A black dot smudged the sky as light started to filter through the trees in the forest. It started to get bigger.... and bigger... until the smaller and less prepared creatures on the forest floor realized it would crush them when it hit earth, so they scrambled out of the way as it thudded to the ground with a loud "Umph!". The creatures in the forest, mostly Floranas, Nagis, and a few Carpetfangs, gathered around it, now and then poking it curiously with a foot or tail. Finally, after grunting in pain for a few minutes, the male Paragon shook himself off. "W-where am I...?"

Where am I...?

The thought resounded in her head louder than any of the Matches chirping or the other sounds of the forest.  She looked to the side with one of her eight eyes, observing the trees.  What is this place...?  Where am I...? She asked herself again as the Pipe Paragon landed, her deep, sapphire skin catching the sunlight as she clasped her emerald wings to her body and flicked her amethyst tail.

Her eight golden eyes opened as she looked around.  "Is... is anyone here?" The Pipe Paragon asked, looking around warily.

"Urg...." Andy grumbled, muscles rippling along his body. Is... is anyone here? His head snapped around, followed by his body. Even though he was thoroughly beaten by the landing, he was still alert. "Who's there?"

Angela, as her name was, seemed surprised that a Paragon would answer her so suddenly.  She slowly emerged from her place in the foliage, her aquamarine aura glowing as she said, "I am Angela." She said simply, her eight eyes fixed on Andy.  Her gaze was questioning, curious, but also warning.  "And who might you be?" She inquired, sitting in front of him.

Andy grunted as he struggled to get up into a sitting stance. "Andy," he said simply, licking his biggest wound on his hind leg with his snake-like tongue. His eyes flickered back and forth from the gaping wound to the Pipe Paragon in front of him.

Angela trainer a pair of eyes on the wound, but let her other six wander.  This, she thought, is the one advantange to being an eight-eyed "freak", as I'm called back home. She saw several Floranas and Nagis, as well as some Matches, but now, she had her eyes trained to the wound.  "How did that happen, might I inquire?" She asked, looking at it curiously.

Andy grunted as he hit a particularly deep spot on the wound, but looked up at the question. His tongue, somehow, kept licking while he was talking. "I guess it's from the landing. W-where exactly am I?"

He wondered where Pima was... perhaps she'd been transported here too?

Angela thought for a moment.  "Well... I'd say this looks remarkably like the Roraldi Forests of Lambastia, in Evelon." She said, looking at the trees.  Indeed, it seemed as though this was Roraldi.  "Must have been a rough landing.  Are you... not originally of Evelon?" She asked.  She'd heard of a Lucain that had originally been a squirrel, but she'd never met anyone that wasn't originally Evelonian before.

"E-evelon? W-wha?" Had he been transported to another world? Another universe? The male was beginning to feel dizzy. He needed to know someone was here with him. "H-have you heard of a... Pima?"

"The name rings a few bells to me.  That name reminds me of several other pets that are paired with some of my trainer's." She said.  "I'm not sure where in Evelon she'd be right now, but I know for a fact there is a Pima here.  Why, is she a relative of yours from the... other place you came from?" She asked.

Few! At least Pima's here. "Great!" Andy smiled, his heart glowing deep blood red for a moment. "She's my best friend, and we're related by that."

Angela's head inclined slightly.  "I'm sure you'll find her soon enough.  Humanoid companions... they have an uncanny ability to be in many places all at once." She said, chuckling.  "So... what realm did you come from before?  Have you any memories of it?" She asked curiously, tilting her head.

"I come from Earth." The Paragon's wings twitched unsteadily on his back, and he focused on his wound more urgently. "Do you have a human companion?" His eyes tilted up to Angela, and a reptilian smile touched his lips.

"I do indeed.  Her name is Aila." Angela said, chuckling.  "I am also her sister, although I have heard her say that she wants to take a Lucain form versus a Paragon form.  I am also acquainted with her friends, Deraj, Ciren, and Nyera." She said, recalling the rather odd group of human-form Lucain conversing and playing cards.  They certainly were an interesting bunch, if "interesting" was an appropriate term for them...

"Lucain?" Everything was so new to him, he felt a little stupid in this new world. He didn't even know what a Paragon was! And, obviously, it's what he was! So, he focused on licking away the last of the germs in his wound.
