Metallic wings glistened in the air, carrying the oddly colored Corbine towards the small sea port. Alice had been 'on the road' for days again, actually coming back from a trip to the Idalani Falls to...search for someone. She did not find him however, which would worry her best friend greatly, but she could not do much else. She flew almost all the way over back to Lambastia again, thanks to her Corbine nature, only resting once for a short time on a boat before going on. But now, even she was exhausted. She flew close to the sea shore, breathing in the almost annoyingly salty air, before landing on a pillar on the rim of the city, relaxing a little.
She was thinking about where she could get a good meal now,trying to forget that she would have to bring relatively bad news to her owner. Her thoughts where interupted tho, when her eyes fell on a Batty nearby,
whom she did not really seen come anywhere near her before now. She cocked her head slightly, watching him,
a curious glint in her eyes.

"Oh, Xai're! Bugger it all to Basantha!"
Walter mumbled under his breath, chewing on his nails nervously. He had found out his way back, a caravan, to his home in Aldrect had been raided by some ruffians and wasn't going to make it. One would suppose he could just fly home, Walter having wings and all, but that was a six-hundred mile journey. He could get attacked by Paragons or Garudors or-- or-- or who knows what else!
He paced outside the city, near the docks, wrinkling his nose at the smell of salt and fish. He looked at his options: he could get someone to escort him back home! ...No, no, they'd want money that Walter didn't have. He could get his father to arrange something? An even worse idea- his father was constantly pushing him to 'explore and adventure' on his own; he'd just tell him to man up and take the flight home.
"Oh, this is useless!" he grumbled. His eyes suddenly shot up to the sky, noticing a glint of metal. There, upon a pillar was a violet-hued Corbine, watching him carefully. He couldn't remember- corbines were machines, right? So they didn't need to eat, which meant they wouldn't hunt anything like, say, a small furry creature? He wasn't too sure on his logic. In any case, he'd best be polite.

"Uhm, hello. Something I can do for you?" he called up, trying not to seem too terrified by the steel bird.

Alice tilted her head a little when the Batti talked to her. It was impossible for her to show emotions
in her face, being a metallic bird and all that. Still she did her best to look as un threatening as somehow possible to her in body language. The poor guy looked slightly troubled, and she decidet to stay on the Pillar for now, to not distress him further. "No, I just...I couldnt oversee that you seem a little...lost?" she responded in her kindest tone, really just wanting to help. "is everything okay?"    

(oof, sorry. I've been working the whole day for school, and cant come up with more right now )

Walter looked up uncertainly. The corbine seemed to mean well... Predators don't normally talk kindly to those they are going to eat, right? He drew a deep breath to calm his freaked-out heart and smiled, if still a bit anxious, at the bird.
"Ah, yes, everything's fine," he shrugged. "Just had a.. bit of... bad news is all." That was an understatement, but Walter felt it was in poor taste to unload his troubles onto a stranger.

I kinda...lost my muse for everything evelon lately. and I'm kinda still struggeling,
but I try to push it^^')

Alice turned her head to one side slightly concerned "Ah thats a pitty" she said in a calming and kind tone,before adding carefully "I hope its nothing too dire"
she was curious and wanted to help, but she did not want to shove him into telling her more either.
She thought that maybe later she would find out more, and hoped that she did not sound too curious.
"Ah, I'm Alice by the way, its nice to meet you" she said.
