[Remedy]

Allison quickly made her way past a few families having a picnic.  She didn’t want to be kicked out of here for being a Vampire, since that had happened to her plenty of other times in other places.  Her parents always had a special pass, but she wasn’t in contact with them anymore, so she didn’t have that advantage.  The last thing she needed was for some half ton mommy to be squealing about a lady with fangs who’s minding her own business.  She sighed.  Sometimes Allison wished that she hadn’t gone and broken her parent’s heart like that, but Luke was her everything.  She would go back to visit them someday.  Someday…    Allison  looked around.  What am I even doing here? she thought to herself.  Alarice said she needed to ‘train’, and that this was one of the best places to do it.  But there were children everywhere!  If by ‘train’ she meant ‘hunt’, then there was something wrong with that woman.  Two little girls ran right in front of her, chasing each other and giggling.  She smiled and stopped to watch them run back over to their parents.  The mother  took one glance at her and put on a scared look, and Allison knew it was because of the fangs.  She quickly continued on so she wouldn’t cause a scene.  
”If I had a dime for every time I got that look…” she muttered to herself.  A hand touched her shoulder, and she whirled around defensively.  It was a cop.  She looked at him with big eyes and asked sweetly but a tad sarcastically, ”Did I do something wrong, officer?”  She gave him a big grin, flashing her fangs.  The man looked like he was about to wet himself.  “C-c-carry on…” he stuttered before sprinting in the other direction.  Allison laughed a little and continued on with her stroll.

[Remedy]

Allison noticed more and more people staring at her as she walked by.  She tried to stay out of the open, but her attempt to lurk in the shadows was only drawing her more attention and suspicion.  ”God dammit, can’t a Vampire enjoy a stroll in peace?  It’s not like I’m breaking any laws, people.” She yelled at them.  Ally could hear their hearts quicken, thinking they were in trouble.  She watched as they continued on with whatever they were doing very quickly before she continued walking.A few people dared to slip a glance at her, but she ignored them.  Surely Vampires weren’t that uncommon around here.  These people must come from the cities, like her parents.  From what she could recall, not a lot of Vamps were trusted around there.  Another pang of regret struck her as she thought of her paren’t faces when she, their only daughter, left.  It was well worth it though… if only they had accepted her.  She would go back to visit the old mansion someday…

[Remedy]

Allison looked around and sighed.  To tell the truth, she was getting a bit lonely.  Normally, it’s odd for a vampire to get lonely but now she really wished she had brought along someone to talk to, be it Dash or Luke.  Of course, Luke was out exploring somewhere and god knows where that half-blood Dash went.  All of a sudden, she saw a familiar face in the crowds.  It was the only one brave enough to stare at her and grin as well, showing off dull fangs of his own.  She smiled back and motioned him over.  
”Hey, Allison.  Funny seeing you here.  Of course, from all the jittery crowds I would’ve thought you’d be around,” Dash said.  
Allison grinned and said, ”Haha.  I was just thinking about you.”
Dash raised an eyebrow, and she said, ”Hey, not like that.  I was just hoping someone would come along for me to talk to.”
”Has that puppy given up on you?” Dash asked her jokingly yet hopefully.
”No, he has not.  Luke is exploring the Shrine at the moment, and Pickle sent me to… I really don’t know what I’m s’posed to be doing here.  It’s a really odd place for me to be.” Allison said.  ”I really wish you wouls stop pickling on him for being a werewolf.  There’s nothing wrong with that.”
Dash just shook his head and let the topic drop then asked jokingly, ”So would you like me to accompany you on this unknown journey?”
Allison giggled and said, ”Sure, hotshot, but if Luke asked, you weren’t here.  For the sake of your own half-beating heart.”
Dash nodded and walked beside Allison as they talked.

