Rosy was really relieved when Draiz said something after that time of silence. She had thought he had passed out! Seeing that his foot didn't look twisted or something was good as well. "I hope you didn't pull a muscle or anything. Let's wait for a bit before we go on."

She was glad when Draiz sat up and was moving his foot. "Good thing you seem at least somewhat fine! Let's be careful from now on. That hole was really well hidden." She walked to it to look at it better now that Draiz had pulled his foot out to see if it was really the entrance to some tunnel and if they had to expect more of them. "Oh!" The hole was large indeed - and at the bottom of it, were two eggs that luckily hadn't get smashed by Draiz' foot. "Eggs! You...found some eggs!" Well, a smaller guy like Terry had probably seen the hole and thought of it as a nice hiding place, not thinking about how humans were much taller and didn't look at the ground all the time.

When he heard Rosy mention the eggs, Draiz almost fell back down because he started laughing so hard. It didn't last too long before he regained himself, brushing away a few small tears that had bubbled up from the laughter. "Guess my dumb luck ended up being of some use after all! I guess the saying 'No pain, no gain' could fit this pretty well. So that means that no smaller creature has come through this exact spot besides Terry either. Though they could've just missed this area by a few meters. Still, looks like we've started to have pretty good luck so far."

Though he didn't get up quite yet, he did scoot back over closer to the hole so that he could reach down and pull them out to place them in the basket with the other two. "Well, since we're going to take a few moments to rest, how about you tell me more about yourself, Rosy?"

Rosy giggled as well, happy that Draiz was obviously not in that much pain and still cheerful enough to laugh. "Yes, it was definitely great luck, though it would have been nice if we had found the eggs without you almost breaking your bones. Then again, I doubt I would have seen the hole either and I'm closer to the ground with my eyes. Let's hope our luck lasts!"

"More about myself?" Rosy was a bit surprised about that question. But well, she had already pried pretty much when it came to Draiz and his forms, so she supposed she shouldn't be that startled. "Well, I'm the oldest of three sisters and live with my family at our chateau in Whisper Forest. My Mom was born here in Evelon as well, though her markings are unusual, too. My Dad is from another world and well..." She wondered if she should really mention this, but well, Draiz seemed rather open about being different. "In my Dad's world, a Fellox is a companion to a god and created after the image of the god. My Dad is the companion to the Grim Reaper and therefore sends souls to the afterlife and sorts them there. I have kinda inherited some of these powers, though I don't really like them. Dad trains me so I don't accidently do stupid stuff with them, but yeah... I'm not sure about how it is in this world, but neither Dad nor me are evil, dark creatures, though."

He was mildly surprised about hearing about her dad's status from where he came, but not so much that he was going to run off now or anything. He had hear stories about all kinds of people, even some that came from different worlds and dimensions. Giving a smile, he started out, "It's pretty obvious to me that you certainly aren't evil and dark. Sure some of your fur is dark, but from the time that I've met you you have been far from evil. And I'm sure your dad is a great person too! After all, he did raise you."

Resting his arms on his knees, Draiz looked up the the sky. "I'm actually the oldest child of my family as well. Or well.. the oldest living one. My younger siblings never got to meet my older sister. And most of my younger siblings are gone now too..." He seemed to be a bit sad at the mention of that, but toward the end he did smile as he continued with, "I do still have one sibling though. But.. I haven't seen her in a very, very long time. She's the reason I travel around. I came here today thinking that just maybe she'd come here as well remembering what day it was."

"Aw, thanks!" Rosy flapped her wings, being a bit embarrassed. "Yeah, Dad is great. You know, he's actually rather...boring. He always goes on and on about rules and things. Mom said being 'Grim Reaper' is actually a desk job in Dad's world, since he has to write down which soul goes where and catalogue it all. Definitely not all exciting and stuff. Which is why I'm not really interested in the job."

She was rather shocked to hear that most of Draiz' family seemed to be dead - unless he just said 'gone' and meant that they had moved somewhere else, which she hoped. Still, it was sad. "What happened to your family, if I may ask. Sounds like something really bad occured." She tried to remember if she had seen a Fenling or human-looking girl with a tail around. "I don't think I've seen your sister, but I've been egg-hunting most of the time instead of being in the crowd watching, so she might be here after all."

"That job sounds a lot better than having to kill people for a living to me. Death is part of life, but I'm sure your dad enjoys cataloging more than taking lives. There are some people who don't think twice before taking a life..." He was still looking at the sky as he talked, as if he was watching something else, like the past.

"When I was younger life didn't mean much to me. Kill a Paragon and it was just a fancy trophy to show off to my father for praise. If you kill you have to expect that someone will want to kill you in return though. It's a vicious cycle that I didn't understand back then, and because of that... I lost my whole family to someone enraged at the loss of someone they loved." He shook his head and looked at the ground now before continuing, "She probably isn't here. She'd probably think I'm dead with the rest of them. It wasn't supposed to live anyways. I did make sure that she got away safely though. There was no use in letting a little child pay for my crime."

"Well, Dad is powerful and he surely could kill, but sending souls means you only kind of...divide the last piece which holds the soul to the body. And you can only do that if the soul has half left anyway. Souls find their way without sending, too, it just makes it easier for them. So it's not real killing, I think. It doesn't even involve blood. I would resist training much more if it would." Rosy didn't particulary like blood. Her father often took her to Lya Pointa for training since a lot of creatures there were hurt by the dark beings haunting the place and Rosy hated it.

