"Well, there's that problem solved," Baron stated more or less to himself, brushing his hands together in the manner of one that's just taken care of something. "I do hope you're in a mood to be more helpful now, Asgard."

I am always prepared to be helpful, Baron, the Khimera replied in a decidedly computerized voice. As the effect of the binding spell wore off, Asgard rose to her feet stiffly and quickly scanned the scene before her. We are under attack, she stated bluntly.

"Indeed," the rabbit replied in a tone that was noticeably more cheerful than it should have been. "I'll leave the rest to you and the others, then." With that, he retreated back to Kai's side, as if just now noticing that there were dangerous robots walking in his direction. Granted, most of them appeared to be confused as to which target to pursue, but bullets were bullets, and he would prefer not to get shot.

I understand, replied the Khimera, more to herself than to Baron. After a few moments of deliberation, she launched herself at the nearest group of robots, deciding that clearing the way for Turret to attack Xenon would be the most efficient use of her abilities.

Now that the Khimera had been turned to their side and the robots were having trouble with choosing their targets, the Leader felt more confident that they would be able to fend off this intrusion. He continued on his path towards Kai, Ryuu, and Baron, swiping his bludgeon-like tail at any robots that happened to get in his way. A downed robot was better than an upright one, after all, and the Leader wanted to get himself between these metal menaces and the people he was defending before he began attacking in earnest.

Things had begun moving a bit too fast for poor Kai. Before he could explain to Ryuu who Baron was, the rabbit himself had shown up and taken matters into his own hands. Since there weren't quite as many robots approaching him (or rather, Ryuu) as there had been, the dragon felt minimally more at ease, but the fight was not yet over. Keeping his wings spread in defense, Kai half-turned to address Ryuu. What you is thinking we must be doing now? We is going back inside, or…?

The bullet that Xenon fired at Turret managed to graze her neck, and while it did draw a whimper and some blood, it did nothing to stop the Mekkayena's charge. Dispensing product, she announced as she opened fire, though the most any of the shots did was deflect off of the man's hidden armor before Turret herself landed on him. She began tearing at his clothes, trying to dislodge the metal plates so that she could do her job of dispatching him. It didn't look like the Mekkayena was paying any attention to anything else that was going on...

[Thunder]

Even Ryuu was disoriented by all the action. He was raised for battle, yes, but it had been quite a while since he had seen action of this intensity. He could tell, however, that Xenon was at the disadvantage here. Those robots would not be able to process everything, which was, in fact, one of the reasons why Xenon had created Ryuu in the first place. A perfect, powerful soldier who did not have the limited computing abilities of a robot.

"...it seems under control," he said to Kaibutsu, after taking one more look at the battle. Part of him wished to run over to Xenon and rip the scientist's throat out, but Turret had already launched herself at him, and the robots were definitely contained. Their metal plating ripped from Ayteev's sharp, tearing claws, while the Leader's tail made huge dents in them and even toppled some over, rendering them unable to get up due to their hefty weight. "...there is nothing...for me to do..." Ryuu concluded. He took a step back towards the door, though his fiery eyes were still set on Xenon.

The scientist, meanwhile, had fallen over after Turret tackled him. He glared at the her and snarled, trying to wrestle her off with his bare hands. His lab coat was getting torn to shreds, and he knew he would be finished if the Mekkayena managed to get his armor off. It was clear that he could not win here, dismayed as he was over the fact. There were simply too many creatures around protecting his damned creation. "Retreat!" he shouted at the robots, as he continued trying to pry Turret off. The robots that still had the capacity to move registered the command, and slowly turning around, they began walking towards Xenon. Some that had been sufficiently damaged only got there halfway before their ravaged bulks short-circuited, leaving them standing deathly still in the middle of the field.

Although the Mekkayena was doing her best to try to rip the armor off Xenon's body after he fell, the man's struggle to prevent her from doing so was proving to be rather successful. She snarled back at him, biting at his hands while she scratched at the armor in vain. Something odd happened when Xenon gave his robots the order to retreat, however. A sharp 'bzzt' followed by an electric crackle sounded from somewhere in Turret's ear, and the Mekkayena stepped off of him.

That didn't mean that the scientist's order to retreat was now unnecessary, however. The Khimera and Hunter were still valid threats, even if the Mekkayena wasn't. Warily the Leader watched as the robots began to move away from Kai and Ryuu, no longer attacking the metal constructs but still positioning himself between the two groups just in case the order was retracted. Asgard, however, was not so kind, finishing off any robot she could see that already bore her claw marks. She'd probably move on to Xenon when she was done, now that Turret was failing to fulfill her duties…

"That's not entirely true," Baron remarked after Ryuu stated that there was nothing for him to do. "I'll skip the painfully obvious examples, but you could go confront that man, if you had a mind to." Maneuvering past Kai and Ryuu to the door, he placed a hand on the knob before turning back to them. "I'll be here if you need me again." With that, he opened the door and stepped inside, leaving the others to whatever would happen. Kai simply remained standing in his guardian pose, his gaze going from  the door to Ryuu to Xenon and back again. If… If he is retreating, the dragon began, then maybe we is going back inside? You is still not being healed fully. He shifted uncomfortably, adding in a somewhat distressed voice, Unless you is really wishing to be going and confronting him. Considering Ryuu's state of health, that probably wasn't the best idea right now – even if the boy was a battling machine, who knew what other tricks the scientist had up his sleeves?

Xenon was relieved when the damned Mekkayena got off of him. His hand was bleeding all over from where she bit him, and his lab coat was ruined, but he was alive. He didn't know why the Mekkayena suddenly stopped attacking, but there was no time to stop and think. The scientist gritted his teeth and turned to run back into the forest, not waiting for his robots to catch up. He could always get new ones, after all.

Ryuu narrowed his eyes as he watched Xenon vanish behind the trees. He wished he could chase after Xenon and finish the scientist off, but Kai was right. He still wasn't completely healed, though the majority of the pain was now gone. It would be better to live and fight another day. He turned towards Kai and nodded. "...I'll go back in," he replied. Then he paused, blinking his strange, orange eyes. "...thanks for the help."

If the denizens of the House hadn't been here for him, Ryuu really did not know if he would have survived.
