A mysterious area, explorers tend to go missing and never return. A low fog constantly blankets the forest floor and strange sounds have been reported being heard during the day. Not much else is known about the forest. (+3 Speed, +2 Endurance)

It was one of those days for the new "initiates" of the Root.  The three females had begun the trek to Tengel, drawn by something that they could not explain, when they had been intercepted by a strange-looking Frost Paragon who said that they were now within the territory of the Root and that they were most welcome there.  Confused, but sensing no deception from the Frost female, they followed her to what appeared to be a nest for a clan of Paragon--and certainly had enough Paragon running about to be considered a clan's nest.

When they had entered what appeared to be the nest for the clan, they had been greeted by a red Pipe Paragon and a greenish Primal Paragon--both of which confirmed what the oddly-colored Frost had said.  However, the red Pipe had not stayed around long enough to chat--no, she ran off to what appeared to be her den to tend to three eggs that layed within.

Now, however, the three Paragon were left largely to their own devices--the leaders of the clan, Katalmach and Kalach-cha, were nowhere to be found as of yet (doubtless they were waiting until all of the Paragon who needed to find alternate ways to cross the sea had done so).  So, why not go exploring?

"And you're certain that no one will mind us wandering away from the nest like this, even if there are so few of the ones from Tengel here now?" inquired the Rockbeak, whose purple and pink scales glistened in the glow that was case from the Pipe's fiery tail.  "I mean, surely we could at least introduce ourselves to those who were there, or... aid in expanding the nest to some degree!  From what the Primal said--"

"Yes, there are several Paragon yet to arrive from Tengel's rainforest, Ellandira, but you forget the fact that Rath'li mentioned," replied the Windgill, whose coloring would have blended with the forest near-perfectly were it not for the perpetual fog.  "There is a powerful Earth-elemental Ambia who will doubtless do most of the den-shaping.  Along with the Fairy Paragon here who has similar powers, I'm certain that the dens are in good hands."

"Additionally, the ones that the others referred to as 'leaders' said that we were free to acquaint ourselves with the forest that they have called home," responded the Pipe Paragon, whose fiery scales almost seemed to glow by themselves.  "You must remember, Ellandira, this is a time of transitioning for them--and the best thing we can do right now is wait for this Katalmach and Kalach-cha to arrive to find out where we would be of best use."
Maybe I'm foolish, maybe I'm blind
Thinking I can see through this to see what's behind
Got no way to prove it, so maybe I'm lying
Take a look in the mirror, what do you see
Can you see it clearer, or are you deceived in what you believe?
Don't ask my opinion, don't ask me to lie
Then beg for forgiveness for making you cry
'cause I'm no prophet or Messiah
You should go looking somewhere higher

I'm only human, I make mistakes
I'm only human, I do what I can
I'm only human, that's all it takes to put the blame on me

Don't put the blame on me
