This. This was verging on the most difficult part of the conversation. Depending on how Kichi reacted, it was life or death for the god. He had just began to have hope that he might continue on living. Would it be crushed so soon? Well, no matter what, he'd been preparing for his death all this time. No matter the answer, he would stand by the other man's decision.

"Well, you see," he began, but his gaze wasn't on Kichi. Instead, he'd leaned back supporting himself with both of his hands on the bed behind him, as he looked upward at nothing in particular. Right now, he couldn't bring himself to meet the other's gaze, and see his expression as he explained. "What I did to save you, it's a once in a life time thing. I can bring back one person from the verge of death, like you, in my entire life by sharing my blood. It's the same for the others like me. Normally, it's reserved for the one person that we cannot possibly bare to live without, if such a person exists." For lovers. "It makes you... special." Kichi was a special existence to Kazuo, one that the god could absolutely not live without.

If it had just been his once in a lifetime chance, that would have been all right. But there was more to it than that. "For, you see, the sort of thing that I am...I've come to be called a god, but, in order to survive, to thrive, I rely on others. Intimate physical contact with others, it creates the energy that allows me to sustain my existence. The more energy I have, the greater my powers are, but everything I do, even sitting here before you, uses up energy. If it runs out, I'll cease to exist."

He paused, briefly, taking a deep breath and exhaling loudly. It was both to brace himself, and to give Kichi a little time for his words to sink in before continuing.  "Usually, I could get energy for survival from almost anyone. But, once I've saved someone by sharing my blood, I can only receive energy from that person. From you. That's why you're special. Being away from you for too long... not being able to... have any contact with you, it's a death sentence." And the fact that Kichi was a child when Kazuo saved him, the god had to accept, from that moment, that he as going to die, that his energy would run out. He never thought he'd even make it this far.

On some level Kichi was horrified to learn that someone had done so much for him, especially considering that he wasn't very special in any other ways. Without thinking about it, Kichi reached over and put his hand over the other man's. On many different levels of magic it made perfect sense that something powerful would have a limit and this could happen, magic like nature had its own checks and balances. To think a god was subject to them was still a bit mind blowing, along with the fact that said god had not just taken what he needed to survive. Many stories and tales he had read told of such beings simply snatching what they wanted or needed, but here sat on god who had literally taken himself to the edge of death.

Kichi listen in silence, not sure how he was suppose to respond. Instead he thought this over carefully, stuffing down his emotions and knee-jerk thoughts about it. For a long moment his mind whirled with many questions, but now more awake and alert, he was able to organize them. "What would happen to me?" He chose his words very carefully, not wanting to come across as close minded. He had to consider everything, but he was responsible for Anna no matter what. No matter how much he wanted to say an unconditional yes, for the simple sake that he also felt responsible for the man's condition.

After another moment of thought, Kichi exhaled a deep breath and looked around the mostly barren room. "If I help you, stay with you; would I be able to see my sister?" He was trying his best to keep this from overwhelming his mind, especially with the scenes of his parents death still fresh in the forefront of his mind now. "I have to look out for her too, no one else will." While he knew his uncle and aunt would provide for her, but they would never look after her the way he did. School and the like wasn't something he was overly concerned about, in fact if he never came back through these halls it would be no lose. He thought nothing of his peers, nor the way they harassed and teased him.

Bottles smashed, I raised my hand
How can you all even stand?
And why is there joy in this poison? Oh
Faking smiles and confidence
Driving miles to capture this excitement
I can't take anymore

You're never gonna get it
I'm a hazard to myself
I'll break it to you easy
This is hell, this is hell
You're looking and whispering
You think I'm someone else
This is hell, yes
I am in hell
