Willow's feet splashed in the water as she ran, her tails flicking happily behind her. She slowed down a little just to let him catch up, she didn't want to get too far away from him. She stayed a good distance away though, mintaining a five or six foot space between them. "Isn't the sea so nice, Hurui? I haven't seen any place that wasn't nice.. well the Slums isn't a good place but thats a little different." she said, still running, her feet leaving imprints on the ground.

"Why on earth would a lady such as yourself go to the Slums?  Heck, why would anyone except for black marketeers and... and... escorts?" Hurui asked, putting extra emphasis on the word escorts; he had a friend that was one that refused to look at a male Lucain at all.

"And yes, the sea is most peaceful... Mother always says that Grandmother Tali once lived here; now, she lives in Jawan, somewhere..."

"The Slums isn't that bad, I mean, it isn't the best place in the world but my friends mother has a nice little bar down there. Its not one of those.. places.. Its a nice little place that I like to go, just to chill out for a bit. I'll have Amadour or Cordial take me home, or I'll go when Lirit leaves with Ossy. I never go there alone, it wouldn't be very smart to do that in the first place." she said, shrugging slightly.

"Your grandmother likes the sea eh?"

Hurui nodded slowly.  "Well, I suppose if you know people that are fine going down there, that's okay." He said, before he rose his head slightly.  "My entire family, at least, stemming from my great-grandmother, loves the sea.  It's... just something that kind of embedded itself in us, this natural love of the sea." He said.  "It is always peaceful when we need to get away from a hectic life, and it drowns out any voices in our heads that we don't need bothering us."

Willow slowed down, now sitting down and waiting for him to catch up, listening to his words and nodding slowly and understandingly. "I don't know what type of love runs in my family, I guess that's because I never really knew my father and my mother..." Willow's voice trailed off as she looked down at her feet.

"Sometimes, one has to start their own instinctual habits that carry onto their children.  Grandmother Tali never knew her mother and father, outside of when she first saw them in the Nursery before she was sent to live with Fire." Hurui said; "It was because she went to Jawan at a young age that she fell in love with the sea." He added.

"Are there any things in particular that you like to do?  Or that you just like in general?"

"Hmm.." Willow mumbled, thinking for a bit. "I like when the wind picks up, and the leaves crumble under my feet. My mother, she would take me to this lovely weeping willow tree when I was sad and down, the wind would pick up and the leaves would dance around us as we danced with them and played. She used to take cherry blossoms and throw them out and watch them flow around us, then she would lay a old Indian blanket down. We'd have a pick nick and we would talk for hours, then I'd lay out in her arms and fall asleep as she sung to me.." Willow looked from her feet and then to him again, shrugging it off. "It's been a long time since I've done that though."

Hurui listened closely as Willow talked about all of these things before lowering his head.  "Ever since Miria found out that we were royal, she's made no allowances for fun.  She makes Mother give us tutoring on how to behave like royalty.  I haven't been on a picnic since I was a pup." He said quietly, shaking his head as he looked around the water.  "The sea may be a beautiful thing, but it makes one realize all that they have lost when they just look at it and think for a while..."

"I can take you on a pick nick, Hurui.." she said calmly, watching his movements and listening. She splashed him again with a flick of her paw, laughing as she did and smiling brightly. "Have you ate anything today? We can go now if you'd like.." she mentioned beaming brightly.

Hurui nodded as he said, "I'd love to go on a picnic.  I haven't had much of anything to eat in... a while." He thought for a moment.  "A while, here having the meaning of, since breakfast." He added quickly, returning the playful splash to Willow.  "I've forgotten, since it's been a while since I've been on a picnic... what do you take with you?" he asked.

Willow laughed lightly at Hurui "Well, first we need some food, a basket, a blanket or something... and somewhere nice to eat at." she said, smiling lightly "I think there is a place down there that we can get some stuff at, we can get some sandwich meat and bread, and I'm sure they have baskets and all that.." she said, looking down the way to where she remembered seeing a small store.

Hurui nodded intently as he looked around to where she was indicating.  After noticing the store, he began to look around where they were to find somewhere where they could set up this picnic and eat.  He spotted a place not far off from where they were standing, where there were a few palm trees standing not all that far from a cliff.  However, that was not what caught his eyes about the place; rather, it was someone that was standing there.

Lennox had not been out for a long time; the last time he'd gone out anywhere, it was to see his daughter and her children.  It had been so long since he'd seen Miria and Hurui that, now, he was beginning to wonder what had happened to them.  "Hopefully their path has a little more luck than mine and Ael's," he thought aloud to himself, remembering the deep regret that he'd seen in Ael when she heard that there was a possibility of no more Dry.  Fortunately for her, she had taken this shock with merely a grain of salt and was continuing on with her life.

It was a little hard for him to do so because he was so confused about what else there was to be had in the subject of love, especially with his twice-cursed blood.

Willow looked over to where he was looking and in a low whisper asked, "Do you know him?" she said softly as if she was worried that the other Lucain would hear her. But before she could say more, she yelped as something behind her nipped her tail.



Willow turned around quickly and growled only to see the brightly smiling Asaia, tails wagging happily and smirking at her "Hey Willow, Cookie said you were out here. I'm done babysitting the bar with Amadour for Amor, he can take it from here." she said, laughing lightly to herself as Willow playfully nipped back at Asaia.

When Willow yelped, Lennox turned around and noticed the two female Lucain and Hurui.  He instantly started walking over to them silently, his head held high.  As he approached, Hurui said, "That's my grandfather, Lennox." As Asaia said she was done babysitting down at the bar, Hurui thought to himself, Well, if this isn't impeccable timing.

Lennox held his head high as he said, "Greetings, Hurui.  I trust you are well?"

Hurui coughed as he said, "I suppose that's one way of putting it, Grandfather Lennox." He looked to Willow and Asaia and said, "Um... Grandfather Lennox, I want you to meet a friend of mine... and I believe, a friend of hers.  This is Willow," here, he indicated the Celestial and Ancient Lucain, "and her friend is... ah...?"

Asaia perked up and smiled, leaning over to whisper in Willow's ear "So who do we have here Willow? I think someone has found themself a man." she said soflty so that neither of the males could hear her. Willow tried to laugh and push it off by answering the question about who her friend was "This is Asaia." she said, smiling at Hurui, but still feeling Asaia's smirk burn a hole in her back. Asaia smiled too, still smirking at Willow but then turned her attention to Hurui and Lennox "So what are you doing out here Willow?" she asked, still looking curiously at Hurui and then back to Willow for an answer.
