So what if it was only one point? Something about claiming the first egg made her feel proud. She was so close, too! Just stretch out her neck, and it would be hers!

The water was very still here. Almost too still. It wasn't common to see still water in the ocean. Relieved to have escaped the current, Pup continued to swim on. There was an egg! She still had a bit of swimming, but she could see the bobbing color splotch clearly.

Yumiko stuck her head under the water in attempt to see the bottom; no luck with that quite yet. "I hope I'll be able to touch the bottom soon," she murmured, blinking the water out of her eyes. By now the salt had irritated her paws, and her eyes stung from both sunlight and saltwater. "It's not over till it's over, though!" she said, smiling slightly. At least the eggs on her back didn't weigh much at all.

Deciding she might as well practise some different strokes while she was out here, Zeta did a few experimental lengths. First of all she tried to streamline her shape as best she could, stretching out her body and tucking in her legs. Then she used her tails to propel her forward, sliding through the water like a snake. It was fun, but not hugely effective. Still, the egg was nearby so she could do no harm in trying.

Using her fun new method, she reached the little bobbing thing. Was it her imagination or did it look quite pleased to be rescued? Yep, the salt was definitely sending her stir-crazy. Or perhaps it was the fact she hadn't talked to anyone in a while. Either way, she found herself whispering comfortingly to the egg as she tied it to the rest of the crowd. Good thing no one could see her.

"Where next?" She wondered aloud, knowing now how Alice in Wonderland had felt. Maybe she should start heading back to the shore. On her way she could pick up egg #2

It was so weird, being out in this rolling blue blanket nearly alone but for the fishes and the seaweed. It was hard knowing which way she was going. Ravi tried her best to keep a beeline-straight path to her next egg; it was the best thing she could do.

Having left the playful little kuni behind, Dimas continued on to his next goal egg. The coral reef was fast approaching and Dimas hoped he could get through without damaging it once again. His legs were quite accustomed to the movements of swimming and quickly and quietly propelled him through the water. Slow and steady won the race, but fast and steady won it in less time. He had a ways to go yet and a lot of water to cross. He wasn't so tired he'd drown but he was still tired and his muscles ached. he could use a rest.

There was no time for rest. He had to get to that egg before anyone else or he would lose it. the game with the kuni had consumed much time, no matter how fun it was, and now he had to catch up with the others. Those twenty points would help, though.

With one decisive snap, she pulled back Egg #1 and put it into her pouch. She was feeling good about this! And the next one was so close, too!

"Moving on to 2!"
she shouted.

"Oh great!" Sukuza grumbled. She had to stop because of a school of fish that kept circling around her for a odd reason. She grumbled again.

It was just a quick lunging jump until Laminaria picked up the egg. Her pouch was so heavy and laden now--were they almost done? Those plastic eggs still amounted to some drag!

It looked like there was only one egg left, and someone else was already going after that one. Laminaria decided now would be the time to gracefully retire. Pulling herself out of the water, she reclined on the long, soft sand, letting her body sink into the golden warmth. She leisurely began to count her eggs, waiting for the final report.

(( Just posting a note. Unless I'm mistaken (which is a possibility) Eggs #: 19 , 21 , 24 , 25
left. o3o <3 Soo you know. ))

Laying belly down on the sand Chorey exhaled hard, blowing on the sand. Oh man this event was SO LONG! But it was almost over, that was obvious enough. Just a few more eggs and he could figure out which how many points each team had!

Yumiko swerved back and forth as she snaked through the water, her black tails trailing behind her. She flicked her ears to remove some water droplets that has caught on her fur. "I need to rest," she murmured, lowering her head so that it rested on top of the water. She would just float for a little while to rest her muscles; then she'd be off.

Just as she was about to snatch the egg, a blue and green shape splashed in front of her, taking the egg. Pup gave a happy squeal as Zeta swam past, and she leaped into the air before swimming away. At least the egg was for her team.

The egg seemed so far away! But Ravi knew, eventually, she'd get there, come heck or high water. She kept her paws digging at the surface of the water, her head bobbing up and down as she tried to see where exactly she was. It wasn't much hope; she'd just have to hope she was on the right path.

((Um, Aussie, I'm currently going after #14~ XD))

Yumiko let herself drift gently as she neared her next egg. "How relaxing," she murmured. If she was a Kuhna, she'd be purring like a motorboat. The eggs on her back shifted a bit, causing her to snap back to reality. "Alright, back to swimming," she said, grinning. Her legs, stiff but rested, began to churn through the thick salt water.

Pup quickly swam through the water, hoping to get the egg before it was too late. It was late in the competition, and she was sure most of the eggs had already been taken. She was happy, however, that the water wasn't so shallow anymore. It was easier for her to swim in roomier spaces.

(Now you have competition :P)
