Almost large enough to be considered a theme park while remaining free to the public, Terrace Park is rumored to have been the site of the Grand Hollowheart's defeat, leading to the Hollowhearts first accepting a pact with humans. (+2 Fame, +2 Endurance)

~Jakuza (jah-koo-za)~

The immense Battleheart glanced around uncomfortably at the humanoids and pets around him. He knew they were staring. Staring at him with judgmental eyes. All of them wondering why he was here. All of them expecting him to turn vicious at the drop of a hat and snap someone up. Several pets that were just playing and having a good time would drop what they were doing and run at the sight of him. Jakuza emitted a sigh that came out as a soft growl deep in his throat. Of course that sent whispers throughout the park.

Normally, the misunderstood creature would never be somewhere as inhabited as here, but he was here for a reason. Jakuza had heard of the little bird called a Mr. Wilson. He heard they were rather cute creatures that could be taught to speak like a parrot. He figured if he could befriend such a gentle bird, he wouldn't be so misunderstood and he'd have a friend besides the other battlehearts back home.

Raising his large head, he sniffed the air for any signs of the bird he searched for. More whispers from the surrounding onlookers. "He's probably scoping out the most delicious one.." Jakuza ignored the draculi's remark. His taloned feet meshed the soft grass as he searched for not only a Mr. Wilson, but also a less crowded spot. Around his neck was a small pouch of birdseed and next to that a bag of crackers.
How can you see into my eyes like open doors,
Leading you down into my core where I've become so numb,
Without a soul my spirit's sleeping somewhere cold,
Until you find it there and lead it back home...

The scaly creature layed down in a patch of green grass under a tree that was fairly sheltered from the rest of the park. A small rumble bubbled up from his throat as he began to sing in his gruff yet gentle voice. It was the Song Of Truth, otherwise known as Shinjitsu No Uta. Reaching behind his wing, he pulled out the japanese floor instrument (forgot what it's called) and began playing carefully with his claws.

Akaku nijimu taiyou wa subete wo
Terashite kita ima mo mukashi mo

Kono yuuyami ni egaiteru souzou wa
Hatashite
Kono te ni oenai mono na no ka?

Motto ima ijou ni
Hadaka ni natte
Ikite yuku sube oshiete yo
Hon no sukoshi dake watashi wo yogoshite
Sou yatte hitori kizutsuitari
Mawari wo nakushita to shitemo
Shinjitsu no uta wa kono mune ni nagare

The parkgoers listened, fear instilled in their eyes. Alot of them didn't know japanese, so most thought he was singing some dark song. Even though the notes that flowed from his claws and throat could calm even the most enraged of beasts.  Jakuza payed them no heed as he melted into his beautiful song.
How can you see into my eyes like open doors,
Leading you down into my core where I've become so numb,
Without a soul my spirit's sleeping somewhere cold,
Until you find it there and lead it back home...

((Key, female treasure serraptor))

The serraptor heard the music and insantly stoped to listen. She looked around at the scared looking others, and then looked back at the instroment, finding them weird. Nothing was scary about anything. How could music be scary? Music was always pretty. Inless it was that weird stuff with bad words that Knight seemed to hate so much, but Key hadn't ever heard any of that.
The music did not seem to calm her, but then again nothing could. She just stared, her curious child-like eyes noticing everything. She seemed the oppisite of relaxed, but not of fear or any thing like that, but just pure childish hyperness.
You may call, you may call
But the little black cats won't hear you.
The little black cats are maddened
By the bright green light of the moon;
They are whirling and running and hiding,
They are wild who were once so confiding,
They are crazed when the moon is riding
You will not catch the kittens soon.
They care not for saucers of milk,
They think not of pillows of silk;
Your softest, crooningest call
Is less than the buzzing of flies.
They are seeing more than you see,
They are hearing more than you hear,
And out of the darkness they peer.
With a goblin light in their eyes!

Jakuza only continued his music, strumming the delicate strings with his claws. His voice had smoothed as he looked about the park. He didn't figure his song would attract a Mr. Wilson, but he could always hope.

Arasoi wa mada tsuzuku n darou
Dono michi ima ga taisetsu na no sa

Gamushara ni natte
Miotoshite kita mono
Tatoeba dareka no
Yasashii hohoemi mo

Eien wo shireba donna kurayami mo
Itami mo itsuka kiete
Sou yatte ima wa watashi wo yogoshite

A certain treasure serraptor seemed to stick out from the crowd. Her expression wasn't much different from the rest...Much. There was something else that showed itself, though she looked rather young so Jakuza didn't expect her to come close. Not that he'd mind if she did. Watching her with his blue eyes, he finished his song.

