Kayle squawked desolately.
Gripping her doll tighter in her mouth, she shuffled along the edge of a cliff, nervously eying the rocks below.
Her poor little feathers were singed and she huffed laboriously in the heat.
The ash flew into her already watering eyes.
It wasn't the best situation for a Gyrraptor.
I thought exploring was supposed to be fun, she thought, aghast.
"Too hot!" she squawked to herself.
She looked around, trying to find a place to rest.

The poor wombear inched along the edge of the cliff wondering how and why he had decided to leave his safe warm home with Didi! "No, no, no, no, no, no. I-I can't be here. I, I can't!" He tried to close his eyes to try to see i fhe was dreaming this. Knit just wasn't adventurous, it wasn't his thing!

Then, a miracle happened. He saw someone else stranded! But, in his careless happiness one of the wombear's paw slipped. In a brief second the wombear lost balance and dangerously teetered over the edge. Thankfully, a claw was lodged in the rock and Knit didn't fall. That was it. No more looking anywhere BUT where his paws were going!

Something made a noise behind her.
Instantly Kaylee spun around to see what it was.
What a bad idea.
As she twirled, her leg hit a ledge jutting out from the rock.
Tumbling, she fell over, rolling down the steep rock face.
Thankfully, she had passed the river of molten rock quite a while back.
The cliff gently flattened to a flat expanse of long solidified volcanic rock.
Kaylee's mad tumble down the cliff ended with her head on the ground, mouth still clamped onto the Kree Doll, and her feet and tail feathers up in the air, like a banner.
Such antics weren't scarce in her life.
She quickly rightened herself, looking around for whatever had made that sound just a minute ago.
Then she spotted that little furry shape clinging onto the rock face.
Excited, she jumped up and down, waving her little arms around, trying to get its attention.
"Hello there!" she shouted.

The miserable Wombear didn't dare look when he heard the other tumble. He could lose his footing again and and adn... Oh he should have just stayed home! Knit shuddered nervously as he took another step. If he kept this pace it would take oh around an hour to reach the Gyrraptor?

Then she shouted to him. Knit jumped in suprise, but he thankfully came down on two firmly planted paws. God he hoped that she would shut up soon so he could just get along safely and find a hole to climb in to wait for DiDi to come get him like she always did.

Kaylee clucked her tongue in irritation when the Wombear didn't respond.
"Hello~" she called again and again.
Skipping along the rocks, she looked up at him from below.
She could see he was trembling.
Cocking her head, she clucked her tongue, trying to get his attention.
"What are you doing?" she asked when he jumped.

Oh no. The wombear shook and he desperately hugged the cave wall when she spoke to him again. He couldn't break his concentration, if he did he might let go and tumble and fall to his death! But, the gyrraptor didn't seem to care adn might not stop unless Knit replied. So, slowly and shakily he did.

"P-please don't s-speak. I m-might fall to m-my d-d-death. I-its scary u-up here." He stammered and Knit took one small step before flinching as if he were about to fall off.

"Fall to your death?" she asked, frowning.
She looked around, but couldn't see anything that could resemble death.
"I don't see any deaths around here," she said, cranking her head up to peer at the Wombear.
What is he scared of anyway? she thought in confusion.
Then she remembered how Moon had told her about people being afraid of things like heights, enclosed spaces, or the dark.
"Are you afraid of heights?" she asked curious.

Hadn't he asked her to keep quiet?! Knit shuddered, though this time it was mostly frustration. If she didn't stop talking, he would fall off and that would be the end! And oh no, he couldn't fall off. He didn't want to die! But, other things then frustration were at hand here. Knit inched another paw over, thankfully it didn't slip. Then he took two more slides. Closer, almost there...

