I'lanae felt an amazing warmth as Ai said "Together". Yes, together. She said. Together, as we should be. She looked up at him, wondering if he would say anything as to what 'together' would look like for them.

Telemachus saw a gleam of pain in Quail's eyes, but then it was gone. He smiled back at her, and said, Quail, my love. I never would have believed that today, I would meet the most amazing lucain that there ever was, and that she would love me. And yet here we are, together...and loving each other. Fate can be such a wonderful thing, can it not?

Ai didn't say a word for a moment, all he did was look into her eyes, carressing them, and taking pictures. I do hope you know that together would be very hard for us. We both come from two different backgrounds, and we would not get to have nearly as much fun as we would because we would be seperate. But, ah, together as we should, that I have to agree with you on. He smiled playfully at her. His mind was at rest, nothing was wheeling trying to understand this- because he simpley did.

Quail's eyes joined in with her smile more brightly, regaining a hint of playfulness. Yes, it can be. But it can also be such a fickle thing to! Just to think, if you had not been pushed by I'lanae I never would've met you, and Ai never would've met her. Now give that some pondering, will you? Suddenly, she giggled slightly, before she gentely nocked him over and started to trot in the otehr direction, aiming a playful glance towards Telemachus.

I'lanae smiled as she gazed back into Ai's eyes. Yes, it would be hard. But if we truly love each other...I hope...I know...we can make it work. And perhaps someday... She stopped and blushed. She had been about to suggest going to the mating rooms and have pups, but she knew that it was not her place to do so. She looked up at him, still blushing, and offered him a sheepish, embarressed smile.

That is true...for at least one thing, I owe thanks to I'lanae. Suddenly, he felt a genlte push by Quail. He laughed, and leapt towards her. That was just another amazing thing about her...her playful heart, young spirit. That was one of the definate pros when it came to her.

Yes, perhaps someday I'lanae, one day. He spoke softly to her, comprhending the comment with a smile. One day, I promise He added in his thoughts, as he gentely started walking with her forward, other then standing still. His eyes were gentle as they caressed her image, and his act was loving, caring, and all of the above, it was peacful, serene, without any lingering thoughts of tears.

Probebly the only thing! Quail laughed at him, and plundered closer to his body warmth. She had calmed her laughs thoroughly by the time she had reached his side, but she was still grinning madly!

I'lanae smiled, not surprised that he had guessed her thoughts. She was glad that he did not disapprove of the idea...hopefully someday soon... She could just imagine Ai as a father. She was sure he would be the best there ever was.
She walked forward with him, towards the others. They said no words, and yet none were needed. They could dwell joyfully just in each other's presence...and in each other's love.

Yes, but she need not give me anything else in the world. She has helped me find you...and for that, I could never offer enough thanks. Telemachus smiled back at her, his gaze warm and loving. I'lanae and Ai were coming close now, but Telemachus was unashamed. He hoped that Quail felt the same.

Ai sighed contenetly, as he finally looked away from I"lanae towards Quail and Telemachus. Seems he wasn't the only one to find love on this trip. But ah, his gaze could not tear itself away from his love for long, and soon he was keeping one eye on her, and the other staring at the serene perfect meadow, where the picnic had yet to happen. Love was very fickle, but not so he had not forgotton a picnic. Well, my love, it seems that we have a picnic. Would you ever be so kind as to allow me the opportunity to escort you there? His voice held a light teasing tone, as he stopped and bowed to her. It was just the thing he knew that would get her to laugh, he hoped.

Its really a shame that those two couldn't have left us more time to bond. Truely a shame. Oh! There goes Ai, it seems that we almost forgot about our picnic! Would you be ever so kind to take me over ther? Her smile was graceful, and it looked like it threatened to burst into a large grin, but self control was one thing she could manage.

I'lanae laughed at Ai's gesture. Playing along, she said in a mock tone, Why, yes, I believe that would be very good. She laughed again as she allowed Ai to escort her over to the picnic.

Yes, it is a shame, isn't it? Telemachus said. He smiled back at her. Of course, where are my manners? Quail, it would be a pleasure to escort you.

Ai reached the picnic basket, and gracefully detangled himself from I'lanae, before setting up the picnic. When he was sure she was confortable and sitting, he arranged the array of food that just kept coming out of the basket. Then, he waited for the other lovebirds to hurry up and get over, so they could eat.

Quail laughed, and let him take her over to the picnic, that Ai was finished setting up. She was deliberately going slow to remain away from I'lanae, her anger from earlier, hadn't entirely melted, but she was carefully monitering her movements so she wasn't aggresive, or any more then slightly hostile.

I'lanae felt her fur prick a bit as Quail returned. She opened her mouth to say something rude, but then looked at Ai. He looked so happy, so amazingly handsomely happy. She didn't want to ruin this moment with harsh words and fighting. So, she simply nodded at Quail and snuggled closer to Ai as Telemachus and Quail sat down.

Telemachus could see that the females were a bit...well, uncomfortable with each other. He was sure that a fight was about to ensue when I'lanae opened her mouth, but then, to his amazement, she closed it again. He had seen her glance at Ai, and couldn't help but grin at the love he saw between them. The same love between Quail and I. He thought, as he looked towards his beautiful Quail. He was hoping to catch her eye, he could do something to show her that he appreciated the fact that she, as well as I'lanae, was restraining herself. This moment was one to beautiful and amazing to be ruined.

