From here, Fujiko could hear Jigen's gruff voice ringing far louder than it had any right to in this already noisy room, aflame with all of the irate passion of a dejected lover. She supposed it wasn't far from the truth, at the very least. She'd send him a nice bottle of port wine or something of the sort later as an apology for snatching Lupin away, but... she needed him, for this job. And he was playing his part perfectly, keeping those other two distracted merely by being himself. He always was the best actor when he didn't know he was acting.

Fujiko slipped through the crowd like water in a stream, smiling sweetly to passersby who looked a little bit tipsy already, so early into the night. She supposed that was a consequence of free alcohol and food. But—ah, the guards... the guards at the foot of the stairs.

Well... this wouldn't be too difficult. Even these suits with their dark sunglasses and... rather hilarious Santa hats were human. And humans were highly susceptible to bribery... among other things.

Two young women entered the tavern. They'd come dressed to the nines in terribly cliched holiday clothing. They practically bounced around the venue, eyes bright, and laughed with each other. The giant advent calendar was eye catching and they were both eager to get their hands on something free.

"We totally have to get something cool," one said.

The other closed her eyes and did a little twirl, arm outstretched, and when she opened them she squealed. "We, like, are totally getting that one," she said, gesturing to the one her finger landed toward.

"That's like totally not how this works. You're so funny," the other girl laughed.

Within moments of Toxic and Z's arrival, another pair stepped into the mansion through the front doors. Although, both individuals shared a resemblance with one another and, even more strangely, they had an uncanny resemblance to the woman, Toxic.

They were chatting amongst themselves, until the man spied the back of Toxic as Z lead her to the dessert table. After a brief moment of watching the pair, having stopped to do so, Hazardous turned to face the woman with him. "Mimic, we should probably disguise ourselves."

"What?" She looked at him confused. "Why?"

"Look!" The man said, gesturing toward the other woman with a nod of his head, and then adjusting his red framed glasses. "I don't think this is the time or the place that we run into each other."

"But you're not willing to give up on the party, are you?" Mimic knew this well enough.

"I'm glad that we have an understanding," he replied. "If we disguise ourselves, no one will notice that three of us are here at once, right?"

"Hopefully so."

The Diosol tilted his head back to sniff at the air. "I think the moment is coming," he murmured. "Soon we will see if our waiting has come to anything." He drifted slowly towards the main room, laughter and joking forgotten for the moment, followed by the Werebetta.

The two hovered, feeling the spirit of the moment gather around them in a rush, swirling about the room and stirring everyone in it up. Both of them sighed, softly, as they felt the culmination of everything they'd been working on building up.

Gina shook her head slightly as she laughed, causing her ringlets to bounce merrily around her head, reminiscent of the strands of tinsel that wound their way around the tree behind her.

Her dress was less ostentatious than the one she had arrived in, but when the cloakroom attendant had offered it to her she had been unable to refuse. Midnight blue, it was sleeveless with a high collar and lace betwren the collar and bodice, which hugged her figure to her hips before the skirt opened out and a side parting began halfway down her thigh. Tiny diamonds and silver embroidery picked out the constellations, as if she wore the night sky itself, and a pair of matching blue heels and some silver jewellery finished the look off.

As she swayed, the fabric swayed with her, and she caught herself fantasising about buying it from the Hostess at the end of the night. After all, it was Christmas, and it would make a lovely gift to herself - already she could picture herself wearing it to the New Year's Eve Ball she was due to attend the following weekend...

The women continued to mull over their plates of treats and their mugs of eggnog as they watched the rest of the party around them, offering soft murmurs from time to time as they conversed largely telepathically. Before long, however, Xyshari's ears perked up as she turned her head sharply, looking towards the doorway as it opened.

"What is it?" Lana asked, turning to look in the same direction as her wife. When she saw who was there, her eyes widened slightly.

Standing in the doorway were Arcann and Senya, who both looked... rather lost.

Kai sighed after listening to her husband's dismissal of dancing. "Well, I know it's futile to get you to enjoy it," she said while leaning into his chest "but at least let me enjoy myself and join me the next time without any fussing. Alright?" She patted him on his chest before peeling away from him, taking long and deliberate strides off the dance floor and towards some bubbly drinks.

Arean stood there for a second or two, mesmerized by his wife. He let out a big sigh, returning to reality. "I just can't say no to her can I" he said under his breath, following after his partner to indulge in a drink of his own.

The iconic rumbling of a heroic motorcycle could be heard in the distance. It grew quickly closer. Even through the music and noise of the party, the noise could inexplicably be heard by all. It inspired courage and hope in the hearts of everyone. On this delightful day of celebration, it brought happiness to all to hear this noise.

For everyone knew this motorcycle.

For everyone knew the one true densetsu: Johnson Smith-san!

The motorcycle came to a halt at the entrance of the mansion. The Kuhna hopped down the motorcycle, but the machine didn't stop rumbling; no, in fact, his dearest friend Betty followed Johnson Smith right inside.

"Minna-san! I am here now!" Johnson Smith announced, expecting everyone to welcome him as the savior of the party, as Santa Claus himself. He did have a gift for everyone. It was himself, in his true glory, in the flesh. Who wouldn't be absolutely ecstatic to meet the sugoi, kakoi Johnson Smith?!