Kaylee grumbled and turned around, looking across the small area of volcanic rock.
The little pebbles on the ground caught her interest and she waddled over to take a closer look.
Giggling like the little girl she was, she started to build a tower out of the rocks and arranged her doll at the top.
"Kree so tall!" she exclaimed in joy.
She continued to giggle and jump around.
Unfortunately, one of her flailing claws caught onto the tower she made and made it crash to the ground, making a miniature avalanche.
Kaylee scrambled into the rock pile and dragged her Kree Doll out, nervously glancing around, hoping her tower didn't cause anything bad to happen elsewhere.
Then she remembered the Wombear.
"Oops," she squeaked and turned around, hoping the little tremor didn't dislodge him.

Just a few more steps... A bead of sweat rolled down Knit's cheek as he tried to cling adn move at the same time. He was almost to a larger shelf where he didn't have to cling to teh wall to stay on the ledge... Then, then the mini tremor happened. Just by coincidence, Knit was transfering his claws from one piece of rock to the next at that same moment, and instantly was thrown off.

The poor wombear shrieked as his smal body was sent flying down to the hard rock. Oh dear. He would be smashed into a pancake if someone didn't help him!

Shrieking entered Kaylee's sensitive ears, and she winced, still trying to locate the Wombear with her eyes.
Oh, there he was, rolling down the cliff?!
Kaylee gulped and sprinted back to the steep rocks.
She placed her fluffy Kree Doll next to her and looked up, squinting, to catch the poor Wombear.
"Here! More to the left!" she yelled upwards, forgetting that the Wombear could have no possible way to control the direction he was falling.
So of course Kaylee missed, besides her little hands wouldn't be able to catch him anyway.
Luckily, the Kree Doll was positioned just right to catch a falling Wombear.
"Daaaiiiii," protested the Kree Doll as the Wombear landed on it.
It poofed up and sent the Wombear bouncing up, just a few feet.

Oh god no. Knit braced himself when the scatterbrained Gyrraptor told him to go to the LEFT! Seriously?! How stupid was she? But, Knit was too busy to notice, he was replaying his life in his mind's eye.

That is, until something soft and squishy was beneath him, hurling him back into the air. OH no, not again! Knit curled himself into a ball, before he landed with a soft klunk. "Uhhhhhr..." He moaned as he uncurled and moved slightly. There was definately a large bruise growing on Knit's back, and it didn't seem like it would only hurt for a little bit.

Kaylee winced as the Wombear fell to her right.
Of course he couldn't control where he was falling, how stupid of her.
She immediately bent over to peer at the poor furball.
"Eeeeeep," squeaked Kaylee as she nudged the Wombear's arm gently.
"A-are you o-okay?" she asked shakily as she hopped from one clawed foot to another, distressed.
"I'm so sorry... Very, very, sorry. Wake up pleeeaaaassssseeeeee?" she whined, nudging him again.
Kaylee turned to her Kree Doll and sighed, "I don't think he likes me."
"Daaaaiiiiii~" was its only response.

The wombear unfolded when the Gyrraptor poked him. No, he wasn't dead but he sure wished he was. That bruise was making him consider the fact of a broken back. He really should have stayed home in his nice soft hole with Didi... God how he missed that place.

And yes, she was right. Knit didn't like her at the moment. He was in pain, could barely move, and was scared to death of where he was.  "Uhr... I t-think I b-broke something.." His stutter was because he was frightened of what she would do next. Would she tell his bruise to heal itself? Or would she try to heal it? God no, please, please please don't try to heal it, he prayed once again rethinking coming here all together.

Kaylee looked at the Wombear miserably.
"Hurt?... Very, very sorry..." she mumbled.
She looked around, trying to find someone who would help her.
"Maybe Kree can make you feel better?" she asked tentatively.
With her little claws, she grabbed the Kree Doll and gently lifted the Wombear off from the hard ground and poked and prodded until the doll was a suitable shape to lie on, much like a bed.
"Daaiii~"
"Rest. I will go find water and food. Maybe that make you feel better."
Suddenly her tummy grumbled, and she added, "Lots of food."
