A wide open area of flat, grassy land and rocky trenches, supposedly a wide range of ancient civilizations once lived here. Species that like wide, open areas, such as Gyrophants, Serraptors, and Sahound, thrive here, though only the agile survive. (+3 Speed)

Return to Vast Plains

Yolanda nodded, as if to say 'Thank you' and climbed up on D.P's back, the little palmie tucked in her jaws, safe and sound, no matter how hard the little thing struggled.  It was oviously afraid of D.P. and Yolanda enjoyed the taste that welled in her mouth.  The Palmied have to get used to it.  Setting it down on D.P.'s back, she said to it soothingly, "Wherre are you from, little one?"

Terri felt tears well up in her eyes as she was once again forced into an other problem she wanted nothing to do with.  Why were these creatures all so scary?  Why did the nice one put her on this other one?  Terri sniffed and replied, "Take me to the forest line.  There I'll be"- she faltered for a moment- "I'll be among friends who can take me home.  Th-thanks."  Terri felt a tear run down the side of her face.

Yolanda turned to D.P.  "To the forest is where she needs to get.  Can you carry us there?" **
Its 2:45, the baby takes his first breath
The mother never knew he only had a few left.
And the father gets a call in the middle of the night.
His breathe gets short and his chest gets tight.

But he’s sixteen and he’s driving too fast
Takes a turn to the left, it would be his last.
Nobody knows what happens if he turns to the right
Nobody in the car would have died that night.

But he’s thirty-two and invincible
The cancer that he had, it was visceral.
He never saw it coming, though he had his whole life.
Sick in the morning and he died in the night.

D.P. grunted, meaning yes. She quickly whipped herself up into the air, trying to keep from jostling her occupants. "So, the little one's from the forest. Are you okay, little one, you sound like you're crying." D.P. said. Her motherly instincts were stirring in her. She turned to look at the little Palmie. "What's your name, little one?" she asked.
About you and me: it's plain to see,
We only ever want to stay inside and watch TV,
Because that's just as good a memory,
You're just good company,
And I am finally accepting that.

Remember the time when we stole the whole day?
And nobody knows it, we took it away,
And it will be forever mine,
And it will be forever yours
Now we own the night, and it can't be undone,
We'll never forget how it feels to be young,
Cos it will be forever mine,
And it will be forever yours.

Terri shrank backwards as the giant dragon turned to look at her.  "I-I'm fine, yeah." she said, wide eyed.  She was no longer crying, but she was still scared to death.  "I'm Te-Terri." she said.  Terri blinked a couple of times and sniffed.  Why was everyone who was so frinedly so scary?  Terri sighed and tried to calm herself down.

Yolanda laughed silently to herslef, and smelt Terri's fear.  She was a brave little thing to have gotten so far out here on her own, but it didn't show.  She had heart, but it took time.  She was still just a baby on the inside.  Yolanda scanned out into the distance.  No trees yet, but they'd be there soon enough.  Terri'd be with her friends once again.

D.P. flapped a bit more, but tried not to. They were safe for now, the Turkezilla was probably too stupid to realise it had wings. She snorted. She'd always known they had been rude little idiots. She moved a bit, so the cloud vapor would stop wetting her face. The water was welcome, but it was starting to cloud her vision and annoy her. She dipped and weaved throughout various clouds, and soon they were close to the tree line.

Terri spoted the trees just as D.P. did.  Jumping for joy, the Palmie almost slipped off of the giant D.P, and if Yolanda hadn't been there to catch her, she would have.

Yolanda growled.  She understood the poor things excitement, but it had to sit still.  The scent of its happiness was driving her mad.  It was adding to her nasty feelings.
