Gosh! The lengths she went to making potions! I mean, really, she didn't have anyone to blame for being out here in the middle of nowhere but herself. You see, she'd gotten this really nice lip scrub and exfoliating cream for the holidays one year and she really, really missed having it! She wanted more!

But she'd used it all up a little while ago and it was about time she got some more but it seemed so impractical to buy some when she could very well make some herself! She'd been practicing a lot, lately, with making lotions that didn't involve using magic so she was sure that she was ready to start adding magic into the mix!

But, of course, it wouldn't be super easy like that, she needed to travel all over to get the right ingredients! And this was pretty much the only place to get the type of salt she needed because it was practically the saltiest place on earth! Heh. Anyway. Here she was! And here she'd be searching!

She had to be very sure to dress appropriately, of course, not to bother any locals! She was wearing a pretty demur dress, for her, it only had a little bit of red and stars and sparkles along the hem! The rest of it was pretty calm, a variation of grey and other pretty colors.

Her magic talisman had shrunk down and she'd wrapped it around her wrist a couple of times. It was shiny and dangly and pretty, as it often was, taking on its own mood as she often appreciated it doing. While she was walking around in the hot sun in her pretty dress and shiny bracelet she was convinced she was on top of the world!

Anyway. Salt! It didn't take long to track down some locals, which she was happy for! Locals always knew the best places to find things. She asked around for directions to the desert, first of all, but now she was haven't less luck. Now she needed to know the types of deposits she needed to find and the locals were less sure about that!

Most people here were just worried about table salt and salt lamps and other common types of salt, but she wanted special salt! Salt that was still down deep yet rose high, salt that had absorbed some of the power of the nourishing earth itself! She really needed this very specific kind, which made it like looking for a silver needle in a iron needle stack!

Not to be confused with salt that was nourishing on its own or salt that had never served a purpose before, see, she needed specific salt! But not everyone in the world had magic so not everyone in the world understood, which was fine, but still a little frustrating! Not that she got frustrated! Of course!

She'd... somehow be able to find what she needed even if no one had any idea what she was talking about! Ugh. with a sigh (not a frustrated one!) she plopped down not far from the latest area she'd been exploring that didn't turn up what she was looking for. She really wasn't frustrated, she promised.

This was when a familiar would really come in handy, but sadly she hadn't found on yet. Maybe life would be easier if she could kill two birds with one stone and find a familiar while she was out here, but that wasn't particularly likely. Which was fine. Everyone was fine, she was sure of it!

She wasn't sure she'd want a familiar of salt and rock, anyway, she was usually more of an earth and water kinda girl herself. This was just a trip! She didn't need to find a familiar when she was just on a cosmetics trip, even if finding her supplies would be a whole lot easier with one.
