Nori was wandering around.  Another day, another fight.  She knew that it wasn't good to fight, and if Arya knew, there would be trouble, but it couldn't be helped.  Nori couldn't go without fighting and neither could the others who she would fight.  It was almost like a life style to them.  Today she was to meet another person from the falls here, but they still hadn't shown up.  "Yeesh, it really ticks me off when opponents are late.  I wonder who they are though."  Nori mumbled to herself.  She finally decided to just sit down and wait for the late show to arrive.

[Elektra]

"Oh crap, oh crap I'm late!  I have to get there before she gets to impatient." thought the Tali as he ran toward the makeshift fighting circle.  Rush was there because the Tali Pack at the falls were quite annoyed with the Rollabies, but one in particular.  Nori.  She would sneak into there territory in the dead silence of the night, and steal anything that she could get her hands on.  But the worst part was the fact that she would go off the next day and prance around with the stuff she took the night before!  After she stole the one thing that was most dearest to the pack, they decided it was time to do something about it.  So Ryoku picked the two best fighters and sent them both out to where Nori would fight.  Although as Rush was getting closer to Nori, his partner ran, which left him by himself.  "Well, who cares, she's only a dumb Rollaby, how tough can she be?"  Rush said as he came to the spot where she was.  But soon he realized how wrong he was.

"Man, has this guy ever heard of stealth?"  Nori said to herself.  She could hear her opponent before she even see him.  When it finally emerged from behind a small bolder, she realized that her opponent was Rush, one of those Tali's that were always blaming her for taking their stuff.  "Well, sure, I take their stuff, but they don't have to get all hyped up about it and send someone to fight me.  Much less a wimp to fight me.  I mean, what are they thinking?  That Rush of all people might stand even a slim chance against me?  Well, big mistake on their part."  Before Rush could even think about what was happening Nori was on top of him, pinning Rush down, getting ready to slash at one of his vital spots when she found that she couldn't do it.  There was a look in Rush's eyes, like he was scared, but more than scared.  Something that words couldn't describe well enough.  There was a look of fear, but a fear of death.  "I..I can't do it?  What they heck is wrong with me?"  Nori had never shown mercy, she had never know it.  To her if it meant her own survival, it was worth disposing of her opponent, but here it was different.  Nori didn't know what to do, so she ran, farther and farther, hoping to make sure that Rush couldn't follow her.  Just her and some other opponent knowing, someone who didn't know anyone who would care about this would have been ok, but Rush knowing it was shameful.  Surely he would tell all the other Talis, and her reputation would be over. "Gosh, what have I gotten myself into this time?"  She thought.

Rush had no idea what was happening.  One second he was walking toward Nori, but the next she was on top of him.  He now knew that if Nori had wanted to she could have killed him, but she didn't.  She jumped off of him and rolled away.  "Wait, Nori!"  Rush called out.  Something inside of him told him that he should go after her, but at the same time, he was actually quite scared to go after Nori.  She was ruthless on a regular basess, but now that she had been humiliated, she might go beyond her limits.  "It doesn't matter.  I have to make sure she 's ok.  Besides, maybe if I make friends with her she'll stop stealing all of our stuff" Rush highly doubted what he was telling himself, but he figured it was worth a try, beacause unlike all the other Tali's in his clan, he had feelings for other people.  Not like in a relationship way, but in a friend way, even if the people weren't always friends.

Nori turned against her instincts and stopped when she heard Rush call after her.  She morphed and walked back, turning her face which was smeared with tears, away from Rush.  "What do you want now?  Haven't you already seen enough to humiliate me!  Get out of here and just go tell all your friends about how Nori the Rollaby couldn't fight little Rush.  So what?  I don't care anymore."  Nori said with so much venom in her voice that it suprised even her.  Rush flinched at her words, but Nori then said, "No, look, I'm..I'm..I'm sorry!  I didn't mean it like that, ok?  So what do you want?" Nori had grown up alone until she met the Rollabies at the falls, but even then she still felt out of place with them.  She wanted to have real friends, but most people were always to get to know her better.  "Hey Rush.  Instead of fighting, would you like to take a little exploration trip with me?  I know I'm the last person that you would want to do this with, but still." Nori didn't know why sh ewas saying this, but she'd had an empty feeling inside of her ever since her mom was taken away, and decided that a friend wouldn't hurt her.  "So would you like to?"

Rush was a bit taken back by Nori's offer to him, but he for some reason wanted to her up on it.  "Ok, sure.  I would like to go, but you promise you won't try to kill me?" he said jokingly.  Rush wasn't sure if that was best to say, but he relaxed when Nori smiled.  "So what are we going to do?  I can't go diving into lava like you, so we might have to find a different activity that won't burn me to a crisp."  Rush was actually quite excited to get to be with Nori.  Maybe being with her would help her come out of that hardened shell and stop being a thief and start being a friend.  "It might be hard,"  thought Rush, "but I'll try it anyway."

