xLavenderKisses:

For the Fellox, it seemed like nothing had happened. No pet or items were found, nor was any money. It seemed like the Fellox had been both unlucky and lucky. She'd found no treasure or friend, but she hadn't lost anything, either. Back home, no items were lost, no money was stolen, no pets mysteriously disappeared... So, in the end, the only prize was the adventure. No gain, no loss. Maybe it was for the best?

Twi tried peering through the tree trunks to see what happened to the Gyrraptor, but the mist obscured her view. There were no sounds either; the airborne creature's wingsbeats softened and disappeared, and even the terrifying monster's growling was gone too. It seemed like she was in an endless world of silence, trees, and fog. Puzzled, she spun around, trying to find anything familiar, something to indicate where the others were, but there was nothing. What was that? A wind blew the fog away and a pathway formed through the almost opaque air around her. Yelping with excitement, she rushed forwards before the fog could close in on her again, out of the damned forest and raced for home.

The wind seemed to settle in an unnaturally calm way, especially right after that chase... Kieta felt uneasiness pulse through her veins. Her heart pounded as she alighted onto a branch, watching with envy as Twi disappeared into a safe haven, free of harm from the Turkezilla. Even if she folded them along her sides, her wings would never fit through that mere crack that the Fellox had somehow contorted her body in such a way that she could find a way in. Sighing, the Yonyuu turned to look for Corey, who had since vanished into the foliage.

The silence was unnerving, to say the least. Surely the colossal bird wouldn't have just... left? Despite the fact that hope tugged desperately on her mind, she knew all too well that it was an ambush.

"Don't... move..." she whispered fearfully, searching the undergrowth for any sign of the beast. She could just barely see the Gyrraptor's dark frame amidst the swirling fog, yet the Turkezilla remained unseen. A shiver passed down her spine, and anxiety tingled in her system.

Two beady yellow eyes seemed to pierce the mists, and, for a moment, Kieta was speechless. There she was, inching closer and closer behind the pet, saliva dripping from her beak...

"Run! she screamed. The creature snarled in rage, her hunt disrupted by the winged one once again. Stupid little dog couldn't keep her mouth shut. The winged one would always warn the not-winged one when she could. If she could escape the winged one's gaze, she could pick off the not-winged one quite easily...

But now was not the time for plans; it was the time for action. Letting out a throaty caw, the Turkezilla roared, and began the chase once more.

Corey froze for a split second, before jumping forward and once again tried to get as much
distance between his hunter and him. He however was just a split second too slow. He was lucky, the Turkezilla
'just' rammed into him, not having the time to open her beak or get a hold on him. the Gyrraptor still was
literally flying through the air, before hitting the ground a few meters away in a very un-elegant fashion, gasping for air. He was not really hurt, but startled, and in serious trouble now. He threw a frantic look around, before stalking sideways like a crab, never leaving the Female out of his sight. The Turkezilla hissed in a low tone, ready to charge, and burst forward once again. Corey waited before she was really close to him, then
jumped over her, not without giving her back a sharp kick with his foot claws, and dashed towards the nearest tree. Mobilizing last forces, he jumped as high as he could, grabbed the log of the tree and began to climb.
Shurely, the massive turkezilla wouldnt be able to follow him up here? she was not captable of flight, and
he asked himself why on earth he did not do this earlier.

(fail. sorry for the wait)

Kieta lofted over to Corey's tree, trying to settle on the limb that jutted out over the forest. Her paw pads gave her no purchase on the wet bark, and her claws dug into the wood to prevent herself from tumbling downwards into the open mouth of the Turkezilla.

The female roared, eyeing the pair with contempt as she slowly circled the massive tree trunk, trying to decide her next move. They were just out of her reach...

"Careful," the Yonyuu said softly, trying to maintain her precarious position on the branch. "It's slippery." She glanced down to the giant bird, who was salivating, waiting for the pair to make a wrong move. Paws wrapped around the bark, the canine kept her body close to the tree.

