Neopolitain and Eliot
Neopolitain struggles up the cragged edge of the volcano trying to pull herself onto the next ledge. She tries in earnest to rip her claws into the dirt, but it is too hard to cling on to. As she struggles she starts to slip and would have fallen if her son hadn't bumped her up onto the ledge with his head. "Thanks Eliot, that was close." Eliot smiles back up at her "No problem mom, now help me up." Neopolitain reaches down and grabs the scruff of his neck to pull him up on the ledge with her. They both turn to look up at the continuous climb up the steep volcano side. "It seems we still have a way to go mom." "Oh don't be so negative. We're about half way there I'm sure." "You said that about a half hour ago." Neopolitain rolls her eyes. "Oh just hush and listen to your mother. We're going to keep going until we reach the top." Eliot watches his mother leap up onto the next available rock. He paws the ground nervously as he looks up towards the peak. Eliot hated heights more than anything else in the world, but he still went with his mother when she asked him to go so that he could keep her adventurous spirit in check and to try and spend some more quality time with her. Neopolitain jumps up on to the next ledge waiting for her son to catch up. She turns to look at him as he nervously jumps up to the ledge below her. She hoped that this fear of heights would pass soon she wanted him to become a great explorer like herself and to experience the world like she did.