She quitely listened to Draiz' story. "That's so terrible. Thanks to my Dad, I have always been raised understanding what death means, but I suppose when no one ingrains that meaning to you in the first place, you only learn when it affects you and the one you love directly." Though it seemed terrible what Draiz had done, Rosy understood that Draiz had realized what he had really caused when his own family had died. She searched for something to say, but in the end, she didn't know how the afterlife of this world worked and she wasn't allowed to talk about these things in the first place. "Even if your sister thinks you're dead, that doesn't mean she wouldn't want to maybe remember the old times. She still could be here, after all. I'm sure you'll find her sooner or later."

"Nah. It's been over ten years now. I'm sure she wouldn't care about thinking back to such days by now. She's probably moved on with her life by now, unlike me. Still, I do hope I'll see her again some day. Even if she might hate me for everything that happened. I just want to hold her in my arms again and say I'm sorry. I want to get to see the woman she grew up to be without her family by her side.."

Standing up, he looked out toward the clearing again. "That won't help us find any eggs though, so let's get back to searching!" As he spoke he looked back at Rosy, smiling.

"I'm sure she remembers. Adults often remember their childhood and carefree days fondly, don't they?" At least that was what Rosy had gathered from speaking to humans; she herself wasn't that old, after all. "As for bearing a grudge, I don't know. I doubt she would hate you still and never look back at the same time, though. You can't do both these things at the same time, so your chances aren't too bad, I think." Probably not the best motivation, but it was all Rosy could provide right now.

"Alright, then let's search! Is your foot okay?" Draiz seemed to be standing just fine, which was good. She was also glad he was smiling. She walked around the hole in the ground. "Let's move a bit careful, though, in case there are more holes around."

"Depends. Mother always told me girls could be quite finicky. I suppose I won't know if Destiny hates me for what happened until I meet her again, if I meet her again. And yeah, my foot is fine. There's a little bit of pain, but it's gone down a lot now. Definitely nothing that can keep me from walking." As he started walking he now switched between looking toward the clearing and looking down at the ground every now and then, not wanting a repeat of last time to happen.

He glanced back at Rosy for a moment to say, "Definitely going to be more careful. But on the bright side it look like we're about to be out of the tall grass for a bit anyways. Then it'll be easier to see where we're going."

"Well, being a girl myself, I can assure you not all girls are like that. Some, though, probably are and I don't know your sister, so I suppose you can just hope for the best." She followed Draiz, who seemed to be walking just fine indeed, happy that he really hadn't hurt himself that badly.

"That's true. It should be nice on the clearing! I admit, I have no ideas how clearings come to exist. I hadn't thought of finding one in an overgrown part. Must be some nature thing, if no one else checks this part of the park." It was a bit embarrassing that Rosy, living in a forest, had to admit she had no clue about these things. It still seemed weird to her. Maybe Terry had made the clearing specifically? "I'm happy to be out of the tall grass for a bit, too, though."

He couldn't help but smile as he listened to Rosy. True, she didn't seem to be finicky in the least. Though his mother had meant those words to be as dating advice, which he knew but enjoyed taking them lightly and just considering it a typical thing to watch out for in all women. He also doubted, or rather hoped, that his sister would grow up to be such since she had been such a sweetheart as a child.

"Well, I believe clearing usually arise from areas where grazing animals enjoy stopping. While they might be fine with walking through tall grass and eating as they go sometimes there are areas with food that they like best, so they come back to that place time and time again with a herd. So over time that area starts to become more cleared out, since the animals are favoring it over other places. Or well... that's what I was told when I was little." As he finished talking he pushed some tall grass aside and stepped forward in to an area where the grass was much shorter, but definitely had not been cut.

The grass came slightly above his ankles and the area was patched with flowers that had been allowed to grow thanks to the sunlight now being able to reach further down. A small spring also ran through the area, passing through a patch of trees before disappearing off in to the tall grass.

"Oh, I see!" Rosy happily walked after Draiz. "But this is Terrace Park! I never knew the park had grazing animals! Though I suppose they could live here, in the wild part. How nice, I never knew these things. Let's hope the animals haven't accidently gotten any eggs or smashed them or anything."

"This is so nice!" Rosy walked forward and enjoyed the nice place they found. "This would be a great area for a picnic if it wouldn't be so hard to reach. But that's probably what makes it so beautiful." Well, they weren't here for a picnic. "Knowing Terry, he put some eggs into the water, just to make me get wet again." Well, the Cuniflare had placed six eggs on an island in the middle of an overgrown pond, so it seemed likely. "I don't think any eggs are just in the middle of the grass here, they'd be too easy to see. We'll have to check the whole area."

"Yeah. I'm sure that since this area of the park seems to be pretty untouched wildlife has found it to be the best area to live. Though with it being like this we might actually ought to be on the watch for predators as well... If there are grazing animals that live within this part of the park that means it'd be quite easy for something like.. a Taigra to live here as well. The tall grass would be the perfect hiding place."

After taking a few steps in to the clearing, Draiz paused and looked at Rosy. "Shall we check the little spring first then? That does seem like it'd be the most likely place to hide eggs, since there are also rocks piled up on the sides in some places..." After waiting for her, he started walking again, this time heading toward the spring.

"Eee! Scary thought! I walked up and down through the high grass so many times now! I hope it wasn't just me getting lucky but that there are no Taigras here. I mean, I can defend myself, but still. There are children participating in this hunt! One would hope they cleared the area of predators first before opening the event." The thought was pretty scary to Rosy. She had her dark powers, but still... "Last year's egg hunt was at the coast and there were Hydrolisks and whirlpools and all...it was quite dangerous. So I guess it's very possible that no one cared here, either..."

"Yes, let's check that!" From where she was, the water looked really clear and pretty and not like the muddy water she had seen here so far. She quickly followed Draiz, hoping that they would get lucky again.
