Nothing so Simple [P: Citanul & I]

Postby Nyxia » 12/19/2013 12:11 PM

For once Anima found herself off the island without a thing to do, well actually she did have something to do but it wasn't an errand for Dr. Suhoiae. She was simply walking X'tir through the park, something she normally wouldn't have done considering how X'tir usually behaved. Today he seemed to be doing better than she expected, but he was still scratching at the collar she'd put on him that morning. "Stop that." She chided the little Lucross as he stopped about every fifth step to scratch at the offensive object with his hind leg. "It isn't going to hurt you, and yeah it might be annoying but it'll save me money." She told him, as his big blue eyes came up to look at her with what she thought might be annoyance.

X'tir continued to persist in demanding the collar be removed as they walked further into the park, gaining her quiet a few startled look from mothers and passers by as well as a few curious expression from children playing on the playground. Mainly they were staring at X'tir, since she for once wasn't decked out in her normally fashion. Though she imagined she was still a bit odd looking for someone walking a Lucross through the park. She could feel X'tir pulling at the leash, testing it's limits as they went. He even managed to grab hold of a park bench they passed, chewing ferociously at the wooden leg before she dislodged him with an apologetic look to the elderly couple sitting on the bench. "I...uh." that was about the furthest she made it in apologizing when X'tir seized the moment and broke the leash with a violent snap. As was it seemed customary he flung forward with surprising speed for some yet unknown destination, leaving Anima to run after him with a whole lot less grace in her boots.

The small Lucross had a target alright, that target was a metallic object with strings that made a strange sound. He crashed through the bushes and locked on to his target with a simple crunch, despite the fact that someone was holding said object and that it was still making sounds. Content with the sound and the metal in his mouth X'tir began to make a growling sound akin to a purr, his eyes closed in pleasure as he snorted and got a better grip on the metallic object. He then laid down chomping contently on this thing while listening for his master to catch up. That's what Anima was trying to do at least when she lost him in the bushes, "X'tir! X'tir, come back! Come here little X'tir!" She yelled as she wandered about in the bushes behind the swing set trying to keep the frustration from her voice as she called.

Bottles smashed, I raised my hand
How can you all even stand?
And why is there joy in this poison? Oh
Faking smiles and confidence
Driving miles to capture this excitement
I can't take anymore

You're never gonna get it
I'm a hazard to myself
I'll break it to you easy
This is hell, this is hell
You're looking and whispering
You think I'm someone else
This is hell, yes
I am in hell

The park was truly a wonderful place to be in during the shine of the day. Children were playing, parents laughing, couples walking hand-in-hand through the well-known paths. Who wouldn't love it here?

The man decked in neon blue-and-orange certainly did. He was perfectly content in watching the children play, listening to their happy chatter. Gods, did he miss his little adopted son, but the boy was grown, he knew that he needed to pursue his own life.

So, he had taken to strumming his guitar in the park. He got tips, and between those and the gigs at night it paid the bills, kept him fed. Lost in the music and watching some of the small ones in a sandbox he felt his guitar suddenly get heavy, then heard the sound of crunching metal.

Pulled from the reverie he blinked as he looked down to see the pale white Lucross happily maw-deep in his six-string. Hm. He looked sternly for a moment before chuckling. "So, does music tame this beast?" He asked as he continued to strum lightly, hearing the little beast almost purr. Odd way to listen to music. Could he hear it better this way? Vibrations -inside- his head may make the sound much more pleasing.

When the man spoke X'tir unexpectedly let go of the current object of his affection to look up at him with wide happy blue eyes. He wasn't the least bit afraid of the man, no matter how many people had thumped him away from whatever he chose to chew on X'tir approached everybody with the same innocent happy attitude. Opening his mouth the little Lucross made a thrill sort of sound followed by a grunt and a content cooing before beginning to dig violently at the bright blue collar around his neck with his hind leg again. His eyes puppy like eyes watching the man holding onto his chew toy with an innocent expression, he was hoping for either a scratch on the head or possibly a pet since that was how his master normally treated him. Closing one eye X'tir dug again furiously at the collar before snapping his jaw shut once more on the metal, this time a little higher than before and crunching happily as a couple of the strings twanged from the violence of his chomping.

Anima was still lost in the bushes, now checking under each one when she hear X'tir vocalize. "Oh no." She muttered already aware of the fact that he was likely destroying something. Quickly she followed the direction she'd heard the sound coming from, coming out of the bushes in time to see her Lucross snap his jaws down on the guitar. "Oh, X'tir no!" She yelled running the few steps and grabbing a hold of his collar. "Drop it, drop it X'tir." She tried to pull the bottom from his mouth and when she couldn't get it looked over to the man who owned the now wrecked guitar. "I am so sorry, I'll pay for the damage I promise." She told him with a worried look, hoping he wouldn't get too upset. She was about to resort to poking his side in order to get him to let go when she heard one of the strings snap. Oh was this going to end badly, she had that feeling again.

Gosh, how cute was this little thing? Itzal had never seen one before, but it must have an owner, being collared and leashed. Where might he get one? "Well, aren't you a good boy, hm?" He reached to rub the soft scales on his muzzle and adjust the collar, since it was twisted around the leash. "There we go." He didn't even mind that it had a hold on his guitar - it was a spare, after all.

As the woman came rushing through Itzal gave his best smile. "Why hello there ma'am. Is this little guy yours?" He looked back to the little dino, chuckling softly. "Oh, he just likes the music is all! It's not a big deal, this is a spare." As the string broke he gave the little thing another pet. "Don't do that though little guy, that could hurt you! Even your scales can't handle that big of a mess. What did you call him? X'tir?" He asked as he continued to gently stroke his muzzle.
