The perfect day.
An undulating sea of sweet grass at his feet. The cold scent of a trickling stream, far off in the distance. The rustle of the thorny plains trees in the breeze. The glint of the sun in the flecks of mica in the rocks.
The most striking, serene, glorious day one could wish for.
The beauty of the scene helped to alleviate some of his stress at getting lost.
Odhran stomped at the ground and snorted in an equine fashion. It was just like him, he supposed. He'd gotten all hopped up over meeting that nice human girl in the barracks, and he'd so looked
forward to protecting her family, too! And then he'd up and gotten himself lost. He wasn't sure how long he'd been wandering out here. Oh, yes, he was certainly self-sufficient. He didn't need humans to groom him every waking minute. But his own foolishness
annoyed him so. If he ever found his way out of here, Alibhe was going to never let him hear the end of it.
A speck of flame-colored light loomed off in the distance. Perhaps someone with directions! His face brightening, Odhran galloped off towards it, wondering who else it could be.

((OOC: Uh, I hope you don't mind my going for an "unplanned meeting" angle. It's just what came out. Sorry... *slinks off*))
