Almost large enough to be considered a theme park while remaining free to the public, Terrace Park is rumored to have been the site of the Grand Hollowheart's defeat, leading to the Hollowhearts first accepting a pact with humans. (+2 Fame, +2 Endurance)

Return to Terrace Park

.:A Mysterious Thing...:.

Postby .:Random Event:. » 09/05/2007 1:22 AM

(This Rp isn't quite an rp, though you'll still have to complete 5 posts to get out of Terrace Park...)

There's a man here, tall and lithe, a black exclamation point against the blue sky. His eyes shine despite the overhanging clouds that breeze on by, shine with an inner light that was not a result of the sun but some hidden inner fire,  a smothered soul within.

He looks at the sky, seeming not to notice anyone else around, leaning upon a metallic cane in one hand that makes small clicking noises every so often. A smile crosses his lips.

"Greed is only the first step..." he whispers to himself, then decides to walk away. Towards a small copse of tall, thick trees he walks. No one ever sees him reappear from them...

(It seems someone has left a bit of Keystones lying around! The first 5 trainers to post here, roleplaying of course, shall recieve a random amount of KS!)

Imperia

A dark figure watched, unseen, from the trees as person after person, creature after creature, passed it by without giving the slightest indication of having noticed being watched. The creature remain still and silent as the trees around it, seeming not to tire of its solemn sentinel as the day wore on. Some would say that it had fallen asleep, yet the faint glow of its bright scales in the shadows gave people the impression of slumber. It was indeed awake and aware of it surroundings though, for unexpectedly, a bright gaze turned to regard a pinprick in the distance, a dark figure against the aquamarine sky. The eyes remained riveted unblinkingly upon their subject as what resolved to be a man drew closer and closer, the faint clicking of a cane tapping out a steady, rhythmic pulse against the ground. Then, he was gone as quickly as he came, leaving only the Hollowheart watching in his wake and several glittering black stones upon the ground. After many minutes, when no one had yet approached the strange objects, the draconic red and silver leviathan slowly uncoiled herself from her seated vigil, pausing only to stretch imperceptibly, then meanderingly made her way out of the shade into the sun. It was not rare to find a Hollowheart in these areas, for trainers often brought there pets here for walks or recreation. This femme though, was alone. It was not conspicuous enough though, to draw unwanted attention as Imperia made her way unhurriedly to the polished black stones. As her shadow fell over the glittering rocks, faint blue pulses seemed to emanate from their gleaming surfaces. A small flicker of recognition flashed through the Hollowheart's gaze, and extending a foreleg delicately, scooped up several of the stones, but leaving a generous amount for whoever happened to chance upon them next.

Hydeous

Terrace Park. A place where getting noticed required unusual skills and determination, Hydeous mused as he walked down the small road of pebbles, for now seperated from the rest of the group he had appeared with. When so many creatures and of so different kinds were enjoying the sun in the park, then nobody, less they made an efort, would take notice of any oddities among the crowd.
A perfect place for training magic, really. By the thought of this, his twin-tails of differing colour twitched lightly. Due to the area he lived in, with creatures that did not feel too much at home with this skill, it was almost impossible to practise unless Josie took him outside of their home. She had done that often enough, but recently obtaining a strange Malice Wyrm had made her stay at home more often. He had been too occupied with Snazzy to feel anything negative towards this, but now the kits were grown...

Being so busy with his own thoughts, the Calamikuhna nearly walked into a man, clothed in black, when he crossed a path of grass.
"Sorry...!"he uttered, as he steered pass the man, but was sure he had brushed his fur against the other by moving so close to him. It seemed that the man did not notice the Calamikuhna though, he continued on his way to whereever he was going. Had it not been for something unreal, like a fire, in the eyes of the man, then Hydeous would have been on his way to meet Sheiro and Josie...But the determinition of this guy surprised Hydeous and he curiously kept an eye on him, wondering where he was heading. For a while the Kuhna just watched and he frowned when he realized that the being would likely not return anytime soon.

