Dripp nodded. "You're welcome, Noris. Are you okay? No damage?" he asked. "Try flying, I'm not sure what that kind of fall can do to Shinzos. I want to see if you can fly, so I know and can take some notes on it." he said. He went to reach for his backpack, then realized he hadn't brought it with him. "Drat." he muttered, and snapped his fingers. He picked up a basalt rock and let a claw run over it. It took it easily, and he found he could write. "Okay, I'm ready." he said.

"What if he hurts himself again?" FireSun asked him, glaring. "Next time he could really damage something......and you want to take notes?" She shook, which meant she was about to explode. Her fur would turn to fire, and she would damage anything in her path. She was really angry that Dripp could be so rude!

Flame stopped smiling and shrank away from FireSun. Scared, she hid behind Dripp, her head peeking over his shoulder. She was sure Noris was fine, but didn't dare say anthing. She was a good, fast flier and loved to play, but she wasn't used to solving arguments, especially when the situation was so dangerous. "Dripp?" she whimpered. She didn't want to get hurt but she didn't want to leave either.

Noris shifted uncomfortably as he became the topic of discussion.  "Um."  He tried to force his way between FireSun and Dripp; he didn't want anybody to start fighting, especially over him.  "If I may say something?"

Dripp just stared placidly at her. "So, you would rather have him sit here, and then at the end of the meeting WALK back home?" he asked. He tried to keep his temper back; he was known to explode sometimes. "If we don't see if he can fly, we'll never learn. Pain will always happen in your life, there is no point in avoiding it. Now, if you'll excuse me, you've scared one of our friends." he said, and turned and patted Flame on the shoulder. "It's okay, it's alright. There there." he said. Suddenly, another Candel Shinzo was flying through the air towards them. She was a bit slimmer than most Shinzos, but she was just as graceful and pretty. She landed quietly and rushed over to the 4 Candle Shinzos. "Which one of you is Dripp, eh?" she asked. Dripp stepped forward. "I am. Who, may I ask, is asking?" he asked. The female Shinzo curtseyed. "I'm Spark, don't cha know, I'm new at First Snow Plains Zoo. I heard another of their Candle Shinzos came here, so I decided to meet him." she said. She walked forward and shook his paw. "Very nice to meet you, Spark." he said.

FireSun relaxed when she saw Flame's scared face. "Oh, I'm sorry." she said. She stepped towards Flame, tears in her eye. "That always happens, I can't control it." She turned to Dripp. "I didn't mean to lose my temper." This did always happen, and she was sometimes a danger to others. She bowed her self, tiny acid droplets falling as tears.

Flame nodded, standing up awkwardly. She went over to FireSun and pressed her side against her as she began to cry. Doing that, she looked over at Dripp and the new arrival, her wing-like ears raised curiously. She wanted to see how they would react with each other.

[Terri]

Noris' head snapped in so many directions at once he thought it would explode.  Fly, Noris, fly!  Lok, Noris, a fight!  Oh no, Noris, somone's crying!  Noris, look, a new person!  Oh, Noris, over there, she's still crying!  He was certainly confused by this meeting.

He decided to sort out his thoughts one by one.  He shot a sympathetic glance at FireSun, then turned his attention to Spark, nodding an enthusiastic greeting.  He kept his mouth shut, though; best to let the others do the talking for a while.  Wouldn't want to confuse himself even more.

FireSun smiled weakly. "Thank you Flame." she said weakly. She wiped away her tears and turned to Spark. "Oh, hello there!" she said, smiling. "I'm FireSun." She extended a paw. "It's a pleasure to meet you!" She nodded at Noris, for his sympathy, and glared at Dripp. He had stillnot been forgiven.

Dripp let her glare pass through him. He was too distracted by Spark. She was a pretty one, her winged ears a bit longer than most, her eyes a brighter orange than most. Her coal gray skin sparkled in the magma's light, and her figure dainty yet strongly built. Spark smiled and blushed. She noticed him staring at her.
Dripp suddenly noticed that she noticed and shook his head to clear it and looked at Noris. "Noris, do you think you could fly?" he asked. Suddenly a volcanic rock whistled above their heads. Spark immeadiatley jumped into the air. "Ooh, that one's mine!" she said, and caught it in the air. She let herself drop, her feet keeping her steady as she hit the ground. She took a bite of it and smiled. "Mmmm... nothing like fresh lave rock." she said. Suddenly more were flying past them. A volcano was shooting them into the air. They were a nice treat for Candle Shinzos.

Flame broke her gaze from Dripp and...Spark...to look up at the rocks flying by. She shot up and caught one in her mouth, a front paw and a hind paw, faster than anyone would expect of her. She flew down and hovered just above the others. She offered the one in her hind paw to Noris, and the one in her front paw to FireSun. Then, as one whipped by her head she flipped over and caught it. Flipping back, she offered it to Dripp. Finally, she landed and started to eat hers, smiling.

Noris gaze turned to the sky as Dripp asked him to fly.  "I suppose I could try," he said, and launched himself unsteadily into the air.  He was promptly whumped on the head by an airborne piece of rock.  He was out cold before his body hit the ground.

Ouch, that had been a hard hit.  Poor thing would be feeling that lump for a long time to come.

Dripp accepted the lava rock from Flame, and just as he was about to take a nice chomp, Noris hit the ground. Dripp raced over to him, gently cradling his head. "Noris, Noris, can you hear me?!" he shouted. The whizzing and whistling of the flying rocks made it hard to hear. Spark, who was aspiring to be a doctor, flew down to Noris and gently fingered the bump on his head. "He'll be fine. Just a bump on the head. He should come to in an hour or so." she said. She looked at Dripp, who was still cradling the small Shinzo's head. Dripp was feeling guilty. Why did that other Shinzo have to be right?

FireSun gasped when Noris fell. "What did I tell you?" she asked Dripp. She ran to his side. "Oh no." she gasped. She rubbed his head, and sighed. "Spark's right. He's got a bump, but I had treat it." She pulled out a fire pack from her bag and put it on his head. "Hopefully, it won't swell."

Flame stopped eating her treat, and joined the others around Noris. She just stood there and watched, she had no idea what she should do. With a sigh, she shot up into the air again and caught a few more rocks that were whipping by. She caught one more for herself, along with three others. She landed, taking care not to send ashy gusts of wind towards Noris. Then she offered the extra treats to Dripp and FireSun. She figured it would only be fair if she gave the last to Noris when he came to since he seemed to be having trouble flying without rocks hitting him. At least to her. Besides, it was sort of difficult, when she slowed down to the average speed...
