Seeing Min-jun cajoling Do-yun only twisted the heavy feeling in Dae-hyun's gut further. Under different circumstances, maybe he might have felt some sympathy for Do-yun's plight; it wasn't as if Dae-hyun had wanted to come here either, and their dislike of parties was mutual. It could almost have been a bonding moment, except those weren't really Do-yun's thing either, as far as Dae-hyun could tell.

But it was suddenly hard to think about anything other than how uncomfortable he felt being here right now, especially with Do-yun giving the rest of them that look, like he wanted them to clear off and leave the two of them alone.

"Have you guys met Dong-hyun?" Yo-han was saying. "This is Dae-hyun's little brother."

"Nice to meet you," Dong-hyun said. He had lowered his mask again, grinning from ear to ear. "Can I call you hyung? My groupmates and I watch you guys on TV all the time! A second year group's charisma is really different..."

"You just debuted recently, didn't you?" Yo-han said.

Dong-hyun nodded. "BOI debuted in April. Our next track is coming out soon, please give us lots of support!"

"You're not here to promote," Dae-hyun said testily. Irritation and spite and a hint of nausea coiled together in his chest, and he brushed past the lot of them in the direction of the bar. "If we're drinking, let's drink." He really didn't want to be sober for this.

Kailysion had heard about the Tavern in passing. A few people of the manor had been interested in the holiday events. This was the first time Kail had had time to leave the manor for any long amount of time. Prizes were always interesting, especially free prizes. Perhaps the cost was in his travel expenses, but still it would be worth it if even for a break.

"I'd like to claim the prize for today," he said, upon finding the right person to ask.

Winter gave a final nod, satisfied he had 'fixed' the situation.  Looks like he didn't have to throw himself into the pool to escape the awkwardness after all!  He still might later, but with a swimsuit and floaties.  He wandered away from the pair, quietly hoping that this Cyril was the 'regular' version and last year's was one of those extreme alters he occasionally had to deal with.  It seemed clear to him that the man at the very least had a more stable head on his shoulders.  Hopefully that descent into darkness wasn't one of those tricky predestined outcomes that cropped up from time to time.  They were quite rare and able to be nullified with effort, but oh were they so tricky, never without a catch or a counter.

The kid practically busted into the tavern. With a confident gleam in his eye and a grin on his lips, he strode through the crowd as though everyone he passed should tremble before him. Too bad his appearance didn't match his attitude, looking more like a lanky teen with punk tastes.

Today, he had decided that he would grace the tavern with his presence as a favour to Jaden who cared for his baby sister so well. (Well, that and his name was drawn in the raffle for today, but we're going to pretend that didn't happen. Malekeith does not bend to mortal standards.)

He, whose name was actually Jimmy, strode up to an available table and plunked himself down, slapping the table and proclaiming loudly, "A pint of your finest ale, barkeep!"

Oh man, this place had free cake? Free cake? That was definitely something she couldn't pass up. Man, there were so many choices to pick from though that it was very hard to decide. The one with the black frosting looked very curious, so eventually Kyrit settled with choosing that one. Sitting down at the bar to eat it was a bit of a risk, but a risk she was willing to take none the less. Hopefully Estebanito wouldn't catch her.

Christmas was approaching quickly, and the days were beginning to fly by, the early nights making them feel even shorter. Rheese strolled down the winding cobbled street, enjoying looking at the decorations that had been put up as her breath formed a cloud in front of her mouth.

She was waiting for the Tavern to appear, and was enjoying a late-evening walk as she did. She figured that it would find her rather than her searching for it, so she kept walking, keeping an eye out jus in case she missed it.

When she spotted the familiar door, a wave of relief washed over her, and a smile broke out on her face as she madecided her way inside and over to the Event area. She wondered what it would be, given that she had received some lovely things so far - she could barely contain her excitement, and she trembled and she waited for her turn.

Chase was not so sure how she felt about the holidays, but her curiosity got the better of her this time. She didn't have anything better to do, with everyone being off the usual schedules, so she just wandered around the city looking for something interesting to occupy her for the night. Maybe she would find a new place to eat, or more likely, go to the same old places she already liked to go.

It was a bit of a surprise to her when she passed by a tavern she had never seen before. It was unfamiliar, but somehow not. She was far too curious to walk away, so she tentatively opened the door and went inside. Much to her surprise, the place was celebrating the holidays, yet decorated elaborately with a tropical theme. What a strange combination! She was quite amused by all of it, and decided to have a wander around. While she avoided making eye contact with anyone, she did take the time to look at all of the decorations and smell the available food.

One of the interesting things Felix had learned from traveling between dimensions was that, no matter where you went, people always celebrated something in the dark of winter. When the world was at its darkest and grayest, people needed a holiday--and they always found a reason for one. In his homeworld, it was the Starry Night festival, where they celebrated the beauty of the winter sky. It was a night to be spent amidst the warmth of loved ones. Here, they celebrated something called Christmas.

