Ava tilted her head slightly at Sencha, a little bemused by his change in posture. "Okay. I'll give you a regular sized slice, then." Holding the knife steady with both hands, Ava carefully cut a slice of cake out for Sencha. Holding her tongue in between her teeth, Ava transferred the slice to his plate. All the tension in Ava's shoulders drained away, and she let out a huge sigh. "Phew. Alright, eat up!" Holding back a tired yawn, Ava took a sip of tea, hoping that the caffeine would kick in soon.

Sencha blinked as the slice of cake appeared on his plate, and his eyes lit up, his tail barely beginning to twitch again. He glanced back at the knife, blinking as Ava set it down, then smiled warmly, relaxing. "Thank you!" he chirped, picking up a fork and cutting a piece off, quickly taking a bite. "Mm!" he made a muffled affirmation as to the cake's goodness, and he quickly went for another bite, his words quieting as he ate. Not that he really needed to eat, but cake was cake, and delicious regardless.

Ava positively radiated light at Sencha's approval, and she beamed at him, beginning to bounce in her seat slightly. "Oh, I'm glad you like it! Does it really taste okay? You're not just lying to make me feel good, are you?" Ava was half-joking, a laugh in her voice, and she concentrated on cutting herself a small slice as well, moving the knife carefully. She and knives had a bad history. Too many nicked fingers in the kitchen.

"Mm mm!" Sencha insisted, shaking his head and swallowing, sitting back in contentment and sucking on his fork. "Mmm... no, I wouldn't lie about something like that. Lying is bad, especially about good things!" he insisted, taking a big bite and chewing, then set the plate down to sip at his tea, gone cold, though he didn't mind. "Oh!" he exclaimed after a moment, blinking at Ava with large eyes. "Do you have any movies we could watch?" he asked, leaning forward with a hopeful expression. "I love cute movies..."

Ava looked a little surprised at Sencha's question, and she thought for a moment, shifting in her seat. "Um, I have a few..." Ava paused, then yawned loudly, covering her mouth with the back of her hand. She shook her head, as if to clear it, and let out small, silly giggle. "I might fall asleep, though. Let's see..." Leaving her untouched cake behind, Ava picked herself up off of the floor, holding onto the back of the chair. "We could watch something on my computer. I do own a couple of disney movies, though. Tangled is a favorite..."

Sencha watched her stand up, his tail swishing in excitement as he leaned back again, and he stood up as well, walking over to gently steady her with a few fingers on her arm. "Oh? I don't think I've seen that one," Sencha said, blinking with a smile. Then again, he hadn't seen many human movies anyway. "Can we watch that? Please?" he asked, trying not to bounce, for fear his horns would poke the low ceiling.

Ava looked at the hand on her arm, as if she wasn't sure how that had gotten there. She smiled up at Sencha's face, looking a little sleepy, and she nodded her head. "Of course. It's my favorite movie. Do you know Rapunzel? It's based on that story. Except it's a Disney movie, so they changed it a lot. But I still love it..." Ava trailed off, looking down at the tea leftovers on the floor. She sighed, then reached down and picked up her plate of cake. "I'll finish this in the living room," she murmured to herself.

Returning her attention back to Sencha, Ava nodded at him, gesturing for them both to go into the next room, where there was a lot of art supplies and unfinished paintings, and a big, worn-out couch pushed up against the wall. A computer was charging on the floor in front of it. "I don't have any bigger screens," she murmured through a yawn, plopping down on the sofa.

Sencha followed her in, knocking his horns on the doorframe by accident, to which he apologized to the frame, or maybe to Ava. He wasn't sure which. Sencha smiled and picked his way over to the couch, careful not to step on anything as he sat down beside her, barely bouncing her up with his weight. "Oh, I don't mind," he said, settling back on the couch, his tail curled neatly over his lap. "Movies are movies. Big screens make me a little nervous, anyway," he mused to himself.