[Elektra]

"Hehe, watch it hot shot.  Anyway, let's just head out to one of the peaks.  I used to live here, but then I found the falls.  Before that though, there was this beautiful peak that you could see everything around the volcano from, so I made a little home there.  I never really took it down when I left, so it should be.  The real question is if anyone else is living there.  I mean, I don't want to cause trouble,"  and with that statement she got a weird look from Rush, "but I'm hoping that no one even found it in the first place."  Nori noticed that for once she wasn't holding back her feelings, and the feeling of being with a friend was so alien that she walked on for a while in silence.

"Nori not wanting to cause trouble?  That's a new one.  Rush thought to himself.  It was getting darker and he began to wonder what the other Talis would think if he didn't return to the falls soon.  Although truthfully, Rush didn't want to leave.  The more time he spent with Nori, the more he seemed to know her.  She could seem like a heartless person, but she was more on the inside.  The others wouldn't believe him, but Nori had a heart, she had feelings, she just didn't know how to show them.  "Hey Nori, how did you come ot live at the falls anyway?"  Rush wanted to get her to talk again, to understand her more.  It seemed weird, but to Rush, Nori was another person who wanted to start out new, and he was going to help her do just that.

"Hey, come on, we're almost there."  Nori called out.  She couldn't wait to get to her old home, to see it again.  She hoped that they might get to stay there for the night if nobody else already was.  Nori trusted that Rush could catch up to her and sped up a bit.  Soon she found herself at the cave's entrance, the one that led to her peak, and walked in.  Everything was how she left it, although there wasn't much to be left at the time.  She was just turning around to head out of the cave when she heard something rustle.  "Hey, who's there?" Nori called into the cave.  Suddenly, something metallic popped out from under the stones.  Whatever it was ran up to her.  "Hey there?"  Nori said to it.  She bent down to brush off some of the dust and soot that had been covering it up and revealed a tiny little Velix!  "Heya!  It's Techo!"  he screeched happily.  The high pitched sound of his voice made Nori flinch, but she tried to ignore it and be somewhat nice.  "Hey there little guy.  Why are you here?"  Suddenly Nori recognized who he was.  "Hey, you're the velix at the falls.  How in the world did you get here?"  She asked.  But then something flicked on in her head.  Thalia must have known that Nori would be going out a ways from the falls and she sent Techo here.  "That girl is way to protective."  Nori chuckled to herself as she bent down to scratch the little guy's back.  "I wonder what Rush will think about him?"

[Elektra]

Rush though that he had heard a screech and took off in the direction that Nori had gone.  Soon he found her, but she wasn't alone.  There beside her was Thalia's Techo.  "Hey, so how did Techo get here?  Last time I checked, Zuel was working on him to fix that voice of his.  Is it fixed?"  Rush was answered with a string of annoyed high pitched sounds from the little robot, and then a laugh from Nori.  "Hey, no need to get mad, " he said to Techo, "I was just joking."  He walked past them both and onto the peak.  It was almost night time and the sky was lit with stars all over.  "Hey guys, come look at this."  he called.  Up in the sky there was a shooting star passing by.  "I hope that Nori and I can be friends." Rush wished as it flew by.

"Wow, it's shiny, I mean pretty."  Nori couldn't help getting drawn in by it's light, but Techo started pulling on her tail.  "Ok, ok, I hear you there.  Anyway, you really need to go Techo.  Thalia sent you here to make sure I'm ok, and I obviously am.  So I guess your work here is done."  And yet Nori couldn't just send him away.  "Ok, look.  You can stay for a little bit longer.  But you have to leave in a little bit, ok?"  Nori was getting quite boed with just wondering, so she decided to mess around a bit.  She ran up to Rush and yelled, "Tag!" as she rolled away, hoping for  Rush to catch on and chase her.

[Elektra]

"Hey!  No fair, I didn't get a warning!"  Rush yelled after her.  "Come on Techo, let's go." He took off and chased after Nori before calling out to her that he gave up.  Rush was out of breath when the duo finally stopped and had to sit down for a few minutes.  "Hey, so aren't some of your friends going to be wondering where you are by now?"  Rush knew that his few friends would be wondering where he was, or even if he was alive in the first place.  "Hey, shouldn't we be thinking of getting back?"  he said, but then he thought of what he was going to say to the rest of the pack once he got back.  "On second thought, how about we stay for a bit longer?"

"Nah, probably not.  I mean, nobody really cares.  I really tend to stick to myself.  There are people who care, but they also know that I'm capable of taking care of myself, so yeah."  Nori wanted to say that the other few Rolababys were as good of friends as Rush and his friends.  "Hey, how about we leave now?  I need to go home, and it's probably best that you don't stay either.  You might fall in to on eof the lava pits, and I don't want to think about that."  And with that, she began walking away, with Rush and Techo trailing tiredly behind her.
