The mansion is decorated with small hearts of various colors, and smells of roses. The entrance is covered in flowers of varying types, each one representing a different type of love from friendship to familial to romantic.

Soft music plays inside the ballroom which has a large table to the side filled with bowls of punch and sweet treats.

The parlor room has soft lounge chairs and couches, perfect for relaxing or cozying up with a loved one.

The great hall has many more sweets and treats for people to dine on. The room is lit by candles and a fireplace to chase away the chill of winter.

Everyone is free to explore the mansion as they please and eat their fill and have fun.

Rules and Information

+ Everyday from February 15th to February 22nd (Evelon Calendar Days) users may post here to earn a ticket for Sedimus' raffle for each day that they post. If you miss a day, sorry you miss the ticket for that day.

+ Posts for one day may be made up to 11:59 PM (23:59) EST. If it is made after that, it counts for the following day, if a potential ticket is to be awarded that day.

+ Posts MUST be roleplayed here and, since this is a minor event, there is a 75 word count minimum for each post. If you don't meet the minimum, sorry, your post wont be counted for that day.

+ Prizes will be rolled after the event and distributed at a later date.

Ah, another holiday. It wasn't a very big one, and it was a little annoying sometimes — it kind of shifted from year to year, to be honest — but it did bring food with it, so there was something to it. Even if it did celebrate something they couldn't really relate to personally. They truly did enjoy the concept, though.

So the mansion looked inviting, despite the theme. There was food, and comfortable couches and places to lounge in! Who couldn't get behind that?

While Ceres had no interest in romance, at all, he did enjoy friendship and Sedimus was a very good friend of his, so here he was.

He worried about Sedimus after the incident and wanted to be around during a holiday that normally left his friend feeling very morose. He could tell Sedimus was still hurting despite his seemingly cheerful attitude.

He was very good at masking but Ceres was even better at seeing through masks.

He sidled up to Sedimus with a smile and handed him a pastry.

"You doing alright?"

Sedimus smiled and took the pastry.

"Yes, I'm doing alright. Thank you for asking. You?"

"I'm doing well, Seddy. Just let me know if ya need anythin'."

Sedimus smiled more genuinely.

"I will, Ceres. Thank you."

The shadowy figure stood in a corner, slowly sipping at a cup of punch.

"I suppose I should be glad you gave me the ability to enjoy it."

Hey, you deserve some kind of compensation for everything you do. Don't worry, I'll bring in some actual characters next.

"Yes, I do appreciate that. I admit I'm not sure what I can really do at this sort of event."

Hey, it's not actually a speed dating thing or anything like that. Just...hang out, enjoy the company?

"I'll enjoy it from this wall."

They stuck around, enjoying the peace and quiet — and of course, the food. Not a lot of people has decided to show up, but that was okay, too. Sometimes, a quiet party was more enjoyable than a loud, crowded party. Not every single outing needed to be stressful and loud.

For now, they would enjoy the comfortable couches and the sugary treats that were lined up. And if no more people showed up, well...more for them! Self-care, right?

Sedimus was a bit glad that it was a more quiet and subdued event this time around. The peace and quiet was refreshing.

He went to the punch bowl and got himself a cup and took a few sips. It was sweet, but not too sweet. He got another cup for Ceres and brought it over to his friend who took it happily.

Together they listened to the soft music without conversation, simply enjoying the friendly company of one another.

"Your traditions are so fascinating," noted Caldera as the two Lucain moved through the ballroom, circling around each other in time with the music. "I admit, this is my first time 'dancing.'"

"Well, it's not really dancing yet. But I think it's probably better to go it slowly, you know?" replied Ray. "Get a feel for the rhythm and all that. Maybe grab a few snacks." He grinned a bit at the smile on Caldera's face. The volcano spirit really enjoyed mortal food.

Jason stretched out on one of the couches, yawning slightly as he extended one paw out in front of him. He'd come here hoping it would be like a singles mixer, but so far no one had really caught his eye enough for him to go for anything longer than a brief conversation and maybe a dance. Still, it was kind of nice to see all the other couples being happy. He lapped at his saucer of punch as he considered which way to head next.

Eventually the party started to die down. Sedimus sighed in relief and made sure to thank each guest as they left. It had been a good past week, but he was ready to relax and escape the reminders of a holiday he himself wasn't fond of anymore.

But his therapist had insisted on him throwing this party to force him to interact with others more and to form happier memories for a day that normally left him sobbing.

Ceres made sure to bring over some treats to Sedimus as the guests left to keep his energy up.

"I hope you all had a wonderful time this year. While this event is over, I do have some small prizes for everyone as a parting gift."

Sedimus motioned to a long table filled with small treasures and invited everyone to take the one listed with their name. He hoped that everyone truly had a good time and that they would return next year. It had been fun to watch everyone enjoying themselves and it filled his heart with both joy and warmth.
