Longshot sucked on his popsicle quietly, nodding at the prospect of making costumes. "Sounds good to me." he muttered around the popsicle, taking a quick bite. He felt the numbing in his teeth instantly, and gave a little shiver.

"I'm coming too!" shouted Woody. "I'm sure we have some paint and glue at home- mabye a few sequins! And my mamma knows how to sew, and she's teachin' me. I could ask her to come." she said, licking her popsicle near the bottom to stop the run-off from it melting.

Reverb took a bite of her popsicle, ignoring the cold pain in her teeth. It tasted too good to care about that. "If we're makin' costumes, I'm going to bring some more of my equipment. If we make masks, I may be able to get the microphones attached to them instead of our faces. Like, I could put them inside the masks. Would that be cool?" she asked, taking another bite of the popsicle.

"I like that idea," Minty agreed. "'Cuz these are itchy and loud."

"Maybe we can use swimsuits," Jeremiah suggested. "I mean, look at all those other superheroes! They wear, like, swimsuits all the time..."

"I need mine for swimming in," Minty said.

Pomona looked at Woody. "We should go to your house, if your Mom can sew!" She looked excited. "I'll bring my box of stuff! I mean, if you don't mind? It'd be really helpful if she'd help us."

Woody nodded. "I'll jus' have ta ask her, but I'm shure it'll be okay with her." she said with a smile. She was glad that she had made some more friends- her mom had been worried that seh would have trouble. But wait until she saw her now! She was part of a superhero group!

The end of the popsicle stick stuck out of Longshot's mouth. Pulling it out, he smiled. "Done!" he said happily, and trotted off to go throw it in the trash.

Reverb nodded, pulling her own microphone off. "Yeah, hopefully if they're in the masks they won't be. Is there anything else you guys would want technology-wise in our costumes? 'Cause I'm gonna have to bring my kit with me if you do." she said, pulling out her computer, poised to make a list. You know, just in case she needed to add more to her kit so that she could fufill her new team's tech needs.

[Freezair]

"Well, let's see. What do super-costumes need to be? Hmmm... They need to be super-strong and not tear!"

"I can help with that!" Pomona volunteered. "I'm workin' on an experimental new potion! It can make stuff really tough! Maybe if I combine it with Rez's technological stuff, we can, like... get it into the cloth and stuff!"

"They shouldn't be too hot," Jeremiah suggested. "And mine needs to be waterproof, and fireproof. 'Cuz sometimes lightning can burn stuff."

"I don't think I need anythin' special 'sides just strong," Minty said. "But yeah! We should have 'municators in all our masks, and, like... signals! So even if we're out of 'mission, we can still find each other! An' so if we see crime, we can, like... get together to fight it!"

Reverb looked at Pamona. "Sounds good. And I have some super-light mega mesh that my dad works with- it bends like cloth and isn't rough, it's actually pretty nice feeling. We can use it in our capes and masks. And if I made us a signal like a light you shoot into the sky, what should it look like? A cool star looking thing?" she asked, tapping in a small list of things onto her computer.

Woody nodded. "And mine should have a hook or somethin' for my lasso. Oh! And I'd like mine to be purple." she said with a smile. "And am I allowed to wear my hat?" she asked, fingering the brim of her cowgirl hat.

Longshot shrugged. "Well, since you are Lasso Lass, I think it would be okay. I'm sure Snowy's got some stuff we can use- I know that if we need some indoor rinse training, we can always go to my house, though you'll need some winter wear." he said with a small laugh.

[Freezair]

"Cooooooool!" Jeremiah said approvingly. "He'd let us use it? Yeah--definitely a big star!"

"I think we need to take down names and phone numbers!" Minty said.

"Gotcha," Pomona said. She reached into her hoodie pockets and pulled out a notepad and a pencil. "Erm--we all know ours, right?"

"Right," Jeremiah and Minty nodded. Minty and Jeremiah gave theirs; Pomona took them down.

"Anyone else?"

Longshot and Reverb listed out their phone numbers. Woody stayed silent. "Woody? Phone number?" asked Longshot, looking to her.

"Uhm... hold on, I know I know it! It just... isn't coming..." she growled, thinking hard. "Alright, I think that it's..." she listed out a few numbers, then stopped. "No no! It's..." a few more numbers came out, same but in a different order. "Or it's this one." she said, and put out a third combo. "...maybe it would be better if you gave me yours and I called you." she said with an embarrassed smile.

Reverb laughed. "It's alright, Woody. I sometimes get confused over that too."

Longshot nodded. "It's understandable. Now, who wants to go play on the new swingset?" he asked them, jumping up and down. There were two five swing swingsets that stood next to each other that would fit them nicely.

[Freezair]

"I DO!" Minty jumped up and down excitedly. Jeremiah hadn't even noticed there was a new one--he looked around excitedly, going "Where? Where?" until Pomona took his shoulder and pushed his eyes off in the direction of one playground. And there it was--a huge, glimmering new swingset, rows upon rows of black seats swinging from their green-rubber-covered chains, ready for swinging on.

"Oh no!" Pomona said.

"What?"

"Look!" She pointed. "It's the eeeeevil Baron von Bad Guy, and he's trying to prevent the other kids from using the swings!" She looked sideways at the others, and smiled.

"Baron von Bad Guy?" Minty said. "But... he's like the badest guy ever!"

"We've gotta stop him!" Jeremiah said.

"Come on, Starbursts!" Minty said. She raised her hand triumphantly. "We've got eeeevil to deal with! AWAAAAAAY~!"

Longshot nodded, a similar smile creeping across his face. "Riiiight. Let's gooo~!" he shouted, and jumped forward into a run, leading his team towards the swingset.

Woody laughed. "Baron von Bad Guy, you're goin' down!" she called to the pretty much empty swingset. A small child about four years old was being pushed in one of the end ones by her dad, laughing happily and shouting, "Higher, daddy, higher!" The dad glanced at them, but after deciding they were harmless, went on giving his daughter a shove every time she swung back towards him.

Reverb watched with a smile. "Yeah, Baron von Bad Guy, those swings are for everybody!" she shouted, and ran after Longshot, with Woody coming up after her.

Slippers ran up the hill ahead of them, trying to woof like a big, scary dog. He sounded more like a toy poodle. Several kids moved out of their way to make a path for the laughing crowd, as they rushed up the hill to the playground.

From down in the parent's area, Sturmund Peters watched quietly, with his hands in his pockets. He grinned, but his eyes wandered off in thought. He followed Jeremiah's cheerful bound with his eyes, as he chased after the red-cloaked one (Pomona, he thought?) and the one with the cape (Minty) brought up the rear.

"Kid," he sighed. "Well, all of you kids, really."

He laughed. "Good luck with the whole world-savin' thing, kiddies. Lord only knows the world needs it."
