He wished to repay Betty-chan for her exploits as a friend, as a mother, as a partner, as a motorcycle. She showed all the inanimate objects of the world that they, too, could act on their dreams. That they, too, were not stuck to a life of inactivity and inanimate-ness. They could have dreams, and they could accomplish them. They only needed to find their second half.

In Betty-chan's case, that second half was none other than Johnson Smith.

The story had done a tangent into the relationship of Johnson Smith and Betty-chan. But who could blame the story for taking such a turn? Seeing the two riding in the city, sending dirt in their wake, and chasing a criminal: it was truly the image that was the hero Johnson Smith-sama and his trusty best friend forever until the end of time motorcycle, Betty-chan.

Anyone who came across them could only be amazed at all their hardships, and how they persevered.

They needed only to trust each other. As Betty-chan rumbled to maximum motorcycle speed, Johnson Smith was at the steering wheel, guiding her along, leaving beautiful trails behind them. Sometimes it was only unexciting things like sand and gravel, like right now. But there were times where they sent a magical rainbow behind them. It was to emphasize their hero status. It was to inspire all to be amazed at their magical abilities.

Such was what heroes did.

They truly worked beautifully together, showing the true power of teamwork. Few reached such a level of complex friendship and teamwork, after all. That was why Johnson Smith and Betty-chan were such well-known heroes, after all. It went without saying that it wasn't for nothing. They had so much heroism behind them, so much sugoi and kawaii, a combination so rarely found. Usually, a team was either sugoi or kawaii.

But Johnson Smith and Betty-chan were both.

It was a rare combination, and they were proud of call each other their partner. They wished for nothing more than world peace, and to eradicate the world from evildoers. Betty-chan wanted to protect Johnson Smith with all the gasoline and horsepower she had, and Johnson Smith only wanted to repay Betty-chan for her protection and indescribable friendship. Nothing could ever bring them apart. Not even this mist.

Or this criminal, for that matter, that was still running from them.

"Stop, thief!" Johnson Smith cried out, stretching a paw towards the fiend. What had they stolen? For the sake of raising the stakes and the tension, The Plot refused to let it be known. It wasn't because it hadn't thought of anything yet. Of course not.

"Try, you lame hero!" the friend said, sending a shockwave of horror through the locals watching the chase ensue. How could they refer to Johnson Smith-sama as a "lame hero"?! Blasphemy!

Johnson Smith winced. He could feel his hit points dropping. Oh, that had been an awful hit to his health, and even worse, they hadn't stocked up on items yet! They didn't have a single tonic or potion to recover his missing hit points. Had they even saved ever since coming to this town!? That was even worse!

"We can't lose, Betty-chan!" Johnson Smith exclaimed, and with his hit points lost, it made him all the more powerful.

Yes, for truly, Johnson Smith was a main character. Thanks to that, he had a slew of hidden, mysterious abilities that activated just at the right time, as he needed them to save the day and eradicate evil from the world around them.

A glowing red aura started enveloping him and Betty-chan. He was upset now. They had to catch up to this villain so they could arrest them and bring them to justice. They simply had to!

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Johnson Smith roared, the background becoming a slew of random shapes and colors that emphasized the fact this was an intense scene. Locals were witness to a fantastic show of determination from Johnson Smith, as a special ability activated. They had to catch up. There was no other way to put it. It was either that, or letting the world fall into darkness, forever.

Betty-chan rumbled even louder, louder than ever before. Johnson Smith was ready.

Betty-chan dashed onward. To show just how intense and fantastic the move was, The Plot showed it a complete amount of three times, from three different angles. It was to show how much more powerful the two of them had become through the power of determination, as they continued to rise against the odds. Not even a strange fiend with insane running prowess would be able to outrun them now.

The locals could hardly believe their eyes.

It was like Johnson Smith and Betty-chan had completely disappeared from the ether, Betty-chan had increased her speed so much and so quickly. Hats went flying, skirts too, for the sake of fan service in poor taste, for that tiny part of the audience that was watching. Items went flying, the whole causing a lot of money in damages, actually.

But it was fine. It was for the greater good. The locals would let it go. It was a blessing.

Johnson Smith continued to roar with determination and justice in his voice. Him being a Kuhna, it almost sounded like he had grown into a fierce and mighty Lakundra, fangs bared and claws ready to teach the villain a lesson they would not soon forget.

He seemed scary, but it was for the greater good. Therefore, it was okay for Johnson Smith to look like complete nightmare fuel for a split second, or for about just one frame of animation.

The villain looked behind their shoulder. They gasped. The heroes were coming at them with such force. Could they truly outrun them?! Were they actually not so lame? Were they actually true heroes? Had they chosen a bad target this time around? Well, Johnson Smith had been their first target altogether, since they had only been a villain for a matter of minutes, but still!

Was their career ending so soon...?

No... it couldn't! They wouldn't let it be ruined!

Indeed, there was still hope, even for the fiend. After all, they had to make this interesting, both for The Plot, and for the audience. What fun was a chase scene that lasted but for a few seconds? It had to last for minutes, for a while. It needed to be exciting, it needed to be a close call.

They knew exactly what to do. At this speed, they would not be able to turn and swerve. It would save the criminal.

They turned and swerved into an alley. It was dark and cold. Admittedly, it was a little scary. Not as scary as that face from Johnson Smith from earlier, though, so they felt like this had been a good gamble and trade off.

They ran down the alleyway. Behind them, they heard Johnson Smith and Betty-chan driving right past the alleyway at a phenomenal speed. Fools. They had been right. The "heroes" had been going much too fast for this strategy.
