It took no time before the first beasts backup came. “
They sent you runts?” Marrisio laughed, four werecain stood before him, he was eye level with each, and none of them had any intricate markings that would say they were high ranking. “
You see your friend, I’ll end you just as fast as I ended him,” he warned, swinging his sword towards their fallen comrade. “
but, you can always run.” He said he did love a good chase. These werecain weren’t having it, they leaped at him, all four at once. “
This is too easy.” He said, pulling his sword up, he punctured one in the gut, it fell limp blood pouring from its stomach area. Two of them slashed their claws aimed at his head. Ducking he brought his sword up and split one of them in half, literally. Guts and hot blood turned the snow red, and melted most of it, making the grass below slick. He could smell the sharp metallic scent of the fresh blood. Now he craved it, depressed that he only had two left. “
They really should have sent an army.” He sighed clicking his tongue in disgust. The last two jumped him, he decapitated one, and with the momentum of the sword still going in his favor he hit the other with the side of the blade, he heard the crunch as the beast’s shoulder bone was made into dust. A scream erupted from the thing and Marrisio had to cover his ears. Quickly he sliced the head off of the last werecain, cutting its sharp scream short. “
That’s not good.” Marrisio laughed, poking at the four bodies. Still he would have to wait for more to arrive to try to avenge their fallen.
