These woods are nice for a casual walk or even if you have a more adventurous urge. Bubbling hot springs lie just around the bend, fruits can be found to suit every taste bud, and rumor has it there are talking Tali who can speak Lambastian! (+2 Precision)

Rei'Va swam farther from the center of the spring. When He got close enough, his sparkly scales attracted the youngster! It seemed as the baby had never seen a creature like him. I hope this doesn't go wrong, Rei'Va thought. That battleheart would be a fearsome opponent, should the young Serraptor seem a threat to the little one. He stayed inconspicuous, yet still allowed his scales to shine for the baby to admire.

Proxy nodded to Morana, keeping the baby in his sights. He allowed the feathery apparition to dangle a little more closely—hoping to help entice the young one to grab at it. He debated over Morana’s words, turning the corners of his mouth down and nodding his head to one side in a mock acceptance.

“I suppose it’s only natural. I promise I’ll behave myself around the kid…” This came with a toothy grin and a wink. Behave…right. As if he really knew how to do that.

It was a ripple in the water that grabbed his attention and made him turn his head. There was something not right—no fish in their right mind would live in a hot spring. That meant something else…possibly unwelcomed…was here.

Then he saw the shining eyes and the green mop of wet feathers. Serraptor. He hated Serraptors. The pesky little reptiles always seemed to travel in tribes…so where was the rest of this ones family? Raising his bludgeon ended tail from the water he let a very low and primal rumble rise in his throat as he placed an arm around behind Morana to shield her back with his wing.

“Show yourself or I’ll have to assume you’re a threat.”

((Welcome aboard! Try to stick to the posting order (Cita, myself, then you) and try not to do too much powerplaying. Remember—only Cita can decide what the baby is doing. X3
EDIT:...On second thought, posting order should now be Cita, you, then me. Because otherwise I don't have a lot to reply to. My bad. ^^;))

[Morana lv9][40][Akosmato lv3][14]

The child giggled and stretched, grasping at Proxy's feathers... And even when it seemed he had ahold of them, his fingers just ghosted through them. Not exactly understanding he made a discontented noise... That was, until he caught the shine off of the newcomer's scales. He twisted a little in his mother's arms, cooing softly.

Worried for her young one Morana immediately pulled him closer, watching Proxy for a moment and smiling. "Do you think you can behave, Proxy?" Of course, it seemed like he was going to, since he was instantly protective. Morana had to be grateful - she couldn't fight with a child in her arms.

Rei'Va poked his head out of the water. When he heard the Battleheart's voice, he instinctively shot to the edge of the pool. Although he was terrified, he managed a weak smile and a chirp. Why would a Battleheart think he was dangerous? He was just a kid! He wouldn't be able to do anything harmful! He remembered his claws, and perked up. Well, I do have claws. If it comes to it, might as well use them.

Proxy narrowed his eyes to what seemed to be a yearling reptilian s it bolted to the waters edge. Odd behavior—but then again those tribe dwellers always seemed to have something under their scales. An ambush? Was the child a decoy for something? Lowering the bludgeoned end back under the water’s surface—Proxy did not move from his protective stand over Morana and the infant.

“Hey, I didn’t say I was good at behaving, just that I’d try.” He said to his Tundragoon companion with a slight smirk. The Serraptor had smiled as well—what was going on.

“You seem a little far from  normal tribe grounds, kid.” It was not a real question or even passing thought. Proxy was digging for hints of why the young creature would stray so far from the safety of a tribe.

[Morana lv9][41][Akosmato lv4][15]

Postby Citanul » 05/20/2009 12:26 PM

As the young Serraptor surfaced and moved Morana watched him carefully, pulling Akosmato closer to her. She was certainly protective of the little one - expecially since the Serraptor had decided he wasn't speaking. She growled softly, low in her throat. Proxy at least, would reconise the sound from their encounter in the Slums.

Akos squirmed a little but was soothed by being held close to his mother, though he turned in his blankets and tried to get a good luck at the reptile that was approaching them.

"You're certainly good at behaving right now, Proxy." She murmered as she continued to watch the Serraptor. "You should head to your homelands, before your tribe leaves you behind."

Tribe? He wasn't in a tribe. Him, his mother, and his father had been on their own since before his egg was even laid. He didn't know what being in a tribe was like. "I don't have a tribe," Rei'Va tried to say, but all that came out was a sad little squeak. He wasn't educated in the act of speech yet. He noticed that the dragon's weren't moving, so he swam a few feet closer, hoping to show that he was harmless. When he glanced up, he saw the Battleheart and other creature (I can't remember what the other dragon is called), and started to tremble, abd dashed toward Morana, and cowered behind he back. Please don't hurt me, please don't hurt me, please don't hurt me, please don't hurt me......

Proxy nodded to Morana without looking at her or the small infant squirming in her arms. There wasn’t much he could do if this little reptile in the water before them decided to act—could he really kill in front of Akos’s young and innocent eyes? He didn’t want to have to find out.

The small squeak from Rei’Va almost wasn’t heard—all Proxy could see was the little Serraptor dashing behind Morana. His eyes flared with ghostly fire for a moment as his massive body moved to snatch up the annoyance. Then the squeak Rei’Va had uttered earlier really hit his mind, and Proxy recoiled a little. Could…could this creature even speak his own peace to them?

“What are you doing, child?” Proxy huffed, snorting smoke at Rei’Va as he clung to Morana as best he could, though he barely noticed he was doing so.

((So sorry for the lateness and the shortness. My Proxy muse isnt really sure what he should be doing. >> ))

[Morana lv9][42][Akosmato lv4][16]

Postby Citanul » 06/10/2009 5:46 PM

(Morana is a Tundragoon. ^^)

As the young Serraptor dashed towards her Morana immediately moved, jumping out of the water and pulling her son close as a low snarl rumbled in her throat - obviously unsure what this little creature was doing. Seeing how frightened he looked though... She kept Akosmato curled close, his face against her shoulder as she remained away from him.

"...If you are not here to harm us, then we will not harm you, but you should not sneak up on others as you do." Expecially others with little ones to protect. He was lucky that the Battleheart hadn't snapped him up yet. Not like Proxy would do such a thing... But he likel could.
