Things were quite calm on this warm afternoon. The smell of salty air coming in strong on the breeze as the waves came crashing along the edges of the shore. And with it, Vladilen held high expectations that he'd be able to find something really good from the stretches of white sandy beaches on this side of the island.

That something could've been just about anything, really. Vladilen wasn't gonna be picky about it, and loved finding all sorts of new things the ocean had to offer. Plus it was nice to just go out for a stroll once in a while.

Yes... A nice stroll that involved his large dark claws occasionally combing through the numerous tiny grains to discover any of the hidden treasures lurking beneath.

For a dragon of his size, it wasn't too difficult to cover a lot of ground in just a few sweeps. But he had to be extra diligent about not letting any of the smaller items to slip between his claws, and therefore go sadly unnoticed. As any unnoticed item would then become a missed opportunity.

Not even soaked feet and wet sand would keep him from it, as he even tried looking around closer to where the tides would come in and out.

It wouldn't take very long before he heard a familiar clinking sound against his claws. Stopping to look down, he could see there was something there. His discerning eye could already guess that it was a good one.

"Oho! There you are, my darling trinket." His large claws came around the edges of a hard flat surface poking out from beneath the sand. Without any effort whatsoever, he gave it a slight nudge to flip it over. His pink eyes blinked once as he gave the unearthed object a closer look.

It was a large flat disc, not much bigger than his hand, with a white surface and a classic design on it that he knew immediately what it was. A giant sand dollar. He rumbled in delight at this find.

Typically these were meant to be treasured items, especially around a particular festival time where they were far more numerous and used as a currency. A festival that had already passed quite some time ago, so to find one of these around this time was actually really lucky.

It truly was a very fortunate find for him, and as he lifted it up off the ground, his mind buzzed with thoughts and ideas. "You could make for a very nice pendant..." He muttered, now deep in thought. Perhaps if he collected a few more smaller shells, and maybe get a nice pearl or two from his collection, he'd be able to tie it all together onto some tough cord?

Further up ahead and a little closer inland, the much smaller dragon Haneul was sailing about in the air going through his usual patrol of the area. His big, round blue eyes darting about as he made sudden stops mid-flight to examine the sand and scrub in search of anything that didn't belong. When his checks turned up with nothing, he would continue along his way. It was a process he repeated constantly, especially if he saw something that seemed out of place.

His job, quite simply, was to go and find anything that consisted of being garbage, harmful objects, lost items, and anything else one could probably think of that wouldn't belong on the beach. While the  majority of the other dragons in his clans were not of the littering variety, the oceans were still sensitive to those kinds of bad behavior. As plenty of weird things could turn up from anywhere in the world if the currents chose to bring it here.

And then there was always the rare occasion of one of their guests not being too respectful either. While those types didn't come around too often, they definitely were always the worst!

The tiny dragon quickly grew irritated just thinking about it! To the point that the large crests on his head started to rattle for a little bit as he flew over to another spot. Continuing his routine, but this time over closer to the water, as nothing seemed to be stuck around in the plants from what he could see. Which again turned up nothing, thankfully.

So far it was turning out to be another clean area, at the rate he was going. Which was definitely good.

There still wouldn't be much time for him to settle down, as he'd quickly be given a new reason to rattle the moment turned. Spotting the large imposing figure that was all too familiar to him, looking down at something in his claws...

The thief was at it again!
