[Kitsumi]

Suddenly, Ella and Dmitri heard someone behind them. "Hey, kits...wanna come with me? I have candy for you." Both kits squealed happily. "Ooh, candy!" They began blindly following the man...

A small smile transformed Chance's facial expression. "You're right dad! Thanks." He snuggled next to his father happily.

[Kitsumi]

"Of course I'm right." Rin nudged Chance playfully. "After all, I am a college professor you know. That makes me a pretty smart guy." He looked around, and suddenly frowned. "Chance, where are your brother and sister?"

[Kitsumi]

Chance looked around worriedly. "I...I don't know daddy! Do you think they wandered off? They're probably nearby, right?"

Ella and Dmitri weren't nearby, though. By now, they were exiting the park, still following the guy. Ella paused. "Dmitri, maybe we shouldn't follow him," she whispered. "What if he's really one of those bad guys daddy always told us about?" Dmitri stopped suddenly. "Oh, no! We gotta go back!"

[Kitsumi]

"I hope so." Rin jumped up, still looking for his missing kits. "We need to find them. Chance, stick close to me, okay? I don't need all three of you to be missing." He started walking around, asking people about his kits. When he heard that someone had seen them following a man, he quickly became worried. "Hurry, Chance!" He said, breaking into a run. "We need to find them, now!"

[Kitsumi]

Chance mewed pitifully. "D-daddy...they're okay, right? Ella and Dmitri aren't in trouble are they?"

As the two kits turned to go back, they were stopped. The man stood in front of them, blocking their way. "Where do you think that you're going?" He grinned evilly at them. "You belong to me now."

[Kitsumi]

"I'm not sure." Rin shook his head, extremely worried. "I hope not. But if they were following someone...that's not very good." He continued running. He kept looking back to make sure that Chance was able to catch up with him. He was so worried that it was too late for his kits.

[Kitsumi]

Chance began to cry. "Ella! Dmitri!" He screamed their names, hoping that they would hear and call out. "Where are you guys? Please answer!"

"You have to let us go!" Ella cried. "Our dad will be looking for us," Dmitri added. "He'll kick your but if you don't leave us alone!"

[Kitsumi]

Hearing his son call their names, Rin started to join him. He screamed his kits names, trying to find them. Someone pointed them in the right direction, and Rin sped up. "Ella! Dmitri! Where are you?" He continued to yell for them. He felt like he might pass out. What if he was too late?

[Kitsumi]

"Ella? Dmitri? Please answer us!" Chance wouldn't stop screaming. "Where are you?"

Suddenly the two heard their names. The man tried to cover their mouths but he couldn't reach both of them. He covered Dmitri's mouth, but Ella began screaming. "Daddy! Help us! This guy wants to hurt us!"

[Kitsumi]

At the sound of Ella's voice, Rin ran faster. "Hold on, sweetheart! I'm coming! Just hold on!" He kept running towards where he had heard her voice. He would kick the butt of whoever was holding his children captive. That was for sure.

[Kitsumi]

Chase ran alongside his dad. He couldn't keep up exactly, but he was close. Fear for his siblings made him faster than he would usually be.

Dmitri bit his captor's hand, and then joined in the screaming. "Daddy, help us! Please, help us!"

[Kitsumi]

When Rin caught side of his kits, he hurried over. Seeing the man, he immediately launched himself at him. His claws dug deep into the man's face as Rin scratched repeatedly. He heard the man's screams, and he leapt away before the man could hit him. "You leave my kits alone!" Rin hissed, baring his teeth threateningly. "Next time, I won't let you get away."

[Kitsumi]

Ella and Dmitri launched themselves towards their father. "Daddy!" They purred as they cuddled next to him. "You saved us! Thank you daddy, thank you!"

Chance batted at his brother and sister. "You dummies!" He yelled at them, only half-joking. "What were you thinking? You were almost kit-napped!"

[Kitsumi]

Rin covered his kits with licks. "Oh, thank god you're okay. Did he hurt you? Ella, did he touch you? Dmitri...you're not hurt?" He glanced over at Chance. "Hush, son. I think they learned their lesson. Let's just be grateful that they're okay."

[Kitsumi]

Chance nodded. "You're right, daddy. I'm sorry. I'm glad you guys are okay." He cuddled with them, creating a big family cuddle.

Ella shook her head. "Nope! He didn't touch me at all! A was too quick for him, daddy." Dmitri rolled his eyes. "He only didn't touch you cause I was distracting him! So that you could call for dad!"