[Remedy]

Allison and Dash walked side by side as they strolled through the park.  They chatted about a lot of things, mostly gossip about people back at the Village.  After a bit of a pause, Dash worked up the gut to ask, ”Allison, why do you love Luke so much?”  He had never heard her talk about her past, really.  Dash had been there when they arrived at the Village together, and instantly fell in love with Allison and hated Luke.  He had always hoped to learn the reason why she loved that ‘mutt’ so much, he just never got a chance to talk to her alone.
Allison sighed and said, ”We’ve known each other for a long time.  I know most of the people back at the Village are strays and outcasts, but I used to be in a very rich family.  I was the only child, so I got whatever I wanted, naturally.  Of course, I wasn’t the only one to let wealth go to my head… my parents never spoke to me, they just tossed me the KS whenever I asked.  They messed up, of course.  Never spoke to me about our natural enimies; werewolves.  I met Luke in preschool and we were best friends.  Of course, his parents never spoke to him about vampires, so one day he invited me over and they flipped out… they called my parents and had them pick up their ‘leech’…  I wasn’t allowed to talk to Luke anymore, but I did anyway.  In highschool, both sets of parents found out that we were still in a close relationship with each other and my parents said the simplest sentence; ‘Him or us.’  We left the next morning… I’ve always felt kinda bad about it, but I do love Luke.  The guilt and the relief from leaving canceled each other out, so I never went back.”
They were both quiet for a minute, and Dash finally said, ”Naaaa….  To mushy for my taste.  Add some killings in there and then tell it.  ‘Makes it interesting-er.”  Allison just laughed.

[Remedy]

The sun was getting higher overhead, and from what Allison could tell, it was about noon.  The light on her skin didn’t hurt, but it was still uncomfortable.  It certainly didn’t make her explode or sparkle.  It just felt… awkward.  Uncomfortable, like sitting on a cold herd surface for hours.  She slipped on over to a shaded tree and sat down out of the sun’s rays.  Dash came over as well and sat next to her.  ”I suppose it bothers you more than me.” he said.  Dash’s skin was a shade darker than Allison’s, and he actually had blood running through his veins.  Of course, his blood was ‘thinner’ than a regular humans, and his heart didn’t beat as fast.  Sometimes it would only beat once every thirty minutes, but when he was running or excited it would beat faster.  
They sat in silence for a while, watching the people around them.  Allison counted how many times Dash’s heart beat.  She wondered how that would feel… he didn’t seem to notice when it thumped, which was surprising to her.  Sometimes the wished she knew how it felt, but she didn’t know if it would be distracting… obviously not, though.  The humans walking by and the half-human sitting next to her were so… normal.  ”Which one of your parents was a vampire?” Allison asked Dash randomly.  It had just crossed her mind, but she was curious on the fact.

[Remedy]

Dash was surprised at Allison’s sudden question.  ”Um…  I can’t remember…” he said.  He knew one of his parents was a Nightwalker, but he couldn’t remember which one that was.  They sat in silence for a few more minutes, and Allison finally said, ”I suppose we should keep moving…  The sun is behind a cloud and I’m pretty sure Alarice didn’t just send me here to sit in the shade."  She was about to get up, but almost immediately, Dash was there offering her his hand.  She took it and got up, then said, ”Thank you, but you really don’t need to do that.”  Dash just smiled and said, ”Meh.  I got hold your hand, didn’t I?” he said, grinning.  Allison realized that her hand was still in his and if she could blush, she would’ve.  She pulled away from him and started walking away from him.  He caught up and said, ”Oh come on.  You know I was just kidding.”  She shot him a glance, and he said, ”Okay, half kidding.  But you’re the only female vampire at the Village, and you’re hot, so you can’t blame me.”  Allison couldn’t help but giggle, and Dash knew that she wasn’t too mad.

