Flying upward with Dripp next to her, she heard a voice calling. "Noris!" she called, realizing who it was. She accidentally lost a bit of light, but the sudden darkness scared her and she glowed again. She looked over to Dripp, gesturing up. "We should be able to find the ledge again. Noris is calling us, he's awake!" she said happily. Then she frowned. "You will have to respond. It'll waste my energy." she said. After all, with or without fear fueling it, the glow was tiring.

Dripp nodded. "Noris! We're over here! Stay where you are, just keep calling out!" he called to the shinzo, cupping his paws around his mouth to make sure he was heard. He thought he heard another voice calling for him, but maybe he was just imagining it. Flame didn't seem to have noticed anything, so he pretended he hadn't either. But it nagged at him. Who could it've been?

Spark watched in horror as FireSun sped away, then fell to ground. "FIRESUN!" she called, and flew towards her fallen friend. She checked her vital signs. What if she had become unconscious?

Noris blinked dumbly.  Suddenly they were all there, all his friends.  Every single one of them, rushing in his general direction.  He was too stunned to do anything but follow Dripp's instructions.  He merely sat there on the ledge, nursing his lumpy cranium, blinking and staring at the scene that was fast unfolding in front of him.  Wow, things moved fast when you were unconscious.

Noticing her friend FireSun fall, Flame gasped, which made her lose all of her light. Suddenly plunged into darkness, she screeched, lurching sideways. She couldn't see because of the light that used to come from her. Her eyes were not accustomed to the dark night. She was flying, but she couldn't tell where she was going or how fast. "HELP!" she screeched, hoping that she wouldn't hit a rock...or any of the others.

FireSun opened her eyes, her body being immobile. As she tried to fly, a sharp pain shot up her spine. Seeing Spark above her, she attempted reached out. "Spark...help me!" she whispered Any second now she would hit the ground and....gulp.

Spark lunged forward, grabbing FireSun. Even though her energy was failing her, she felt it being renewed by worry and stress. She hoiseted the shinzo onto her back, and managed to fly to a close ledge. "We'll be safe here. Now please, hold still." she begged.

Dripp realized that the voice he'd heard was FireSun. He looked over worriedly, but then realized that Spark had her taken care of. He sighed with releif, and flew towards Noris. Landing quietly on the ledge, he stepped forward and clasped Noris's paw. "Noris, I see you've woken up. Is your head okay?" Suddenly he heard Flame screech. "Stay here." he said, and tried to find his friend in the darkness. "Flame! Where are you?!"

FireSun saw Dripp fly down to help Flame. She breathed a sigh of relief, and felt herself dimming. Slowly, she fell in and out of consiousness. Her chest heaved and heaved, until she felt herself feel lighter. It was happening. She was dying. "Spark...I need to get help...NOW!" she whispered. Her body shook violently, and she twisted in uncomfortable positions.

Flame heard Dripp's voice directly to her right. Wait a minuite...if he's over there, then... she thought, then suddenly realizing where she was headed, attempted to stop in midair, turning sideways. No sooner than she turned, she felt her head brush against the rock of the volcano's side. Still terrified, she swung around, feeling along the volcano until she reached a small ledge, barely big enough to hold her. She landed on it, her strength gone. She called out, straining to make her voice loud enough to hear. "Dripp, I'm here! I'm tired, I can't go any farther!" she called. Remembering FireSun, she called out again, worried. "How's FireSun!?" she shouted.

Spark looked around. She was alone in the dark with no supplies. What could she do? "FireSun... FireSun... don't die, don't worry... we'll get you out... just don't die... don't die..." Spark cried, small tears forming at the edges of her pretty amber eyes.

Dripp found Flame and grabbed her in a small embrace, happy that she was okay and finding it the only way he could stay on the ledge too. "I think she's okay... Spark's watching her..." he looked around, trying to find them, but it was too dark to see and they were too far to hear. "I can't seem to locate them. But I'm sure she's fine... she has to be... right?" his question did not seem very reassuring. "The best thing we can do now is just wait for some of your strength to return, then get back to Noris."

FireSun sniffed silently, and closed her eyes. Then slowly, she let herself slip from Spark's grasp. She could tell Spark was tired, and she couldn't have two Shizno's suffering. Tears filled her eyes as she looked up at her old friend. "Good luck." she said. Then without any words, she plunged into darkness.

Silent tears fell from Spark's eyes, but her soul burned with an inner hatred for herself. How could she have let this happen? Now FireSun was unconscious, possibly dead, and she had just sat there, almost like she was waiting for her to die. But she didn't want her to die. Not after everything that had happened. She quickly composed herself, wiping away her useless tears. Nothing could bring FireSun back to consciousness other than herself. Spark sighed, and laid down to rest, curling up against FireSun. Maybe with her body heat combined with FireSun's will help her mind work better into bringing her back. Spark's eyes fluttered, then closed fully. Her breathing slowed, and she was asleep.

Flame's eyes were finally starting to get accustomed to the darkness, and her strength was returning. "I think I can fly now..." she said to Dripp. She was only strong enough to fly but couldn't light up like she had before. She was about to fly off the ledge when she realized that she was the only thing keeping Dripp on the ledge. So she just stood there, waiting for Dripp to fly away and guide her to where the others were. She HAD to see FireSun.

FireSun was unconsious yes, but her brain and heart were still functioning...for now. She breathed heavily, her heart slowing down each time. Yes, she could feel something weighing her down, and even though she tried to move she remained the same way. She heard little crying, as if in her dreams. I can't die now, no...I can't. she thought. Suddenly a Purity, she believed it was Symona, appeared in her mind. She had a soft voice, and she licked the top of her head. "Little one. You are not ready to join the stars. Your great love for Noris and your other friends beckons you. Please awake my dear." FireSun blinked and opened her eyes. "Hu...Huh..?"

Spark breathed a loud sigh of relief. "Oh thank the gods." she whispered, and embraced FireSun in a hug. "I thought you had left us..." she started to say, but shut her mouth. No need for thoughts. FireSun was there, and that was all that mattered. "Sit, rest. I want you to recover. Don't worry, everyone else is fine. Just STAY STILL." she said firmly.

Dripp smiled. "Okay, wait one second..." he said, and let go, slowly hovering away from the thin ledge. His ear-wings hummed quietly. "If you want to go see FireSun, you can. I'm gonna go help Noris down from the ledge and over to the rest of us." he said, and flew towards him. "Noris! Noris!" he called to the smaller Shinzo.

FireSun blinked. "Who are you?" she asked, pushing Spark away. Looking aroun, she gasped. "Where did you take me? Mother, father, help me!" she screamed. Uh oh. It was her disease. Memory loss had been well, a side affect.
