[Remedy]

Juniper stood quietly, watching her surroundings.  She was standing at the corner of a street, waiting for the light to change so that she could cross.  Surely, with all the tall buildings around this city, there would be plenty of places for eggs to be hiding.  Once the light turned, she quickly crossed the street and entered a small drug store that was right at the corner.  She wasn't sure who she could find to do this egg hunt with, but she had confidence that someone would be in here.  She was good at making fast friends.

Yachiru was bouncing around the city, annoyed that the weird sword woman had left her alone again. “Dang it! Move it you stupid heads!” she yelled over the bustling crowds. This was very annoying to the poor pink haired girl. She’d tried jumping up to see over the people, but that still hadn’t helped. Pouting, she crossed her arms. She had been determined to stay put, but then her stomach started to grumble. Finally, she spotted a local vendor and gave up with her plan.
“Food! Yay!” With her eyes set on the prize, she didn’t notice the pale green egg until it was under her feet. By then it was too late, and she shouted with surprise as she tripped over it.

[Remedy]

Juniper, after getting a bottle of water and secretively pocketing an egg that had been hiding on the same shelf, headed to the counter to pay for what she had. She knew there would be eggs hidden around the city! However, she hoped the guy at the cash register didn’t see her and think she was shoplifting…
After paying the young man and putting up with his poor attempts at flirting, she exited the store and looked around. It was then that she noticed the small girl who had tripped in front of a vendor on the sidewalk close to the store she was in front of. Everyone walking by paid the poor girl no mind; no one stopped to see if she was alright.
The nerve of some people! Juniper thought angrily. This rude act offended her, and she immediately went to see if the girl was okay, voicing her worry as she approached.

[Elektra]

Yachiru looked up and saw an older girl standing over her.  She got up and brushed herself off, already smiling again.
“I’m okay. Thanks!” she said happily before she looked at the egg that she had tripped over. It was weird, finding that in the city. What was going on?

[Remedy]

After making sure the girl was okay, Juniper noticed that she was by herself.
“Where are your parents?” she asked worriedly. She knew how dangerous it was to be alone on the streets- even in this nice city. As she said this, she also directed her attention to what the girl was looking at. Smiling, she knelt down and picked it up.
“Oh look! An egg! I’ve been looking for those.” Juniper said happily before directing her attention back to the girl.

"You've been looking for easter eggs in the city?" Yachiru asked, confused.  She became even more confused, however, when she thought about what the girl had said before that.  Parents, well, that was the problem.  She didn't really have any parents, at least not that she remembered.  Regardless, she just smiled, and said in a sweet tone, "I don't have any.  I just hang around with this lady with a sword!"  Besides, that really wasn't to close from the truth.  She did hang out with the sword lady."So, really, what's the point of looking for eggs in a place like this?"

[Remedy]

Juniper's eyes widened, a bit surprised at the girl's response to her question regarding parents.  Then her expression softened understandingly- or so she thought she understood.  With the outbreak caused by the supposedly helpful drug that went horribly wrong, there was a large increase in the number of orphans wondering around.  However, the girl didn't look infected, but perhaps her parents were and sent her to live with this - 'lady with a sword', did she say? - to protect her.  However, seeing as there was no one around who fit that description, Juniper felt it was her duty as a decent person to protect this young, naive, uninfected girl from the dangers lurking around.  Putting on a bright smile, she tried to avoid continuing on the topic of parents.
"Well, I'm in this contest where I have to try and find as many Easter eggs as I can before time runs out.  Then I get cool points to spend on prizes in the end!  Hey, you look like a sharp-eyed young lady- would you like to help me look?  We can look for the lady with a sword as we go, and I'll spit the eggs with you in the end!"  she said happily, trying to talk sweetly to the girl while still treating her like a person.

[Elektra]

Yachiru's brow furrowed as she listened, her smile leaving just for a moment before reappearing, and she nodded.  "Sure thing.  I'll help you out!"  Looking around, she had to wonder if there were any less busy places for eggs to be hidden.  Surely it wouldn't be good to have random people coming by and collecting these eggs, especially if they were an important part of this contests.  "So, well, what do we do now?"

[Remedy]

Juniper's smile stayed plastered onto her face when the girl agreed to egg hunt with her.  She may be a bit of a burden, but who knows- the kid could actually be good at this.  Plus, Juniper really did love children.
"Ah, well it looks to me like there are plenty of shops on this street.  Maybe we'll find some there; I got this one in that drug store I just came out of." Juniper explained, proudly showing the brightly-colored, well-decorated egg that she had picked up before.
"I don't think it's shoplifting, since the stores obviously don't actually sell these." she explained, wanted to assure the girl that they wouldn't get into any trouble.

[Elektra]

"Sure.  And if they do think we're shoplifting, just get the heck out!" she said in a high pitched voice.  That sweet, innocent grin never left her face, and she swivled around and started down the street, hoping to get a little ways away from the crowd.  Hopefully, once they got out of the hustle and bustle of the main part of the city, it would make their search easier.  However, she noticed that she'd started walking without giving the other girl time to react.  "Come on, slow poke!" she called out.

[Remedy]

Juniper smiled and giggled at the girl's enthusiasm.  She was now confident that this bubbly little girl would be a joy to be around.  Beatrix, her younger sister, had never been this happy- and neither had her twin brother.  Sometimes people's moods rub off on those around them, and Juniper knew that she would feel a lot happier hanging out with this little girl.
Just then she noticed the girl had run off, and hurried to catch up.  She certainly didn't want to lose her in the crowd, especially now that she'd taken on the responsibility of looking after her, however temporarily.

Yachiru had begun looking around in the various windows of different buildings, but had yet to spot anything of interest.  Where were these eggs?  Surely they wouldn't be hidden in unimaginable places.  After all, you surely had kids that were going to be participating in this to, and to have them climbing up on buildings or windows probably wasn't the best idea.  Frowning ever so slightly, she turned the corner, and spotted a couple of small brown and green eggs.  "Hey, over here!" she called out, still trying to figure out what she should call this girl.  Sure, she could just use the name she had been given at birth, but what fun was that?

[Remedy]

Earlier, Juniper had been a bit worried that she may lose the girl in the crowd of people passing by on the sidewalk.  However, she soon came to realize that the pink hair and loud voice of the little girl were pretty hard to miss.  Hurrying, she ran to catch up with her.  However, she was slowed down because she had to keep her hands in her pockets so the eggs wouldn't fall out as she ran.  The jacket was old, and just last week she had somehow managed to break the zipper keeping it closed.  Unfortunately, her family wasn't in a position where they could afford new clothes if it wasn't absoutely neseccary.

"Hey, do you have anything to put these in?" Yachiru asked, holding out the eggs.  As she waited for a reply, she couldn't help but notice something about this girl.  She had an odd aura, radiating off of her, if one could call it that.  Perhaps she was just imagining things...  For the time being, she simply pushed the thought aside.  After all, she had to find more eggs if she wanted prizes.

[Remedy]

Juniper nodded when she finally caught up to the girl. She retrieved the crumpled plastic bag from her pocket. Originally, she had been saving it for when she had too many eggs to fit in her jacket's pockets. With this added help, it seemed that was approaching much sooner than expected. "Here, we can put them in this." she said with a smile, holding out the bag.