[Remedy]

Dash made a few more attempts to make Allison like him the way she liked Luke, but she just ignored them.  Allison liked Dash, of course, but she didn’t like him in a way that would cause her to leave Luke.  If she weren’t in such a strong relationship with this werewolf, though, you could bet she’d be dating Dash.  She wasn’t going to tell him that, though.  Dash sighed and decided to give up on trying to impress Allison for a while.  The sun was coming back out, but it was still mostly shaded by the big fluffy cloud that had come to cover it.  Allison looked up at the cloud and said, ”Tut, tut, tut….  It looks like rain~”  She and Dash laughed about that for a while, when it actually did start raining.  The sun came back out, though, and it’s rays were sending sparkles through the drops around them.  It was an interesting and beautiful sight.  However, the sun was beginning to make Allison feel uncomfortable, like she was sitting in a sauna for hours on end.  She headed on over to another tree and sat down, watching the rain fall.  Dash did a small reenactment of the ‘Dancing in the Rain’ song as he strutted around in an attempt to humor her, and it worked for the most part.  He walked over and sat down by her, silently watching the rain fall.

[Remedy]

As they sat and watched the glistening rain, Allison let her mind wander.  The view was so romantic, but she felt bad having to share it with Dash.  She liked Dash, a lot, but she liked Luke just a little bit more.  As she sat, she wondered what her life would have been like if she hadn’t met Luke, or if they hadn’t become friends.  She wouldn’t have met Dash, or any of the nice people back at the Village.  She would have had a boring life of proper etiquite, and her parents would’ve probably set her up with a nice vampire boy.  She would have had the life that she only half wanted.  She was never truly happy at home.
As Dash sat there, he wondered what his life would have been like if that fat idiot Luke hadn’t demolished his chances with Allison.  It was a hard thing to process, but he could see them having a family, with quarter-human children.  Of course, if he ever mentioned that to Allison now, she would sock him in the nose.  He sighed.  If only things were different…

[Remedy]

Allison turned her head to look at Dash when he sighed.  ”Is everything alright?” she asked.  Dash nodded but he didn’t say anything.  He seemed to be deep in thought.  Allison wondered what he could be thinking about, and wished that she had the talent to read minds.  She waved her hand in front of his face.  He shook his head and looked at her.  ”I’m sorry…  what?” he asked.  Allison just laughed and jokingly said, ”I’m just making sure you’re alive.”  Dash laughed and looked up at the sky.  The raining had stopped, and the sun was now fully out.  The light cast a beautiful and romantic and rare double rainbow across the park.  Dash and Allison gazed at it in wonder, and Dash’s hand fell on top of Allison’s.  This time, though, she didn’t pull away.

[Remedy]

Allison sighed.  She could hear Dash’s heart quicken as they sat there holding hands and staring at the rainbow.  She knew she shouldn’t be leading Dash on, but she couldn’t help it.  God, I feel like that girl from the Twilight Series…  What’s her name?  Bella? she thought to herself.  She was humored with the fact that it was quite like that except Jacob was replaced with a half-blood, Edward was replaced with a werewolf, and Bella was replaced with a full Vampire.  A humorous smile played on her lips while she thought about this.  
Dash looked over at Allison, and felt very pleased.  It seemed as if he may have a chance with her after all, in his mind, anyway.  He squeezed her hand gently, and Allison looked over at him.  They stared into each other’s eyes for a few long seconds, then they leaned in and were about to kiss each other.  About two inches from each other’s face, though, they were interrupted.

[Elektra]

Ayden was still out and about trying to collect some Rattegans for more of his experiments when he caught some kind of scent.  It smelled so horrible that it almost made him woozy.  Trying to ignore it, he headed toward wherever it was coming from.  But then another scent accompanied it.  A Vampire.  That's what the scent was.  But why did they smell different?  Deciding that one wasn't exactly a normal vamp, since it smelled like a human, he thought back. He recalled something about a humanoid vampire.  They were rare, but maybe this was one.  Not being able to pass up a chance like this, he proceeded, hoping that whoever was there would be friendly.  His brothers were the fighters, whereas he was the nerd.  Not to say that he couldn't fight.  It was just that he didn't like to.

