"Good girl, Zizi." Vera said as the Angriff Kirund brought the disc back to her. She scratched Zizi in between the horns and threw the disc again. The Kirund ran after the disc and caught it in her teeth.

Zizi brought the blue disc back to her master, tongue lolling out of her mouth. Vera patted her nose. "Go get it!" she said and threw the disc for the Kirund to chase. The fog kept the forest shaded from the summer sun and kept it cool. The quiet was a little scary but Vera wasn't scared with Zizi there.

Zizi was already panting when she brought the disc back. Veradis took a water bottle and poured a little in the Kirund's mouth. Zizi happily licked it up.

The Kirund jumped away and waited for her master to throw the disc. When Vera did Zizi jumped and caught it in the air. Her tail wagging madly, she brought it back to Vera and sat, waiting for it to be thrown again.

"Sorry, Zee. I think it's time for a break." Vera told the Kirund and sat down in the grass with her. Zizi nosed her master's hand to get Vera to pet her and succeeded. Vera scratched the Kirund while taking a drink from the bottle.

Zizi turned her head and barked as a squirrel jumped out from the bushes. The little creature quickly disappeared again, started. The Kirund continued to growl until Vera could calm her down.

Zizi laid down and put her head in Vera's lap, ears perked to listen for anything. Vera took an orange out of her bag and started to peel it. The eeriness of the forest put Zizi on edge. If something was coming she wouldn't be able to see it until it was right in the clearing and the fog distorted everything's scent.

Vera took out a treat and Zizi immediately lifted her head to retrieve it. "You have to speak first, Zizi. Speak." Zizi whined before barking loudly, sending nearby birds into the sky. "Good girl." Vera scratched Zizi in between her horns and the Kirund affectionately licked her master's hand.

"What should we do now, Zee." Vera asked and scratched the Kirund under her chin. Zizi just whined when Vera took her hand away and nudged her nose back under it. Veradis continued the scratch her. "maybe we should just go for a walk."

Zizi jumped up, tail wagging eagerly, and waited for Vera to do the same. She loved walks, very much, especially with Vera. "Calm down, Zee. And don't go running off anywhere." vera said as she started walking into the forest.

Vera kept her hand on Zizi as they walked. The Kirund kept pace with her master, gently licking her hand every now and then. The Kirund was barely a puppy and already huge, as big as a wolf. She still tried to be a lap dog, though. A very big lap dog that could probably break a chair if she tried to sit on one.

When Vera first got Zizi she could hold the Kirund in her arms no problem. That was impossible now. Vera finished peeling the orange and popped a slice into her mouth. Zizi got a piece too. The sun streamed through the trees and could be seen on the fog, like a flashlight on smoke almost.

Zizi barked as a bird burst out of a bush and flew up into the trees. She leaped after it and slashed but her claws went through air. For all she knew that bird could be trying to hurt Vera. "Calm down, Zee. It's all right." Vera gave the Kirund another treat.

The Kirund whined with unease as something moved in the bushes a little ways away. She leaped at the bush and a squirrel popped out and ran away. Zizi was close to chasing it and would have if Vera hadn't called her back. "A squirrel's not going to hurt me, Zee." she reassured the Kirund.

Vera took out a tennis ball and threw it as hard as she could into the forest and watched Zizi dart after it. She took a seat on a fallen tree as the Kirund came running back. Veradis threw the ball again and sighed, enjoying the serenity of the forest.
