"Nothing's going to happen," Arae snarled defensively, ignoring the pet's laughter. "You'll see; everything will turn out okay." When all of the pets were gone, she glanced over at the Chernobyl and walked over to it. Muttering under her breath, she asked herself, "Great... Now how am I supposed to take care of a kid?"

"You brought that on yourself," Aydan said, rolling her eyes. The Yonyuu glanced over at Lust, then said sarcastically, "Yup, glad to see the whole posse is back."

"Shut up, Aydan. Don't worry, I'll help with the Chernobyl," Shard said, though he almost regretted the words. Even though he thought that the idea of raising it would be bad, he still was glad that everyone was safe.

Lust flicked his tail side to side.  He smiled.  A carpetfang came up beside him. Lust nodded, and the carpetfang went up to Envy, and dragged him out.

"Well, you'll learn from experience right?" He said to Arae.  "Maybe one day you'll have your own."  He smiled, and left, but stopping at the entrance to look back at the group.  The chernobyl was reaching up to Arae like a little baby. How long ago was it he saw something like this?  Ah yes.  It was the same with him too.  After he left, all that was left were Shard, and his companions, and Templeheart, Squirt, and the other two.

The chernobyl squeaked happily, and reached out to hug Arae.  It smiled a happy smile.

Arae didn't say anything to Lust, but looked down at the Chernobyl. When it reached out to hug her, she reluctantly hugged it back. She wasn't really into these type of mushy scenes, but she felt that it would be okay to hug it once.

Shard smiled as he saw this, and the Werecain glanced over happily at Aydan.

Everyone seemed to be happy, well, except for Aydan, who was frowning at all of them. She still couldn't believe that they had to take the Chernobyl home with them.

A human stood at the entrance, looking as Arae hugged the little chernobyl.  He smiled, and looked down at his feet into the eyes of a little Chombones.  The human reached down, picked it up, and gave the Chombones a hug.  The human took out a gold chain, and placed it around the Chombones neck.  Then he whispered something, and set the Chombones on the ground.

The little Chombones ambled up to Arae, and looked up at her. He dipped his head, and the chain fell to the floor in front of Arae.  Then he ambled back to his owner, and the final group left, leaving the pets in the temple alone with the silent night.

Arae immediately stopped hugging the Chernobyl when the Chombones walked up to her. What was this pet doing here, anyway? She stared at it curiously, watching it bow its head, then leave. When it had left, she only stared at the chain that it had left on the ground. Was she supposed to take it? Well, she assumed that she was supposed to; since, after all, the Chombones obviously dropped it on purpose. Plus, who would just randomly leave it there? After a moment, she made her decision and picked it up.

Shard sighed from behind her. "It's late," He said quietly, noticing how dark the temple was. "We should get outside, unless you guys want to stay in here."

Aydan made a face, "Ugh, stay in here? Yeah, right. I'll meet you guys outside." Without a backward glance, she quickly left the temple and flew off into the night.

Arae glanced over at the Chernobyl, then slowly walked out of the temple, checking every few minutes to make sure that the Chernobyl was following her.

Shard was the last to leave. Before stepping out of the temple, he glanced over his shoulder, taking one last look at the temple.