Shortly after another scene of interest ocurred; a Hollowheart stirred from its sleep.. supposed sleep and moved onto a place in the park. From there the Kuhna paid no more attention and continued to be on his way. However, he was going in the same direction and soon he came upon the same collection of Keystones as the Hollowheart had. He cast a glance in the different directions to see if anyone might give the look as if searching for something. But the amount of stones, gleaming in the light, had to be placed there for some strange reason. He lifted one of four paws from the ground, took a small amount with him and was soon back to one of the benches in the park...

The dreary feline hadn't made an appearance for some amount of time now, having stayed home after her adventures with a hallow matches name Mixuy. She did seem at least a bit more cheerful back then, when she had a 'friend' of sorts. Now all that was left for her though were the tiny angst balls, floating about her and seeming to actually some from her tattered pelt. There were two more creatures within the area, but not ones that she wished to concern herself with. On happened to be a Hollowheart, a creature of great might that she and her feathered friend had wished to stay away from. The other was a feline... but not like herself. No, this was a kuhna, one of the pride and joys of the lands of evelon just because they could breed.

Konmei shook herself off, a few more angst balls coming out of hidding from her pelt. She would have continued to walk right by, but her foot came to rest ontop of a small rock... no! It was a pile of Keystones! She didn't mind taking advantage of another's mistakes. Infact, she liked taking advantage of others. The chaos draculi was in no way one to stick around others, except for the few that managed to befriend her. "I should be able to get a few rather nice things with these." she spoke to herself before grabbing as many as she could carry and walking off a few feet.

Malibu had come to the park in search of some lovely buttercups to put around the entrance to their cave. She was searching for signs of glimmers, golden colors that would match her and also liven up the entrance to her home, when she saw something else. There was a shine to the side, and she made her way over, picking up the odd little colored rocks with the rune symbol on them. Now what in the world? She had a small leather pouch on a cord around her neck, and she carefully started to slip them in, looking around as she did so. The stuff looked familiar, and once she wasn't so focused on flowers, she'd remember just what the stones were used for. Yeah, she was sort of focused like that. She could smell the faint traces of a human, and hmm, a hollowheart and a few others, and she glanced towards the Matches that she could see flying away. Maybe they'd come back for more? When she was done filling her pouch she moved off to the side, pausing to stare at some yellow dandylions. hmm. Those would work...

The draculi had no clue as to why she came here. After all, such a bright and happy place was no spot for her to be. She began looking about for some place a bit more... dreary to say the least. She wasn't keeping her hopes up though.

Glancing down, the Imperial Hollowheart caught sight of a Draculi peering around nearby her claws. "So, what brings one such as you to these parts at this time?" Imperia asked, her silver eyes indifferent as she glanced down at the feline.

Joy.. Just the being that she wished to stay away from happened to be the one that came forth to see her. Compared to this dragon of sorts, she was little more then a bug. "I am just passing through on my way to other places.. This place doesn't exactly suite me, so I will soon be on my way."

Glancing down, unfazed by the cat-like creature's less-than-friendly attitude, she nodded her agreement with the answer. "This is true for myself as well..." She stopped here to glance about her at the various trainers with leashed pets, walking through the park. A small flicker of disdain passed through her eyes as she regarded them, but she shook it off, looking back down at the Draculi.

"Yes... as you may have noticed I'm alone. No trainer to accompany me. I'd prefer to stay away from my 'home' as often as possible.." Konmei turned away from the gigantic beast and took a few steps away. "I wish you luck with whatever you are here for... I myself will find some other place to rest."

Imperia nodded vaguely in affirmative to the Draculi's reply. They were more alike than would have at first been expected, but that was not of consequence at the time. "Perhaps we shall meet again somewhere down the road," she commented lightly, politely bringing the conversation to an end.

Within moments the draculi was out of sight. She hadn't left persay, but instead she had just moved away from the crowded area. She was tired from her journies and needed rest, thus she crawled under a bush and curled up to sleep.

Watching the feline off, the Imperial Hollowheart soon followed suit, spreading vast, glimmering wings of silver and red, pausing a moment, a huge shadow against the cloudless sky, then, with a few powerful pulses, she was aloft, and within a minute, was merely a bright speck against the bright eye of the sun as she bore south and away.
