"Well, I think some of us are assigned specifically to look for new manifestations of talent..." Rocky began, but nobody much seemed to be interested in the answer, so she stopped in deference to Pepper.
"You..." Pepper's orders for this assignment, such as they were, had not been the clearest orders she'd ever received. The method of dealing with fugitives tended to depend on whether the League considered them dangerous, and regardless of what she herself might think things were somewhat vague on that front. From the fact that the Tiberians hadn't been diverted to handle this she could assume that there was no great danger, but that didn't help too much.
There were, of course, standard protocols to fall back on. Certain things would have to be done regardless. "You must return this place to its original timeline. We can't have alternative branches all over the place, you know. They interfere. Once the damage has been undone we will discuss other consequences." Her hope was that, in the process of putting things back together, she could demonstrate the superiority of the League's rules. She didn't have the authority to recruit at the moment, but at the very least she could prevent these two from doing any more damage in the future. As much as she could call anything "the future".
