The sounds dimmed to nothing as he walked around the vast area. Nothing to distract him, no other noises. Just peace. He liked it here, and he wanted to stay. Yet he knew that he could not. Here he didn't have to concentrate much, and he liked it.

He rarely had to use his location senses. And it helped him relax. He just sat down and used his sensors to see everything. With his sounds he can taste, see color, and know what their reactions might be. All within one split second.

His echo located a small rabbit just a small ways away. He quickly concentrated and soon he was able to mask his footsteps to the surrounding area. Soon he was right behind the bunny. And it was totally oblivious to where he was. Then he pounced.

He didn't intend to kill the rabbit, it just happened. After one swipe of the paw, the thing was dead. Upon further inspection he saw that it was already injured. And that helped Muse's emotions a bit. He just helped end its suffering.

He made a small hole and used his echo to see if it was large enough. Then Muse slowly dumped the body of the rabbit into the hole. And then covered the hole over with dirt. He then stood there for a second. Then he moved on.

It was getting dark and muse found himself a tree to sleep under. Even though there were no clouds, one could never be to safe here. Muse took some dead tree limbs that fell to the ground, then he made himself a small fire. It took him a little longer than he wanted to, but he fell asleep. His music dimming and turning to soft rock.

The sun was a quarter the way in the sky when Muse woke up. He then sleepily took his headphones off. He then got up and stretched all the aches and pains away. He yawned again for good measure, then strode away after he scattered all the ashes and other stuff of his once useful fire. He then headed away. Opposite of the rabbit

After about an hour of walking he finally forgot something. His stomach growled and he was all to soon reminded again. He had forgotten to eat. He soon found a large hill, and he waited, and waited. Then the thing he needed desperately came. A small song bird came singing in the air above him.

The song of the bird soon stopped, but its mouth was still moving. As its mouth kept moving, Muse got less and less hungry. Then once he was full the song returned. Muse just ate sound. But the only sound he eats in real sound. No music, no talking. Just wonderful sound.

He was walking around when he heard something. Well you could say saw, but his used echo location to find it, so he heard it. It was a large rock face. Nothing special. Well except that there was a small animal over there.

The animal was about the size of a fox, not big yet not small. He went over and did the same thing as he did with the rabbit. But this time not hitting it. He got really close behind it. Then to get a further detailed look at it he used his echo to see everything on it.

With his echo he could see colors and smells. The thing was really dusty and was the color of a swan, pure white.  It also resembled a cat in some ways and a dog in other ways. But it looked more like a fox than any of those. He then took a chance and leapt onto the creature.

His mistake. The thing bit like crazy and it was nearly impossible to keep still. It just would not relax. So Muse had to do something that he would not normally do. He used a sound wave to confuse the animal.

Oh a little sound never hurt anyone. Well thats where you are wrong. This was a high pitched tonic scream that if tuned right would turn your brains to mush. But luckily Muse got it right and the thing just got dazed instead of killed. He then hit it lightly and the thing was knocked unconscious. He checked its breathing, then slowly flipped it over to where it was belly side up.