Finally, he found the source of that stench, but the sight shocked him.  It was two vampires, like he suspected, but the one with the stronger scent, he actually knew!  Which was extremely surprising, since his mother had always made sure that they weren't ever around a vamp.  Except for that one time...  Luke had a girl over in middle school that was one.  And looking at this one closer, he finally realized what was happening.  Allison, the females name, was cheating on Luke!  

Rushing up, his hackles rose, he rushed in between the two, stopping them from kissing.  "What do you think you're doing Allison?!  What about Luke?"

[Remedy]

Allison jerked back.  "AYDEN?  Where did you- This isn't what it looks like." she said frantically.  She hadn't seen Ayden in a while, but his smell was unmistakable.  If her face could've been any paler, it would have.  She didn't know what else to say, but she was so nervous that her hands were unusually clammy, and for a vampire that's really saying something.

Dash turned to look at the person who had interrupted him.  His nose recognized it before his eyes.  He knew it was a werewolf, and at first he thought it was Luke.  He stood up and backed against the tree, ready to defend himself, but then he heard Allison call the... thing 'Ayden'.  He moaned.  "There are more of them?  Ally, how many of these things do you know?" he asked.  He was very annoyed since this other werewolf had ruined his chance of kissing Allison when he was so close.  Literally.  

Allison flinched when Dash called her 'Ally'.  Luke was the first one to ever give her that nickname, and she knew Ayden knew it.  This might be bad...

[Elektra]

"First off, I'm not a thing.  I'm Ayden, Luke's brother.  As for how many she knows, that really isn't something you need to know, but I'll tell you anyway.  Along with Luke and I, there's four others, depending on how busy the parents have been.  And you," he said, swivling around on Allison, "should be ashamed of yourself!  What the hell were you thinking?!  Not only are you risking Luke, but you're also putting the idiot's life in danger!"  He knew what Luke was capable of, especially considering his opponent would be a vamp.  Ayden had said all this through clenched teethe, trying to control himself.  "I thought you and Luke were still together, Ally.  Judging from what I had heard lately, you were way more than just together."

[Remedy]

Allison cringed with every word Ayden said.  "Ayden... please calm down.  It was only a kiss- it was only about to be a kiss -it didn't mean anything more than that.  Please don't tell Luke..." she said quietly, almost begging.  She cast a side glance at Dash, hoping that he wouldn't question on what Ayden had heard lately.  She bit her lip, trying to decide whether or not she should just tell him... Later, she told herself.  There were bigger problems at hand.

Dash growled.  He hated seeing Allison upset, and this... guy was making things worse for her.  Who was this guy anyway?  A friend of Luke's?  "Look dude, back off.  I don't know who you think you are, but I don't appreciate you making her this upset."  he said angrily.  He was a little bit thrown off by what Allison had said, that what was going to be their kiss didn't mean anything.  She'll soften up at some point... he thought to himself.  Then another thing struck him.  He turned to Allison and hesitantly asked, "What has he heard lately?"

Allison frantically looked around and said, "Um... nothing.  Don't change the subject.  What were you saying Ayden?"  She turned back to the werewolf with pleading eyes, hoping he would understand.

[Elektra]

"I'd calm down if you'd come to your senses!  You know that Luke hates it when you flirt with other guys, and this is definitely flirting; and a bit more to."  Ayden was finally able to stop his ranting on Allison, but he wasn't about to stop with the stinky vamp friend of hers.  "Okay, A, I'm Allison's friend, and one of Luke's many brothers, so I am allowed to be here. B, don't tell me what to do or I am frigging going to rip your smelly, fanged head off.  And C, well, let Allison tell you C.  I'm surprised she hasn't already told you, since you two seem like pretty close friends."  Immediately, he regretted saying that last part, but like Luke, he had an extremely hard time controlling his temper, especially in situations like this.