It was funny how similar it was to the Starry Night--they even filled up stockings with gifts, just like they did at home! But this Advent Calendar thing was unlike anything they had at home. Counting down the days to a holiday? How fun! And what a wonderful way to make the holiday go even further.

He had an idea that this particular celebration was a bit nontraditional, though. He didn't care much, though--they had sushi and it was delicious.

"What's the plan, Genevieve?" he took a sip of his drink, slightly surprised to find how much he enjoyed it. If left to his own devices, Horatio preferred to stick to the classics. He enjoyed a good vintage red wine, and could be convinced by port or bourbon if someone was offering.

Genevieve shrugged. "It's a party, Horatio. We mingle, we have a good time. We try to not make complete idiots of ourselves. Whatever people normally do at parties. You know what having fun is, right? You have been to a party before, right? Or did you just read about them in your history books?" She was teasing him, her expression mischievous.

"Very funny. I was asking what you wanted to do first."

"Oh," she said. "Dance?"

Cecil watched the stranger's retreating figure until he was at a comfortable distance, and only then did his shoulders sag beneath Cyril's touch. That was more than enough nonsense for his taste, for one evening. No more did he wish to hear from anyone except the boy.

"What bollocks," He scoffed, shaking his head. Doppelgangers and timelines and mistaken identity? A pile of rubbish if he had ever seen one - there had probably been too many Mango Mahools involved in that guy's itinerary. "I s'pose it's finished, but I'd rather it not have happened.."

He took Cyril's lead and went for another mouthful of his drink. The fruitiness was refreshing, after weeks of sipping whisky at meetings and parties, and was a delightful frivolity to boot. There would be plenty more where that came from, if he had anything to do with it.

"Right? 'm pretty impressed," He agreed, holding up his glass towards the light. "Taste good?"

Kakashi blinked a couple of times as the kid prodded him in the chest with his small little index finger. Ah. So, this was a guessing game then, was it? Well, it was a guessing game for him. The kid seemed to think that he should already know his name. He rearranged himself a bit, sitting cross-legged and resting his elbow on his knee, and subsequently his chin on his palm, tapping his index finger on his cheek as he thought.

To be honest, it had been awhile since the last time he'd actually heard one of the "ghost" surrounding the mysterious child. He knew there was something the village had taken to calling the boy, but for whatever reason, he was having trouble remembering. Ha. Wasn't that just the nature of these sorts of things? "Hm... Alright... Might not be right but... Thorn's a pretty cool name for a kid like you."

He sat and waited, watching his new friend as he pondered. It seemed so silly to him. How could you not know what to call him what he was when people so often called him by, well, what he was? So when Kakashi gave his first guess, Omen tittered with a shake of his head.

Thorn. Pfff. He might have known someone (or something) else named after thorns, but he himself wasn't that person. Another little poke was jabbed at Kakashi, go on friend have another shot at it.

Vixen had been drawn from the raffle this time, and made her way to the Quest Master's tavern. She needed a break from her potions and her kids anyway. She wanted to come out on her own, without one of the brats tagging along but it had been a very close call. Daxon was all too eager for family bonding time with her, either together with his siblings or just the two of them, preferably both.

After all these years, one would think he'd realize his mother didn't really want much to do with any of them. Hades felt the same, Bellatrix was satisfied with a cordial relationship, and Cyra...did whatever she felt like doing. Honestly, Daxon was the only thing keeping this family together at all. So much so that Vixen actually kind of felt bad now, coming here without him. She also felt bad about feeling bad. Her personal life wasn't over just 'cause she was technically a mother.

She shook it off and slunk toward the bar to find a seat there. She didn't have brats around, so by golly she was going to drink. "I guess I'll have one of those Mahool things. And one of whatever your most unusual mix is, I'm curious," she asked the bartender.

Fahx was thoroughly enjoying himself here. So much free food and drink, music to dance to, people to meet and greet. It is all amazing! Oh he was so going to hit the dance floor once he finished this last piece of steak.

Once done with his bloody meal the alien hopped up from his seat and with a hyena like cackle ran to the dance floor to dance his tail off. There is nothing a Floxal loves more than food and dancing!

By some luck, Pyrrhus would indeed make his way over towards the pool. With a certain haste that was only slightly impeded by the mass of bodies standing between him and the water, he did his very best to squeeze by so that he could get there as quickly as possible. There were no guarantees of him not bumping into a couple of people by mistake on the way over, there were just so many!

Upon reaching it, Pyrrhus would crouch down near the edge to stare at the water with fascination. He even dipped a finger in to test out the temperature.