Zutto mukashi mita tenkuu no shiro ni
Itsuka wa tadoritsukeru
Shinjitsu no uta wo michishirube ni shite

Eien wo shireba donna kurayami mo
Itami mo itsuka kiete
Shinjitsu no uta wa kono mune ni nagare

Key continued staring. She didn't seem to notice that the larger creature playing the instrament was looking at her. She was too intent on watching him play the mushic. Her curious eyes followed every movement. She looked around at the crowd, and slightly pouted at their weird expressions. Why, even Rapter, the battlefeild serraptor that led the tribe back home, would like music. Not glare. And he glared at everything! Or so it seemed like that to Key, but maby that was just her playing the role of a little sister. She turned her eyes back to the music. She expected the humans to act strange like that. Most she met did. But the others...

Jakuza placed the instrument back in it's safe hiding spot and continued watching the serraptor as she watched him. Finally, he decided to speak. His voice was gentle and deep. "You can come closer if you wish." To the point. His spiked tail waved peacefully behind him. Several more whispers of warning came from the people and pets. "I wouldn't do that." "Battlehearts are sneaky. He'll eat you if you get close." Jakuza shrugged them off. "Whatever you wish to do." With that, he began scanning the skies for the bird he searched for.

Key hopped closer, too hyper to walk normally. "That was cool music!" She told him, and then continued seemingly without breath, "Those people are weird.  I have three battlehearts around where I live! They are nice! eccept two of them can get into REALLY bad moods, but so can my best friend, so I don't blame them." She seemed to relize she was blabbering, and was silent for a few seconds. Then she seemed to think of something. "Hi! I don't know your name yet! I'm Key! Whats your name?" She asked, then noticed his gaze on the sky, "Are you looking for something? I could help!"

Jakuza rested his head on his fingers as he listened to the little serraptor. A warm smile creeped across his maw. She was so young. So full of energy. Small in size for now. Yet, unlike everyone else here, she wasn't afraid of him. His aura began giving off a pleasently warm feeling as he laughed just a bit in his throat.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Key. I am Jakuza." His clubbed tail curved to rest against his scaly hide. "As for what I seek, a Mr. Wilson. I wish to befriend one of the little birds." He carefully tapped the pouch of birdseed around his neck. "Yeah, he wants to befriend a Mr. Wilson then have him over for dinner, no less." "Mr. Wilson for dinner? Nah. Too small. A snack more like." THe battleheart tried his best to ignore the comments from the crowd.

"Mr. Wilson? Cool! I've heard of those! Some one in the meadow I live in, her name is Knight, said she's seen them, and would mind having one, but they like the plack ones best. THen again, she's obsessed with that color for some unknown reason..." She blabbered again, slowing to a stop. She soon continued, but she found that she had to take a breath occasionally. " Jakuza. Cool name. Do you live with any other animals? Tons live in the vally I'm from! I think Rapter said eighty something. He's really smart, and taught me alot, but sometimes I don't learn much from him, because he uses some really big words that he leared from Jinn. She's the other serraptor in the vally. Her name is Jintoku, but we call her Jinn."

"So..." Key said, "Lets look for some Mr. Wilsons! Some might be on the ground, looking for seed or something!"
She started looking around under the nearest shrubs and trees, and anywhere she could find that wasn't in plain sight. She didn't seem to care if it was likely they would be there or not, she just desided to look.
((Sorry for the duble post, but I needed to get five posts so I could go look for that new wild animal.))

((Sorry, my muse has been kinda dead. ^^;;))

JAkuza smiled warmly as he listened. Sure she may've been yammering on, but he didn't mind in the least. As she began to look around, he raised a calming hand. "Be still, young one. I would much rather lure one to me instead of sniffing one out." Reaching a tentative claw in the pouch, he pulled out a small handful of seeds and sprinkled them on the ground a few feet in front of him. Reaching behind his wing, he pulled out the instrument again and began strumming a peaceful tune. "It is more favorable to let them come to you, therefore they do not think you are trying to hurt or force them into something."

Key stood for a few minutes of silence, staring at the seed. Then she finaly took a breath, "Oh! Thats a good idea!" She said. She sat down by the seed to see if any of the birds would come.

Stopping his playing for a breif moment, the battleheart motioned to Key gently. "Come sit by me. The birds will not come if there is someone that close." Jakuza was glad none of the battlehearts he lived with were here. They'd have lost their temper with this little one, as they weren't exactly fond of younger pets. Jakuza enjoyed her company though. He began strumming the tune to Arigatou by Home-Made Kazuko.

Key looked over at him for a second, then walked closer. She looked up into the air, hoping one would come soon. She  was so eager to see one. That would be so cool! And then... She could be nice and kind, and unharsh, and unlike Rapter, so they would like her and she could befriend one! That would be fun.

Still strumming, he turned to Key and whispered quietly. "How many of these birds usually show up at a time?" His spiked tail carefully wrapped around her. Jakuza kept an eye on the seed, awaiting an adventurous arrival. "I will have to keep it with me at all times if one does come." he said, keeping his voice low. "Knowing Yazoo, he'd probably find it a delicious snack." Turning his head back to the sky, he searched out small wings and converse shoes.
