There was a storm within the air and as Jasper moved through the trees he could feel it. He could sense it approaching and while he normally liked a good storm today he was hoping it would pass him by. He had a delicate package, one that if it got rained on would surely be ruined. There was no path within these parts of the misty woods, no easily marked trail that pointed to town. Behind him he could hear it, the soft whoosh of raindrops abruptly falling and hitting the tree tops. The louder plops as the rain worked it's way past the barrier of leaves and down into the ground below. Crap. Putting on an extra burst of speed he increased his pace as he charged through the trees, looking for any sort of hole to jump into that would protect his package. There. A darker shadow off to his left had him changing course. It wasn't until he'd lunged into the mouth of the cave and gone several steps that he slowed and stopped. Just in time; as the darkening skies brought a deep gloom to the light... creating a dark slightly darker than twilight. He waited, catching his breath and watching the walls of the cave. They seemed like good walls, with no sign of moisture appearing from the rain. Good enough. Carefully, he set his package down in a nook of the rock and then moved to the front of the cave, sitting and staring out at the gloom.
