The creature stalked out of the bush, bell hanging off of it's mask-like face tinkling lightly. Bastet's ears shot forward, and she turned, leaning down quietly to get a better look. Savage, or Experiment 81, as the Evergreen was called, looked directly back up at her with his cold, unblinking eyes. He clenched his green furry fists, seeming to glare from his pupil-less white eyes. Bastet gulped, twitching her tail.
"H-hello?" Savage blinked (or Bastet believed he did, it was hard to tell) and, finally, he
waved in greeting. Bastet gaped, feeling a smile grow on her face.
"Y-you understand me?" Savage nodded slowly, then faster, with what looked like a smile on his odd face. Bastet, feeling he wouldn't attack (and somewhat jolly, for an unknown reason), jumped out of the tree, landing before the Evergreen.
