There was an oddity upon the beach this day, as a gargantuan stone dragon was walking along the shore. He was so large, most would not have noticed the brown Lucain trotting alongside him. The only thing that made the canine stand out next to his companion was his bright blue ring pattern. "This terrain is difficult to traverse," the large creature complained, his feet sinking in the sand.

"Well, I did say I was going to meet Yin on this shore," Dios reminded his friend, Kuro. "We haven't seen eachother in so long... And yet, I'm surprised you haven't met her yet." His eyelids lowered thoughtfully. "You know, that's not the only thing I'm surprised about anymore..."

"Oh?" Kuro asked.

"You're so... big," he said, looking far up to the dragon's face. "And I'm a big Lucain! You used to be shorter than me."

"I'm still the same Kuro, though..." He shifted his wings a bit. "I'm still your friend."

"Of course," Dios said, smiling. "And that's why I think Yin will like you, too..."

The black lucain ran along the beach, her tails whipping behind her. It had been forever since she had gotten a good workout, and even longer since she had met with Dios. It was no wonder her heart was beating so quickly. Her white starry markings caught in the sun, much to her annoyance.

Alongside her walked - yes, walked while she was running, and kept up with her - was a pinkish-whitish dragon.

"Yin," the dragon asked. "Why are you in such a hurry?" the dragon stooped her head low to listen to Yin.

"I'm meeting my... Well, I suppose you'd refer to him as a boyfriend... here. I haven't seen him in forever, so I'm really excited." Yin said, panting only a little. "He mentioned something about bringing a friend, I think. Won't that be cool?"

The dragon, Shuo-Pian, or Pian for short, nodded. "And if your boyfriend hurts you, I could always squish him!" she offered, jokingly.

Yin laughed. "Yeah, maybe, but he wouldn't hurt me."

"Yin!" Dios barked, breaking into a run. He skidded to a stop, sending sand flying, and licked the side of Yin's face affectionately. He became such a puppy around her. "How have you been?" Dios looked up at the alabaster creature behind her in surprise. "...Who's your friend?"

Kuro was only two steps behind his friend. He stopped and lowered his head to Yin's eye level, or as close to which as he could. "You must be Yin," he said. "I'm Kuro... It's nice to meet you. Dios talks about you all the time." Kuro's eyes wandered up to Shuo-Pian and he was at a loss for words. Who was this dragon? He had never met another Stargoyle when he was younger, but to meet someone of his kind now... He was astonished.

Yin nuzzled Dios happily. "I've been fine, you? This is my new friend Shuo-Pian. It's nice to meet you, Kuro." Yin continued to nuzzle Dios. She could be such a fangirl around Dios...

Shuo-Pian inclined her head gently as a greeting. "As Yin said, my name's Shuo-Pian. It's a pleasure to meet you." She was equally curious about Kuro, looking at him. She hadn't actually ever met a brown-hued Garagnir, though if they all looked as... well, smooth... as this one, then she could hardly complain about them.

"Nice to meet you, too, Shuo-Pian," Dios replied, bowing his head respectfully. "That's an... interesting name," he noted, trying not to offend. "I don't suppose you're from around here, are you?"

Kuro blinked and settled himself into the warm sand. Perhaps it wasn't so bad... After all, sand was only grains of ground-up stone, and it was so warm... "Hello, Shuo-Pian..." Kuro said. "Pleasure to meet you." He was curious how Pian would answer Dios's question, and he listened intently.

"No, I'm not," Pian admitted. "I... Er, I sort of swam here. It's a long story, but I have no intentions of going back."

Yin batted Pian with her tail playfully. "Yeah, it's a long story you won't tell me," she reminded the Garagnir with a pout.

Pian rolled her eyes playfully at Yin.

"I'm up for a long story," Kuro said abruptly. This was followed by something of an awkward silence, and the stone dragon lowered his head a bit. "I-if you want to tell it, Shuo-Pian... I couldn't imagine a place where... such a beauty would originate."

"Neither could I," agreed Dios. "It must be quite a fascinating place." He paused to look over Pian again, and added, "You're free to tell us or not, though, of course." The Lucain settled down in the sand and gestured with his tails for Yin to do the same.

Pian smiled. "Well, I suppose I could tell it to a handsome stranger," she said, looking at Kuro. "If you really wanted to hear it."

Yin smiled at her friend's shyness and trotted over to lay next to Dios, nuzzling him gently.

"H-handsome..." Kuro blinked. "Um... hum..." Once again he was rendered speechless. The dragon looked down at his claws and fiddled them absentmindedly.

Dios chuckled to himself; Kuro apparently reminded him of something. "I think that means he really does want to hear it," he said. He wrapped his tails around Yin and nuzzled her back. She was silky-smooth as always, whether she liked it or not.

Pian sighed. It had started out innocently enough - she was just out for a swim, being the odd sort of girl who enjoys getting wet. She lost sight of the shore after a while, and couldn't figure out where she was. She saw a boatman once, but he either ignored her or didn't hear her. So she kept swimming, and eventually ended up here. She, naturally, told this with more detail as to the journey, but of course the typist is lazy.

Yin smiled and kept nuzzling Dios. He was warm and soft... She liked that.
