Most of the southern region of Baa'sek is cut off from the rest of the continent by the dense, dangerous Tengel Rainforest. Much of what isn't forest is swamp lands, with the Baian Swamp covering the majority of the coast. Most cities exist along the edges of the rain forests, particularly in a divide just on the eastern limits of Baa'sek. Lamenolai lies to the north while the Slums lie to the south.

The smaller of Evelon's two most prominent western continents, Barakka is characterized by its plethora of snaking rivers and the belt of rain forests that divide the northern and southern regions. The more habitable lands tend to be to the north of the forests, with much of the south covered in swamps created by the high amount of rainfall. Most come to Barakka to enjoy the peaceful north, often seeking the beaches or a vacation to see the stunning waterfalls.

Still, there are sadly a large number of people that come for the exotic flora and fauna; illegal poachers make a wealthy living to the south, profiting through a hidden black market. Besides this, Barakka's main legal exports are rubber, fruits, spices, and fish among many other exotic goods.

You can find more information on many notable locations in the southern region of Baa'sek here.

Baian Swamp - If you're going to Baian, you can expect that it's going to be raining, as there are far fewer days that it doesn't rain in central and southern Baa'sek. The heavy rains throughout the region drain toward the south, feeding in to a lower lying area by a river. These rains have created a swamp that stretches for miles along the southern coasts. Thanks to the moist soil rich in minerals, wildlife here have developed unique adaptations. To travel through this thick, muddy area, most either take specially designed boats.

Lamenolai, City of the Guardians - Rich in cultural backgrounds all over, this exotic city is abundant in life. Here you may purchase many exotic goods that are unlikely to be found across the world. Luscious fragrances and savory tastes are abound here, and you may even pick up a little bit of Barakkan dialect if you hang around too long! Large stone 'guardians' are placed all around the outer walls of this formidable citadel-city, whose thick stone walls rise high and surround the entire city, with small entrances as the only way in or out. Ironically, amidst all this culture,  Lamenolai is also home to the Headquarters of the Purines, an opposing organization to the Imperialists of Lambastia.

Tengel Rainforest - The largest rainforest in the entire world, the Tengel is home to almost all of the exotic creatures you can find at the Evelon Zoo. Even now, scientists struggle to explore the dark depths and uncharted regions of the rainforests to seek out new exotic species and document them. Gyrraptors stalk stealthily through the dense growth, Leaflets bud all along the wet earth, Pollies flit freely through the trees; this place is teeming with life, not to mention the parasites. This is also the homeland of the Kamo Kuhna, though sadly, almost all of them have been killed by poachers and captured by black marketers who sell them over to Lambastia for extremely high prices...

The Slums - This is the most likely place you'll find all the poachers and black marketers, but you'll still have quite a hard time at it. This place is usually never seen by tourists, for it is the home of all sorts of disagreable bunches and as located in grimy clearing in the outskirts of the Tengel. Thieves, jungle marauders, hunters, fugitives all make their homes here. Most of the houses here are shacks made of found metal scrap, and all the inhabitants here carry on life as any other. Sometimes, even a family or two can be found here, though why'd they want to live in such a grimy place is beyond me...