Wyatt quirked an eyebrow. She wasn't changing her mind now, was she? With the way things were going, the way the energy in he room shifted, the night would be reaching a finale soon. There was a way these things always went, and he had been to enough to feel it.

That made him laugh, louder than he expected. Of course that's what she would want, snacks.

It wasn't an often occurrence for this new girl to go wandering about this far out into unknown territory, but today of all days just seemed like the best time to do so, y'know? After all, they did manage to come across this big mansion! Even if it was much to the dismay of her bestest friend that was always by her side, who had made many attempt to discourage her from running around aimlessly. What was even better, she even found herself a new friend!

Unfortunately for Bacca, this was a rather often occurrence for the girl to run up to new individuals she took a liking to, and make attempts to either play with or hug them, in this case it would be the latter as she brought the cat into a gentle embrace. While she always meant well, there was no getting around the fact that this was all being done without the permission of the recipient. Since it was just a cat though, her dog friend would not take as strongly of an issue than he normally would with it.

"W-Waaah?!?" The cat uselessly spluttered, digging his claws into pristine puffy sleeves as he felt light pressure all around him. His head would turn to try and make sense of what the heck was happening, and all the while his legs were dangling around uncomfortably. The first thing he'd see, which he greatly disliked, was the fact that there was now a dog of all things practically inches away from him, and there was the human child as well that apparently had captured him. Something about her seemed... strange. Though he was in too much of a panic to really understand why. He just wanted to escape her clutches and get as far away from them as possible.

When he turned back to Senah, he found her studying him with a look of concern. Not the usual one either, tinged with exasperation, but unusually sober and... sad.

He smiled at her, and hoped what she read in his face assuaged her concerns. He could guess what she was thinking, but he wasn't about to say it aloud unless she did first.

The silence stretched between them as the holiday music played on in the venue, and for a moment Koh'a thought she would balk after all. He was in the middle of trying to find an appropriate quip to redirect their conversation when she finally took in a sharp breath and said, "It... Do you still think of them often? Your family."

Riley jumped at the sound of the voice, very startled by the sudden sound. He hadn't expected anyone to be behind him; there had been no one there before after all. He spun on them, his expression indignant and a tad anxious, though it faltered a bit when he saw them. He had not expected the strange creature of shadow and light before him.

He took a few deep breaths to try and calm his racing pulse before addressing his rather rude companion. "Who the hell are you? Have you been following me? Why?"

Xyshari. Lana.

It was impossible to tell between the two women who was more concerned about the presence of the mother and son pair there, but not Theron or their three children. It didn't take long for the Zakuulan pair to spot the Sith and Jedi, and they walked over to them, making note of their confused expressions.

"You're wondering how we ended up here," Senya asked, and Lana nodded.

"Well, yes," Lana said. "Are you quite sure Theron can handle the three of them on his own?"

"He insisted," Arcann replied. "And the children insisted, too - practically shoved us out of the estate and told us to find you, mentioned that you would be in a place that looked both out of place and like it belonged. This was the only building that matched that description."

"I don't recall this building being here before, but then again, we don't often venture out," Senya said, looking around. "Theron mentioned this happens every year?"

"Yes," Xyshari said. "We've come every year since we arrived here."

Gabriel grabbed two glasses of bubbly liquid, and carried them over to their seats before one of them to Rheese who sipped at it delicately as she listened to the Hostess announcing what the prizes had been so far.

"Some lovely prizes this year" she remarked, turning her head towards him. "I have to wonder though - what on earth is celestial mist? And what does it do?"

Gabriel shook his head and took a sip from his own glass. "I haven't the foggiest idea" he quipped, and Rheese snorted into her drink far less gracefully than she would have liked, before bursting out in giggles. "Oh that was a good one" she muttered. Gabriel grinned, and together they turned their attention back to hear what the remaining prizes were.

The couple continued their adventure into the night. They talked, drank, and ate amongst the various other eccentric party goers at the mansion. As the party started to draw to a close, the two found themselves outside the in garden that was blanketed in snow. They both wore fairly thin clothing, yet the temperature didn't seem to bother them as small flakes descended from the sky as they each held a small glass of wine in their hands.

"You know," Arean said breaking up the silence "I actually think I had a good time." He said with a smile on his face as he looked out into the garden. "And don't you dare say it. I can see that smug look on your face that precedes an 'I told you so'!" He said as Kai had a large grin on her face.

"Fine, I won't say it," she said while her fingers moved up Arean's arm, mimicking a person walking. "But," she added when she got to his shoulder "do remember this the next time I try to drag us out of the castle." She then bopped him on the nose with her finger, letting out a small giggle before settling into his arm with a sigh.

"You know, I think this will be one of those days where we look back on in the future." She said taking a sip of her wine. "One of those memories we will look to when life gets down and we have a small fight. A memory where we are reminded 'ah, this is why I fell in love with them', don't you think?" She said to her husband, looking up at his face.

Arean gave her a smile before taking a small sip of wine with the music playing in the background. He then put his arm around his wife's shoulders and pulled her in closer, her heat warming up his body. "I wouldn't say it any better myself."

There was a short pause as the two looked at each other, then inexplicably burst into a quiet laughter as the party faded away into the background and the snow glimmered from the moon and stars above.
