"Oh, come one!" Iyler muttered in exasperation as he fell back. He needed one of those little birds to come around now. If only he hadn't waited do long to get this gift! He grabbed another piece of bread and took a bite.

Amarris suddenly remembered the basket she had brought with her. She mentaly smacked herself for forgetting about it. She opened up the basket and pulled out a loaf of bread. Amarris didn't know what Mr. Wilson's normaly ate, but bread seemed like a good guess.

Suddenly, an idea sprang up in Iyler's mind. He began picking pieces of bread off the loaf and tossing them around, some twice his length down the hill. "Maybe if the see the food before they see us, those little flappers will flutter close." He grinned slightly at the thought of finally capturing one of those little guys.

"Yeah, good idea!" Amarris said hopefully. She copied Iyler and began throwing chunks of bread down the hill. "Wait," she said pausing. She rumaged around in the basket, and pulled out a packet of seeds. "Do you think they like seeds?" she asked Iyler.

"Probably," Iyler ansered, eyes scanning the skies. "They're pidgeons. they probably eat what other birds eat: seeds, bread, that kind of stuff. I hope they come by soon."

"Yeah," Amarris sighed. Why did she always have to try to get a present at the last minute? Well, she would definetly start searching for a present a lot earlier next time.

(I know what you mean. I feel braindead myself.)

A glacial Matched lighted down on the hill, fiery plummage waving slightly in the breeze. It began pecking at the bread on the ground as if the food had been left just for it.

"Hey!" Iyler called, waving his paws to shoo off the bird. The avian gave a shrill chirr before fluttering away.

Amarris's tails lashed back and fourth angrily as she watched the Matched fly off. "Stupid bird," she muttered under her breath. The sky was slowly getting darker.  I'll have to go back to the pen soon, Amarris thought, and I probably won't have a Mr. Wilson either. Oh well, some things just coudn't be helped...

Iyler sighed. He hadn't even seen a Mr. Wilson all day. Usually someone would find at least one during the day. "I guess we should head home soon." He sounded reluctant to leave. Slowly, he closed the basket. "It's been nice meeting you."

((Would you like to breed Amarris with Iyler? He likes her.   )

"It's been nice meeting you too," Amarris said. She gathered the food she'd brought and dumped it into her basket. She gave one last glance at the sky, hoping to see a Mr. Wilson, but of course there wasn't one.

(Sure! Amarris likes Iyler too. ^.^ To breed, you have to post 25 times in the breeding center right? Or did they change it?)

"See ya," Iyler said, picking up his basket. Today hadn't got exactly as he had liked, but he'd made a new friend. An even trade off, don't you think?

((You just have to manage to grab a room first. There aren't any open rooms at the moment. After you get one, you have to post 25+ times to breed.))

"Bye," said Amarris. She grabbed her basket and started to walk down the hill. She hadn't found what she'd been looking for, but she could always come back another day. Anyway, she had found a friend. All in all, it had been a pretty good day.

(Okay, I guess we just have to wait for a room to open then.)
