[Remedy]

"Yeah, and maybe we can pick up some food while we're there.  I didn't have time to eat breakfast this morning,"  Anita said, completely in agreeing with the idea of going to the food court.  She should have time to pick up some food while still looking for eggs- a woman with her busy life must know how to multitask when needed, after all.

Dylan, however, looked downright appalled.  He slowly turned his face to her, eyes wide and eyebrows twisted in the strangest expression.
"You... you eat fast food?  That's absolutely disgusting!  How can you even- do you know what they-" he sputtered.  His distaste for fast food went arm-in-arm with his mysophobia.  He knew far too much about the cleanliness of fast food joints and their products, which is why he only trusted food he could meticulously inspect in a clean organic grocery store.

Anita ignored him and rolled here eyes.  "I don't have time for your worrying.  Food's food.  Just focus on those Easter Eggs, Dylan."

"Have you ever been starving enough to eat just about anything you could get your hands on?" Kasumi questioned.  "Because I would think that this would be preferred over the leftovers in the trash."

Kasumi could understand that Dylan had his preferences, after all, everyone did, but seriously, he had to get a grip on reality.  How was he expecting to succeed in life if he was to scared of everything around him?

She shook her head and started toward a small kabob stand to their left, dropping the needed amount fmkeystones in front of the vender.  "Two chicken and pepper kabobs, please."  Within minutes, she had two sizzling hot kabobs in her hand, and was munching down on one as she waited for the other two to decide on something.

[Remedy]

Dylan seemed a little put off by Kasumi's comment, but he just shrugged.  "Obviously not.  I've never been in a situation where I'd have to resort to... that.  I've always been perfectly fine eating clean food in the comfort of my own home."
He wondered if she'd ever been in that situation, but even if she had he could hardly feel bad for her.  It wasn't something he could understand, having never been in the same position.  Of course, just because he'd lived an easy life doesn't mean he's a bad person.

Anita listened to their exchange, but decided against commenting.  It didn't seem like Dylan had lightened up to Kasumi very much, or vice versa.  Sighing, she decided to ignore them and get her own food.  The idea of kabobs was rather enticing, since it would fill her stomach and she could easily eat it on the go.  So, she walked up to the counter and ordered the same thing as Kasumi had before turning back around and looking at the two of them.
"Better keep looking!"  She said, trying to sound enthusiastic.

Kasumi just shrugged, seeing her words only lit upon deaf ears.  She wondered if he was seriously gong to just not eat for the rest of the time they had to search, but figured that it was going to be his loss.  Munching on her second kabob, she waited for Anita to get her own food, then nodded as she looked around the regular areas for hidden eggs.  When she didn't see any, she figured that it was unlikely for such a frequented area to have ay eggs out in the open, and started to walk around as she finished off her kabob.

With a quick lick of her lips, she snapped the two sticks in half, then tossed them into a nearby garbage can before heading over to a cluster of tables to look for any eggs there.  Much to her disappointment, there weren't any, and she turned back to see if her two companions had had any luck, or if one of them had decided to start searching again.

[Remedy]

Anita decided to check around some of the other stands and shops to see if there were any eggs hidden among the displays and whatnot.  Unfortunately, her search came up short and she didn't find a single one.  Walking over to where Dylan had been wandering around, she dropped her now bare kabob sticks in a nearby trashcan.

"There doesn't seem to be anything around here.  Any ideas on where to search next?" she asked with a disappointed sigh.  Dylan's eyes brightened at her request for his opinion, and he pointed hopefully at a bookstore that was on the opposite side of the large room and on the level above them.

Anita raised an eyebrow.  "Wow... that's... actually a really good idea.  Since bookstores are so quiet and relatively unpopular now, I'm sure we'd be able to find something!" she said, mildly surprised.  She noticed Kasumi was looking over at them, so she waved at her to come over.

Kasumi walked over as she realized that one of them seemed to have had an idea.  She hadn't found any eggs herself, and it appeared that the others hadn't had much luck either, so any ideas were more than welcome.

"So did you decide where we might want to look around now?" she asked, looking at their surroundings.  There were quite a few shops, but none of them seemed to hold much potential in terms of eggs, other than the bookstore.  And if that was where they were planning on going, Kasumi had to give them credit for the idea.

[Remedy]

"Yeah.  I couldn't find anything here, which is disappointing, but I think it's because so many people have been in and out of this area all day.  Maybe there are more people egg hunting in this area," Anita said, having wondered about that for a while.  "Anyway, Dylan had the idea to go upstairs and look inside that bookstore."

She looked up and pointed at the entrance.  Dylan had already begun heading towards the stairs and escalators, eager to get to the store- probably with some other motives in mind then just searching for eggs.  He didn't even hesitate with deciding to use the empty stairs instead of the crowded escalators and cramped elevators.  People seemed to be getting lazier and lazier.

