With the talking done, Tapio sighed with relief. It had nothing really to do with whether he liked Hani or not; he just didn't like talking in general. Hopefully, Careen and Izotz would continue to do all the talking, while he could just stand there, just in case they absolutely needed his input on something. He probably wouldn't have to do any more talking, either way, considering how talkative the female Lavamancer was. He'd noticed her jumping and gasping with overflowing interest when Hani had mentioned coming from another Paragon tribe. It sounded like the two females would get along just fine.
With Hani adding that she would rather join Careen's ranks, the Lavamancer clapped her hands together excitedly, her tail joining on the excitement by twirling and twisting. "I completely agree to that!" the female interjected, looking every little bit excited about a new Paragon joining her ranks. Not only that, it was a seemingly pleasant female, too! She had nothing against the guys, really, but they were often not very talkative or open. It was always so much easier to connect with the females.
With the two having explained their faction and Careen even accepting Hani's decision before the leader could say anything, Izotz nodded. "Well, I do agree, fortunately," he replied as he raised an eyebrow at the brown Lavamancer, although it wasn't to scold her. "Since it seems like Careen has stated an interest in taking my job from me," he teased, far from sounding threatened or even serious about the assumption.
"Well, I just know you agree to everything, so I thought I'd save you the trouble," Careen teased back, replying as if she were speaking to one of her best friends, and not to the one who could basically decide her fate amongst the Hive. "That said, I'm so glad you'll be joining my ranks! I'm excited for you to start!" the Lavamancer added, this time turning to Hani and clasping her hands into her own again. "Speaking of that, did Izotz tell you who you'll be rooming with?" It couldn't be Careen herself, considering she would have known about it. Boo.
At the mention of that question, Izotz blinked. "I don't... think I've mentioned that yet," he admitted, grinning sheepishly. "To answer that question now, I decided to have Hani stay with Teofila while she gets the hang of things." Something Nyala had already mentioned to Hani, unbeknownst to Izotz. Still, it was a good thing to know and for the information to be confirmed by the leader himself.
Of course, that wasn't to say everyone agreed. Tapio, who had obviously been unwilling to speak up until this point, suddenly gasped and stared at Izotz with genuine disbelief. "You... You're putting her with Teofila?" he echoed, his voice now steady and louder, and not just an uncomfortable whisper. "Why? You're going to put this newcomer in danger if you do that!"