Wham.

Leaves fluttered around, and Kieta looked to the ground with horror. The Turkezilla had slammed her side against the tree, which shuddered in the midst of her force. "She's trying to knock us down!" she squealed, practically hugging the trunk as the branch groaned under her weight. "Hold on!"

Wham.

Again, the aged wood let out a low moan as pressure built up in it's fibers. The avian had so much meat on her... she was strong, thickly built. Kieta closed her eyes, not daring to leave the Gyrraptor. True, she could flee, but the sky was blocked with branches and leaves. Tearing through it would require a great amount of effort. Plus, if she abandoned Corey, well... She wouldn't live with herself.

The claws of the Gyrraptor left little marks on the bark where he clung to, while the Turkezilla smashed
herself against the tree. He looked down at her with a mixture of fear and hate. Maybe the idea of climbing the Tree was not so smart after all? He got shaken through again, and clenched his teeth slightly. He had a surpisingly good grip on the tree, but judging by the loud moaning of the wood, it wouldnt surprise him if the Female managed to tear down the whole tree. He looked over at Kieta with a mixtrure of fear and desperate determination. He wouldnt end as a Turkezillas meal today...and neither would the Yonyuu. He flinched when the Turkezilla threw herself against the tree again, now roaring with anger. He almost slipped, but regained
his hold fastly. Looking arround, his eyes brightened up slightly. "we could try to escape by jumping from Tree to tree...well...I could" He smirked slightly. He was happy that she actually stuck to him. He wouldnt be angry if she took off without him either tho, he actually was surprised that she got herself in danger just to stick with a
stranger..."or do you think that its too far?" He nodded over to the nearest tree, wich looked a little thicker and more stable...maybe, if they managed to keep in the trees, the Turkezilla would grow tired?

[Arghdjghfdjgbg this is so obscenely late it's embarrassing. You can hate me. Real life just caught up and gahhhhh. I'm so, so, so sorry D: ]

Kieta smiled. "That's an idea..." That massive creature wouldn't be able to rip herself from gravity with all that muscle. Not even bothering to flap, the Yonyuu lofted over and alighted on the nearby branch, a few leaves fluttering to the ground upon her impact, despite it's daintiness. The Turkezilla looked up, clacking her beak angrily for a few moments, before returning to her initial target, the not-winged one. Her thickly built frame slammed against the wet trunk with the force of an explosion, sending twigs and sticks crumbling to the ground around her.

The pet turned once again back to Corey, waiting with baited breath for him to jump. The limb was a good leap, and, despite the fact that Gyrraptors were not exactly tree-dwellers, she hoped that his strong hind legs would catapult him just the right distance. "I can grab you if you don't make it," she called, although still unsure. Would she be able to support the unwieldy frame of the reptile?

Already, Kieta's eyes were picking out a route for them to follow. With only a few gaps in the path, it seemed easy enough... or, at least, easy enough to get away from the rampaging beast below.

(Okay, sorry, this will be horrible and short.
currently under major stress, and looking for a mini job next to university...)

Corey eyes followed Kietas slender frame when she lofted over to the next tree with slight envy.
Well, evolution wasnt too kind on him in this case...on the other hand, he could be worse he thought,
when he eyed the female Turkezilla. He waited for her to smash once again into the tree, before
tensing his muskles and jumping at the nearby branch. He actually almost jumped too far, slipping with one foot
over the bark, but managed to stay on the tree. "Whoa.." he hissed under his breath, obviously a little shaken up.
and he would have to do this several times? Suddently, he did not feel like this was a that grand idea like a few minutes before... "Lets go on then.." he said, eying the Turkezilla under them suspciously.

The Female watched the two creatures moving on to the next Tree with confusion and anger.
the other Tree was even thicker, and she growled slightly. With a big leap, she lunged at the tree,
and tried to klimb the slippery bark.

(gosh so bad...sorry...)
