The soap he used was a local mix, made of kelp and honey, and it always left him feeling refreshed and smelling sweet and musky, and slightly salty. He had been told, on the days that he visited the Market, that visitors thought the majority of the town smelled like fish, but they had always complimented him on his unusual scent and asked what cologne he wore. He delighted in setting them straight and sending them to the stall which sold the soap, and he was rewarded with a basket of soap on special occasions for his efforts.
