Hally floated through the fog as she looked around for any light or sunshine. She smiled as the fog hit her face. I really like this place, she thought as she did a loop in the air. But I have to get home. She pushed herself over a log with her wings and continued on her way towards what she thought was south. She was thinking of how she could get out as she almost bumped into a twisted old tree. She jumped back and landed on her back in shock. "Oof," she grunted a little loudly as she hit the ground. I hope nobody heard that, she thought in dismay as she rubbed the back of her head with her long tail.

Persianas prowled on the ground silently as he tried to make his way out of the forest unnoticed. Nature had sent him out ot find Hally since she was supposed to be back by now. "Hally," he sighed. He was worried for her, even if he was dark... He opened his wings and flipped onto the top of a log to try and scope out where she was. He took a deep breath to shout for Hally, but he choked on that breath when he heard a grunt from nearby and saw a flash of orange through the thick fog. "Hally!" he exclaimed and darted over to her, relieved. "Are you okay?!"

Hally looked up in surprise. She then grinned. "Persianas!!" she exclaimed and tackled him. "I'm sorry I wasn't back!! I couldn't find a way out of this place..." she trailed off as she got off of him. "Oh, and sorry for tackling you," she smiled, embarrassed, as she rubbed the back of her head again. She then helped him up and started floating again. She did an in-place flip and took in the fog while deciding what they should do.

Persianas laughed as Hally tackled him. "Hey, kiddo," he said as he rolled and lay on his back, laughing. "Thanks, Hally," he said to her as she helped him up. She started flying again. Persianas watched her and laughed silently at her enthusiasm. He opened his wings and flew upwards to scope out any predators coming towards them. Then, feeling energized by the enthusiastic air around him, Persianas did a somersault in the air and chuckled. He felt like he was five again. It felt good to be free... he sighed and realized that he had to get home to Nature and Alice. They were waiting for him and Hally. Freedom has a price... Persianas quoted in his head as he sighed in dismay.

Hally was laughing and giggling as she heard Persianas sigh. She looked up at him in confusion and dismay. "What's wrong, Persianas?" she wondered to him as she flew over to him. She frowned when she saw the dismay on his face. "Do you wanna go home now?" she wondered.

Persianas looked up. Crap, I didn't want to worry Hally, he thought as he did a mental facepalm. He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes. "Nature is waiting for us, Hally," he sighed as he dropped the act. "I think we should go home now so we don't worry them." He looked at her in uncertainty. "Don't you think?" he questioned her to make sure he wouldn't upset her.

She smiled at the mention of her owner. Hally looked at Persianas and tilted her head. She smiled. "Yeah, Persianas! We can go home, now!" she said with a flip in the air and a laugh. "Lead the way!" she said, hiding her disappointment on the inside. She was happy and sad at the same time. Maybe Nature could take a vacation here with her sometime! She smiled at the thought and started humming the lullaby Nature sang to her when she had nightmares.

Persianas smiled and sighed in relief that he hadn't upset Hally as he opened his wings and laughed. "Okay, kiddo, here we go!" he exclaimed as he took off towards the canopy of the forest. He charged right at it, but strangely, it didn't even budge as he grunted and fell down 20 ft to the ground. He wheezed as his eyes fluttered. Nothing was broken in his main body, but the air was knocked out of him pretty good. He rolled slowly onto one side and scrambled up, one wing hanging at an odd angle. Crap, he thought.

Hally followed Persianas upward, but had to move quickly out of his way as he crashed to the ground. "Persianas!" Hally shrieked in fear as she dashed down quickly to him. "Persianas, are you okay?!" she gasped as he wheezed. He struggled up, and Hally saw that his wing was broken. "Oh, no!" she muttered as she circled him, checking for anymore wounds. She came back to his face. "Persianas..." Hally trailed off as tears filled her eyes.

Persianas winced at Hally's tears. "I'm okay, kiddo. We just need to get out of here on foot, I guess. Where did you come from?" hu suggested, trying to calm Hally down. He walked over to the log he climbed over and scrambled over it. "Letes go, kiddo," he said smiling a pained smile. He would be better once they got home so Nature could fix him up.

Hally sniffled and tried to be strong as she came over to Persianas. She hopped over the log and floated with him to the next log. Hally repeated climbing over walls with Persianas as The tried to find a way out of the forest. She finally stopped and sat down, panting. "Let's take a break, Persianas," she said as he came up by her.

Persianas looked at the Kitrell. "Of course, Hally," he said and he sat down next to her. He sighed and adjusted himself so that he lay in a position where his broken wing wasn't being pressured. He sighed and closed his eyes. Let us get home without another accident, he prayed as he swished his tail through the soft, damp dirt.

Hally looked around and then down at Persianas. He seemed okay, worried, but okay physically. Poor Persianas, Hally thought. This is all my fault... Hally felt tears coming again and she clossed her eyes and sniffled. She rubbed her eyes with her tail and sniffled again.

Persianas looked at Hally in shock. "Oh, don't cry, don't cry!" he wailed into the open air. He turned and saw a light. An exit! "Hally. look!" he shouted in excitement as he hopped up. He dashed toward it. "C'mon!"

Hally looked up and grinned. She flew after Persianas and laughed. "Yay!" she exclaimed as she burst into the afternoon sun. "Let's go home, Persianas," she said, and with that, the pair waddled toward home.