Ava let out a startled noise as Sencha's weight bounced her up, and she blinked for a moment before letting out a small giggle. "I love going to the movies," she said, opening her computer and pulling up the movie player. "Something about it makes me really excited. Horror movies aren't that fun in a movie theater, but it's better to watch it somewhere else than my room." Ava moved the computer so it was half balanced on Sencha's leg, and half on hers. She glanced at the hulking demon, a happy light in her eyes, and she settled down next to him, her shoulder brushing his. Ava was content to fill their conversation with her own chatter, even though her voice was beginning to slur with sleepiness. I" can't wait for the next Disney movie to come out. It looks really good..."

Sencha perked slightly as her shoulder brushed his, and he settled down, growing still so that he wouldn't disturb her. "Oh, I don't like horror movies..." he mumbled, shivering slightly and shaking his head. In truth, he just didn't like big screens. It made him feel strange when there were people that were bigger than him. Sencha shifted, reaching out to gently tilt the screen until he could see it a little better. "Is this ok?" he asked, looking down at her with a bright smile, his tail tip twitching and tapping the back of the laptop.

"That's fine, that's fine," Ava assured Sencha, giggling as she saw Sencha's tail. She glanced at the demon, then pressed play on the movie, and settled back against the demon's shoulder. Taking a bite of cake, Ava let out a huge yawn, covering her mouth with both hands. "Jeez, sorry about that. I don't know why I'm so tired all of a sudden..."

Sencha blinked down at her, his ears barely perked as the movie started, and he shook his head with a smile. "Ah, no, don't worry about it..." he murmured, steadying the laptop on his half of his lap, and he blinked at her. "Do you want me to hold the computer so you can eat better?" he offered, already sliding the laptop better onto his own lap so she could have her cake in hers, and he smiled inwardly at himself, hoping he was being a little helpful. It was the least he could do, really.

Ava nodded slowly, not arguing with Sencha since he already had the computer in his lap. She sighed through her nose, her eyelids so heavy, and she took a bite of cake as the movie opened on Rapunzel and her chameleon. Her head began to bob slightly as her eyes began to close. Taking a deep breath, Ava straightened herself up, forcing herself not to fall asleep, and she rubbed at her eyes with her hands. What on earth was wrong with her today? She had had plenty of energy earlier, why was she suddenly in nap mode? Her eyebrows drew together in a pout, and she glared at the screen, forcing her vision not to go fuzzy.

Sencha, however, seemed to be growing more and more chipper with each passing moment, his tail flicking slightly with a restless energy. He blinked as he saw Ava falling asleep, and a small smile appeared on his face. "Aw," he murmured, a chuckle escaping him, and he moved one arm to wrap around her shoulders to prevent her from falling over, and smiled slightly to himself as he felt energy flow back into his veins. This more than made up for what that person had taken from him...

Suddenly, the doorbell rang, making Sencha jump in his seat slightly with surprise. "Eh? Who's that?" he wondered out loud, lightly prodding Ava in the shoulder. "Hey, the doorbell rang..."

Ava roused herself as the doorbell echoed through the house. Rubbing at her eyes, Ava leaned away from Sencha, trying to wake herself up. She had almost fallen asleep right on Sencha's shoulder; that was so embarrassing. Putting the computer to the side, Ava stood up, wobbling slightly, then she shook her head back and forth to wake herself up. Looking back at Sencha, she gave him a small smile. "You just wait here, okay? I'll go see who it is. It's probably..." Ava cut herself off with a yawn, bringing both hands to cover her mouth. "The mailman, or something..."

With that, Ava walked out into the hallway towards the door. Leaning up on her tip toes, Ava peered through the peep hole, her eyes widening at the person waiting on her porch. Her heart leaped to her throat; what was he doing here? Ava didn't think that he was in town. A smile growing on her face, Ava unlocked the door and opened it wide, beaming up at the man at her door, a little dizzy from excitement. "Hi..."
