Tovin watched the pair carefully as they slowly began to meld with the night sky and soon he could not see them at all. It would be better this way, he assured himself, to keep the female from becoming another victim of his father. But...he would need to make it look realistic. Raising a claw he raked them down his own arm and held the pained roar that wanted to follow. Crimson liquid began trickling from the wound as Tovin turned to return to the place he had last seen his father. It was a meager wound, one the youngster would heal from with little problems. But it was damaging enough for Quil to accept it as a true attack and a seemingly honest reason that Tovin had not recovered the Fairy from her savior. He would not want to lose the son he had spent so long training, after all...