Ai let her snuggle closer to him, proud that the females had decided not to ruin this picnic. He nodded his head in greeting to Telemachus before repeating his customary greeting to Quail. Good Afternoon, Quail. He paused before addressing them both, I am so sorry to keep you waiting, but I had a minor mishap with the directions. He glanced at I'lanae, and winked to her, because he was trying to keep this meeting as informally formal as he could, so that no one could get embarressed.

Quail noted that I'lanae had snuggled closer to Ai, and with that, she didn't believe for one second what Ai said. She raised her eyebrow at him, and seemed to say, You'd better give me the truth later. But, besides that, she found herself closer to Telemachus then she had ever been towards any male. It was puzzling, to her, that she wasn't embarresed by her love for him, but she deemed to fine. If I'lanae was confortable here, then so could she. Well, lets not keep our hungry stomachs waiting! Dig in! She tried desperately to keep her tone light, and she succeeded, some. It was halfway torn between happiness, and disgust, that she had to share this with I'lanae. But it was mostly happy.

I'lanae smiled back at Ai, thanking him with her eyes for not including her little mishap. She looked up at Telemachus and said, Well, Telemachus, it looks like we shall have to wait a bit longer before returning to our pens. Not that I care so much in such pleasent company. She turned around and looked at Ai, copying his gesture and winking.

Telemachus had never seen I'lanae like this. But it was a pleasent change, and one that he hoped would stay. He looked at Quail and noticed a bit of an unhappy tone in her voice, and guessed that it was I'lanae. He flicked his tail gently on her shoulder to let her know that he was supporting her and grateful that she chose not to fight, before echoing her words. Yes, let's dig in!

Ai didn't look lik ehe could beam any happier at I'lanae. But, as his stomach growled at him with the food sitting righ tthere, he looked apologetically towards I'lanae as he started to eat his sandwich. Quails look had irked him though, just cause he would have to explain himself to her sooner or later, it seemed that he had finally settled with the annoying downs to have a sister.  Oh well, his eyes rolled as he looked at Quail, chewing his sandwich like he would never eat again.

Quail hid a laugh at Ai's eye roll before starting to eat her food. The array was deliscious, and not poisoned by her own bad hand at cooking, but was made skillfully by the kuhnas and Ai. She flicked a grimace at Telemachus, noting his tap, though to show that she was not going to last forever near I'lanae unless they got to talk some of it out, without the hostile nature that had ocuppied them earlier.

As I'lanae watched the others start to eat, she suddenly realized how hungry she was. She grabbed a sandwich and started taking large bites. She had never been very ladylike. But then, wondering what Ai would think of her, she looked at him, hoping he didn't think any...less of her because she wasn't the perfect lady.

Telemachus made a sympathetic face at Quail, understanding her feelings. He had many times felt the same way about I'lanae before he had goten used to her. He looked at I'lanae, caught her eye, and flicked his tail in the direction of Quail, indicating that he wanted I'lanae to try to make things up between them. I'lanae made a face back at him, but then turned to Quail and cleared her throat.

I'lanae sighed, knowing that for the happiness of the whole group, she and Quail would have to be able to clear things up between them.
Quail, listen. She said. I know I haven't been the nicest since we met...in fact, I've been pretty hostile towards you. I...I'm sorry. I guess I've just become a bit tough from living on the streets since I was a pup. I'm not trying to make excuses or anything...I'm just hoping that you can understand...and forgive me?

Ai looked at I'lanae encouragingly. He truely didn't care about her manners, not everyone was born to his parents high expectations. But, he loved that she had enough...guts, to apologize to Quail. This was a huge stress between the two, and he knew it.

Quail's breath caught in her throat. She recovered, and her gaze lifted to I'lanaes unwavering. She had recovered her shock, but that didn't mean she had totally believed I'lanaes attempt at peace. Quail wanted this to mean something to her personally not something she thought she needed to do, so her voice was naturally suspiscious as she answered. I... I think I forgive you. But... her words faltered as she attempted to explain. It was a knot within herself to not trust I'lanae, to not give her the benefit of the doubt, but then another part deemed her trustworthy, if Telemachus had given her his trust. It was just... not something she had ever felt before. Doubting herself was not a common thing in her life. It could never be. It meant she failed.

Encouraged by Ai's look, I'lanae went on. Quail, I understand that you don't trust me. And I don't blame you. I probably wouldn't trust me if I were you. But I just wanted you to know, I truly am sorry. I've been cruel and rude my whole life, and now...I guess I just want to change. So, starting with you, I'm going to try to be better. I know that I can't make you forget the things I've said to you, but perhaps you could put them behind you?

Telemachus smiled, proud at I'lanae for finally speaking up. He had never heard her apoligize to anyone before. He looked at Quail, hoping that she would be able to put this spat behind them. He didn't doubt that I'lanae truly wanted to change and be nicer, he could see the truth in her eyes. But if Quail would not put it behind her, I'lanae might get angry...just from past experiences and habit. He begged Quail with his eyes to forget their earlier troubles. He knew that he would love Quail no matter what, even if she started a fight with I'lanae right now. But he knew that it would be alot easier for all of them if Quail and I'lanae could sort this out now.