"Well he's eager to get going, isn't he?" she said jokingly.  She had let that fast food comment pass, but it would linger in the back of her mind until he said something else that made her want to just strangle him.  Until then, she could manage to act completely civil for Anita's sake.  After all, Kasumi was sure that she had already scared her enough with the flying sword incident when they met, and suddenly showing her more lethal side to the other woman probably wasn't a good move, not this close to the end of their allotted time.

Kasumi followed Dylan up the stairs, opting to avoid the huge crowds as the other man did, just not for the same reasons.  She was at the top before he was, but managed to do so with grace and speed.  Of course she waited at the top, not wanting to completely lose the other two, but still wanting to get to the bookstore with enough time t really start searching through it.

[Remedy]

"If only he was always like that..." Anita mumbled, following after Kasumi.  

Dylan, unlike most men would, paid no attention to the woman gracefully passing him up on the stairs.  He preferred to do things at his own speed of comfort and wasn't one to get intimidated when someone supposedly tried to "one-up" him.  It was another quality of his that made he and Anita so different from one another.  

She, too, was quickly gaining on him on the stairs, but he had enough of a lead already that they reached the top at the same time.  Anita then proceeded to take the lead in heading towards the bookstore, now back on track with her "time-saving" attitude.

The more that she was around Dylan, the more things Kasumi disccovered about the youg man.  He certainly wasn't very competitive like most men were, and she wondered if he had any spine in his body.  Not that she supported the idea that men should be above women, not at all, but he was just lower than a bug, and that almost irritated her.  But she had a couple ideas up her sleeve to drag him out of that comfort zone, if time permitted.

For now though, she would just follow Anita, who had stepped up her own pace, and keep searching.  She knew that the Cuniflare had said something about new prizes and worths for the eggs they found, but in all honesty, she wanted to just find as many as possible.  Afer all, she wasn't one to stop until she absolutely had to.

[Remedy]

Anita recognized the same annoyances about Dylan as Kasumi now was, but she was used to them.  Even though they'd only been working together for about six months, it was enough time for the both of them to learn how to cooperate.   However, they did take up a most of that time arguing and fighting before they had a tolerable, mildly un-hostile relationship.

It didn't take long for her to reach the entrance to the book store, and Dylan wasn't far behind.  Wordlessly, he headed over to one of the bookshelves, eyes brightening happily as if he were a child in a candy shop.  Anita just hoped that she wouldn't have to remind him too often to stay focused.

Kasumi walked in behind Anita, only to suddenly have Dylan come up rom behind her and rush toward the rows of books.  Finally, something that seemed to really get him inspired.  How long that would last, she wasn't sure, but for now, she was just going to look around.

Looking at Anita to see if she had any specific ideas, she decided to head for the biography section.  She figured that the kids wouldn't have strayed over there unless their parents dragged them long with them, which would mean that there might still be eggs there.

"Hey, I'm going to look around the biography section.  I'd say to stay away from the children's and teens sections if you really wanna find the remaining eggs." Kasumi suggested, smilling.

[Remedy]

Anita nodded.  "That's a good idea.  I'll head over to the adult fiction area, since Dylan seems to be making a beeline for the medical non-fiction section.  They're around the same place, but I doubt he's going to actually be looking for anything."

Sure enough, Dylan had already finished scanning the book rack he had stopped by.   He directed his attention toward the back right of the store, where a sign could be seen that read "Medical Non-Fiction."  Walking over, he scanned the titles of the books, obviously getting sidetracked from the task he was supposed to be doing.  Luckily, at the end of one shelf, he found a large black and white egg wedged between a book and the side of the bookshelf.  At least he could act like he was trying, then.

Kasumi immediately started seearching through the shelves of books, a different title catching her eye every now and then, but she had to stay focused on the task at hand.  They were approaching the end of their allotted search time and she still didn't have quite enough eggs for her to be satsified.  Her competitive had really come out now, and she wasn't about to leave without finding more eggs here.

Picking up a book, she slid her hand back and then to the sides, searching for any eggs hidden behind the books.  There was nothign when she tried this the first couple of tiems, but as she reached the end of one bookcase, she found a small purple and yellow tye-dye egg behind a middle row of books.  She went down and found a large red egg on the bottom shelf near the end below the previous one, and the grin on her face grew.  The rest of the section was devoid of any eggs, but for the time being, she wsa pretty satisfied with her current haul.

[Remedy]

Anita was surprised at her own luck so far.  She'd only just entered the section she was supposed to search, but still managed to find an egg almost immediately.  All it took was a glance to the books on the eye-level shelf to her left to see it- a boldly painted, neon yellow egg resting on top of one of the books.  She was surprised, not only to find one in such plain sight, but also that it was even still there.

Dylan hadn't found any since that first one, but of course he didn't mind.  The event would end soon, anyway.  He decided that while they were there, he could at least scout the shelves for any new medical books he may want to pick up.
