Almost large enough to be considered a theme park while remaining free to the public, Terrace Park is rumored to have been the site of the Grand Hollowheart's defeat, leading to the Hollowhearts first accepting a pact with humans. (+2 Fame, +2 Endurance)

"Come on, Sam!" the Slate Stargoyle urged the Ferrikoon, looking back and forth between her and behind them. "Lenjack won't be able to hold them back forever!"

"Hold your tongue, Fenloc," Sam hissed as she finished tightening a rope around a wooden cage. A rare specimen of Mr. Wilson was imprisoned in it. She secured it nicely in their wagon. "There, that should be everything," she said, internally breathing a sigh of relief; but their victory didn't last long.

A loud, ear-piercing screech echoed through the air, and Fenloc winced. "This freakin' Sygriff," he cursed under his breath, turning to Sam. "We gotta go now! Or else they'll catch us!"

Sam settled at the front of the wagon, and Fenloc settled down within the various specimens they'd caught today. He kept his eyes peeled for any movement in the sky, and meanwhile, Sam whipped the Penticorns into action.

As the two horses started galloping, Fenloc gritted his teeth.

A purple Sygriff emerged from a cluster of trees, and she was flying so fast that it was almost leaving a trail of color behind her. "Saaaaaaaaaaaaaam!" she screeched, hungry to get her claws on that blasted Ferrikoon poacher.

Fenloc stood on all four, ready to defend their loot. The rocky spikes on his hide extended, and he roared at the Sygriff. "I'll clip those wings of yours!" he threatened, but with no success; the Sygriff was hot on their tails. At least her little annoying lackey wasn't with her; Lenjack was probably distracting him a little ways in the back. It was two against one; maybe they had a chance to knock this stupid Sygriff down and make their escape.

(Geyser, Flora, and Pelagos. All three are anthro.)

Some days the super wolves didn't get any urgent calls for help, but that didn't mean they could sit idle. After a quiet morning without any reports of suspicious activity, thefts, or threats, Pelagos proposed that the team go to Terrace Park to clean up litter, and Geyser and Flora gladly followed along. They spent a few hours simply wandering around the area, stuffing discarded tissues, cups, and cigarette butts into trash bags. By afternoon, their bags were just about full.

"Well, that's that," Geyser sighed, as they dumped the bags into the trash disposal bins by one of the picnic areas. "Shall we get going, then?"

But before they could move, Flora froze. She cocked her ears, and a frown appeared on her face. She prodded Geyser and Pelagos and pointed in the direction of the woods. "The trees," she whispered. "They're telling me there's bad people. Over there."

As if to confirm her words, a faint but angry sounding screech rang from somewhere in the distance. The wolves glanced at each other, wearing concerned expressions. "I think we should go take a look," Pelagos muttered. Without hesitation, they all dashed in the direction of the noise, unsure of what they'd find.

The Sygriff continued to get closer. No matter how much Sam whipped those Penticorns to go faster, they just couldn't outrun something as fast as the Sygriff. They really needed better steads for the cart.

Fenloc continued to hiss and roar at the Sygriff, and in-between, he tried to take her down. The rocky spikes on his hide started sticking out more prominently, and eventually, the Stargoyle started shooting small rocky bullets towards the Sygriff. While relatively fast, the Sygriff was faster; and she had seen this tactic before. With swift aerial moves, she avoided the rocks without losing all that much speed or distance between her and the runaway cart.

Fenloc became even more aggravated the more he missed that pest of a Sygriff. It only got worse when she retaliated; putting her goggles on, the Sygriff picked up speed and started flapping her wings towards the cart, sending powerful gusts right towards it. It wasn't enough to send it careening off the trail, but it was strong enough to make it slow down as the Penticorns struggled to gallop and the materials rocked back and forth.

Fenloc narrowed his eyes, but at that moment, an opportunity appeared. With the Sygriff blowing winds towards them, she was busy doing just that. If he pelleted her now with rocks, her odds of avoiding her were a lot smaller than before. With another loud roar, he threw as many as he could towards the Sygriff: with success.

She gasped when she saw the pellets heading her way; she stopped flapping her wings and started flying again to avoid the projectiles. Unfortunately, some managed to hit her, and right where it mattered. She screeched upon being hit, and to her, it all happened in a matter of seconds. She felt pain to her body; head, wings, arms, legs, everywhere; and next thing she knew, she was down on the ground. Her head was ringing, but besides that, she could hear the galloping Penticorns and a scornful laugh from the Stargoyle.

While she got back up almost immediately, it was obvious that she'd been hit hard. She stumbled a bit, and she looked just a little confused as she got up. "Sam!" she screamed towards the general direction of the wagon. "You're not getting away with this!"

She spread her wings to take flight again; and she screamed again, her body tensing up from a sharp pain in one of her wings. "Oh no..." she gasped, turning to look at her wing. "Oh no! No no no!" She tried again; one wing awkwardly tucked to her side, and the other trying to flap for two. It worked... for a few inches. Down she went again, falling flat on her stomach, haunches flying upwards before falling down on the ground, too.

It seemingly all happened in a flash; both for the parties involved, and for the three onlookers who'd come to see what was going on. In her daze, the Sygriff hadn't noticed them; but in her current state, she sure was difficult to miss.

As the super wolves ran, the enraged cries grew louder and louder. Along the way, they saw what looked like wheel tracks engraved into the dirt, as well as patches of grass that looked suspiciously trampled. They followed the trail and arrived just in time to see a Sygriff getting hit out of the sky by a shower of rocks. She (or at least, her cry of pain sounded female) dropped to the ground with an audible thud. Just ahead there was a wagon was rolling away at the speed of light, with what looked like a Stargoyle cackling at its rear.

The three wolves rushed to the Sygriff's side and kneeled. "Are you all right?" Pelagos asked, frowning. "What happened here?"

"We heard your screams," Geyser explained. "We tried to get here as fast as possible, but..."

He looked over at the escaping wagon, which was growing smaller in the distance. He narrowed his eyes; if they had been a bit quicker, perhaps they could have stopped the vehicle in its tracks.
