"Eep!" Channi jumped out of the way of a blast of fire jetted her way by her new Dreamweaver Garudor. The creature was not yet used to her, and didn't take kindly to her trying to lead him into the park. His long lead now dragging on the ground, the large bird strutted into the park matter-of-factly, as though making a point. Channi glared up at him, brushing a stray lock of hair out of her face. A Chombones and a Blossom Sygriff peaked out from their perch between the Garudor's wings.

The Sygriff fluttered down to the ground, lighting on the ground a couple feet away from Channi. She looked at her with some curiosity. Tentatively, she took a step towards her. Channi smiled, stretching out a hand-paw to beckon her forward. The Sygriff shuffled backwards. Completely disinterested, the Garudor looked away. The Chombones ground her teeth softly.

"Awe, don't be scared," Channi cooed, wiggling her fingers. "Com'mon, Calendrea . . ." The Sygriff tilted her head slightly. "Ah, you can understand me?" Calendrea nodded slowly, eying her new owner cautiously.  "Your name is Calendrea. Can you talk, girlie?" Channi asked. The Garudor blinked. The Chombones snapped at a fly.

{4/5} Calendrea pouted as best a Sygriff can, and looked away. Channi frowned. "Guess not," she sighed. She looked back up at the Garudor. He was obviously ignoring her. She sighed again, turning her attention to the Chombones on his back. "Hey, Nex! Hey, little miss Chombones, that's you!"

The Chombones, suddenly aware that the strange dog thing (her new owner) was trying to communicate, ground her teeth in a disturbing manner. Channi covered her sensitive canine ears. Maybe a Chombones wasn't the best pet to get. The Chombones ground her teeth again, then fell off the Garudor's back. Both the Garudor and Calendrea looked over to where the little monster landed, surprise written on their faces.
