Caspian

Once upon a time, Caspian stayed with a very nice fellow in Aldrect. The man lived on a lake, and often waxed nostalgic about his beloved lovingly buried by the shore. The widow would often sit on the lakeshore in the evening hours, and being a kindly gent, would invite his guest to sit beside him. Of all the things the man had told him - because he talked a lot; seemingly happy merely for someone to listen - Cas remembered him saying that when he met his late wife, the merest thought of her was enough to lift him sky-high. Even in his old age, the memory of her kept him going. He had sworn up and down that when he met The One, Cas too would feel like he walked on air.
So the Aqua knew he was in trouble when the silken touch of Kida's flames all but lifted him out of the stream.
"Yeah, alright," he joked, hiding the sudden blush that darkened his fur with a ducked head and a few furious, but polite, shakes. "Being in a clan means responsibilities, eh?" For the most part, he was joking: adventuring meant doing what needed to be done sometimes, too. Surely there was some extra necessity when you had so many more depending on you, though. Apparently, he was going to see firsthand just what that was like.
He planned to hold her to that promise, however. After all, he wasn't a clan kuhna at heart, and a couple romps in the stream were necessary for growth. And joy. And future happiness.
